IIRC I had spent the five game hours to get that clay pot to give to the guy so I could cross the sea path or whatever. I've already killed Yohm and the Emperor so I think I am pretty close to the final boss (as Ryu's party).

It took me long enough to actually own a copy of it but so far I've been enjoying the hell out of it.
