  1. KOTOR = 5 letters TSL = 3 letters TOR = 3 letters 3 / 3 = 1 5 - 3 = 2 2 + 1 = 3 KOTOR 3 Confirmed.
  2. I can only think of nine right now sadly.. Luke Skywalker Thrawn Bastila Nom Anor Mara Jade Boba Fett Wedge Darth Nihilus Darth Malgus
  3. I pity you, the appeal of that game got me to download the demo, I didn't even get through the first cutscene. The single player in that game is by far one of the worst things I've had the joy of only briefly experiencing. I play that game quite often though, the multiplayer is great, I just pretend that the single player doesn't exist. I voted sometimes, I wander into blockbuster every now and then and see whats there, it all depends on if I think I'm actually going to enjoy the game or not. If it's in question, I rent it first, if its undoubtable, I buy first. Then there's games I already own on a different platform, like Cod4, I've rented it twice now for xbox, even though I have it on PC. It's nice to be able to play with different friends for once. But I'm not going to buy it again, that would be just stupid.
  4. I do the whole mod thing, usually Fallout 3 since it's such a new scene. I tend to avoid reskins unless there absolutely godlike in every aspect. But I'm always up for even the smallest quest mod, no matter what the reward, always fun to see what someone can come up with.
  5. I remember that conversation the first time I played TSL, for the rest of the game I was all "Who the eff is this Reven chick and why do I care that she's a Sith..." I guess that's what I get for playing sequels first. <_<
  6. QFT I have an Facebook account, but I only add people I actually care about and know. If your stupid enough to actually add any of the Stranger Dangers you find out there, you deserve having your identity stolen.
  7. I agree with everything Jmac has said... You mean you use VNC Player, you can't actually play anything directly using the K-Lite codec pack... And from what CCCP claims, K-Lite is crap. Unless your retagging your entire 40 gig library your not going to need auto-tagging in iTunes. If you have the physical ability to "Shift+Click" you have the ability to tag an entire CD in under 5 minutes. I know this from mainly because, believe it or not, I actually enjoy tagging my music as much as listening to it. I've used Safari and IE, yeah, to download the Firefox 3.1. I don't like Safari, I've even used it on a Mac, I just plain don't like it. As for Chrome, I've used it, liked it, but found it to unreliable, I've had times when Chrome's told me I've been banned from my school's website, yet works fine in Firefox and IE. deleted Those two CD's were BY FAR the worst tagged CD's I've ever downloaded. The only thing I had to change was that "Blood Sex Sugar Magik" had it's artist field tagged as "The Red Hot Chili Peppers" rather than "Red Hot Chili Peppers." I actually own those two CD's, but I still find it easier just to download them. I'm running a Thinkpad, which has a CD drive that not only sounds like a Buzzsaw, but also heats up enough to make you sweat. Oversharing! --Jae Anyway... I think iTunes has took a step in the right direction by getting rid of DRM. The problem with DRM is you feel like your renting something rather than actually buying it. Sadly, this does nothing for the actual quality of the music artists are pumping out, for every "Mars Volta" and "Wolfmother" theres three "Fallout Boy" (Not to be confused with Vault Boy) and "My Chemical Romance." Mallcore is wrong in every way.
  8. My personal favorites, Super Contra (aka Super C) (NES) Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.) River City Ransom (NES) All the music in this game is just awsome. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.) Halo To bad the second and third games couldn't match the epicness of the first. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.) Call of Duty: World at War Nazi Zombie Theme (x360) Just for the change from the classics None of the lyrics are actually used in game, because 90% sure it would ruin the epic effect Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.)
  9. I prefer this method too, I got a small scratch on my Fallout 3 disk, if I didn't "aquire" a second copy I would be in pain right now. It's prefer the boxes, direct downloads are subject to the venders competence, I prefer the boxed disks anyday. I think the reason why things like Onlive are getting so popular is because of pirates, it's often much easier to pirate something than to suffer the consequences of DRM. Which can be crippling. I've heard stories of people having their CD burners completely disabled just because they installed Spore. I'm not much of a PC fan, mainly because of having to suffer the adverse effects of wanting to use a laptop rather than a desktop.
  10. Pro tip, don't use the 360 headsets, I failed Sabotage on easy using one of those -_- I've yet to get the second one, is there a huge difference in the games?
  11. Yeah, a lot of people get all worked up about knowing where their supposed to go. Games like Fable II, Oblivion, and to a lesser extent, Fallout 3 do it quite well. I'm hoping that a Questhelper for TOR will be unnecessary. Grinding through the repetitive Outland and Old World style quests again would probably kill me. Northrend isn't as bad, but it's still VERY boring. Great idea, one of my favorite features from X-Perl interface from WoW. Before I used that particular addon, I used to die all the time in raids because I was way to busy watching my Cooldowns then my health bar, which are on polar opposite sides of the screen. Nothing like trying to figure out why you DPS is so low, only to find out your dead... I think that would be a great idea. However, if it isn't implemented, there's still alternatives, like XFire (My personal Favorite) and PlayExpert. That would be great too, however, I think it may tip the balance towards Jedi. But a Grip followed by a Lightning would just be so cool. Agreed. However, I've seen way to many "Free 2 Play" mmo's that are basically copy + pasta of the WoW ui, right down to the dragons on the unit frames. Well, if theirs macro support, I wouldn't be surprised if there was one, at least off the start. Before WoW protected most of it's combat related functions, you could create a bot just using the in game macro editor. Agreed, another one of those oh so needed features. I figure healing should be done through a Point-To-Heal style interface similar to Healbot. And even if it's not, I'm willing to bed it would be one of the first addons created for TOR. Installing healbot increases your healing effectiveness by at least 15% alone.
  12. Great list, I noticed a few thing's missing though: Hit Rating (Also known as Spell Hit, or HR) The chance that you will hit an enemy of the same level as you. Hit Cap: The maximum amount of hit rating you need to no longer "miss" your target. Unfortunately, the math involved in calculating Hit Rating and the Hit Cap, is way above me, so I simply use This to do all the work. The key thing to know though, is that the "Cap" is different for each class. It's based off talents, which usually give some form of Hit Rating, Buffs, or what orientation of weapon your currently wielding (i.e Two Hander, One Hander, Duel Wield). Spell Cap is pretty much the same thing, except with spells. However, I pray that this stat won't be in TOR, it's a big pain to have to constantly compensate for Hit Rating -_-. (Heh, I played Enhancement Shaman in WoW, I had to cap both Melee and Spell hit, if they hadn't have merged the two "hits" in 3.0, I would have died.)
  13. I played WoW quite religiously for about a year and a half, and Guild Wars, for about 10 minutes. I wasn't a fan of how everyone looked nearly the same, and the ability to make a max leveled character right away. The brief Guild Wars stint was in my "I friggen hate WoW!" stage <_<
  14. Just a little update I'm close to 90% done, just a bit more testing and It should be ready. I'm mainly worried about the Globals, I gotta make sure Canderous knows that you opened the base. EDIT: Oh forgot to mention, rather than have T3 just follow you after you buy him, I have it set up so you tell him to go to the Sith Base. He'll go there and wait, then, you simply tell him to hack the door and he does so. I figured this would be quicker than creating a small black hole of scripts by making him follow you. I'm also going to leave him on the Ebon Hawk as a pile of droid, that way you'll be able to "un-install" the companion mod if one so pleases.
  15. How do you guys feel the User Interface is going to work in TOR? The UI, or lack thereof, could make or break a game. I've noticed that Bioware sticks to a similar style interface throughout (most) of their games. They work, but I've never really liked there "THIS IS CONTEXT SENSITIVE" labels that appeared whenever I found a box or something in Mass Effect. I'm hoping for a UI that is: Transparent. I know this sounds gimmicky, but I'm a big fan of Transparency. Being able to perceive threats even with your inventory open is a big thing for me. (I had a bad habit of leaving crap open in WoW.) Tard Proof. Someday, I run low on intelligence. Spending hours trying to figure out where one of my lightsabers is just isn't fun. I'd like to see a system similar to Questhelper. However, this is all dependent on how questing is done, or how well the dialogue is done. Hot key....able. I quit wow about 2 or 3 months ago, and strangely enough I still remember every single Hotkey I regularly used. I always hated clicking, adding the ability to open everything you need by pressing a different key. Extendable. Being able to extend the UI through community created modifications would be great. I doubt I could have played WoW for so long without Questhelper. Any other ideas for the UI?
  16. Every one of those bugs you listed is for TSL, Bioware didn't make TSL. Man, people really need to think about what were talking about here. It's an MMO, there HAS to be patches. When will we see that? 2011? A lot of the people who were intent on playing that patch, have long since disappeared or moved on. Nobody can, thats why MMO's completly blow in their first week, I remember the WoW 3.0 launch, that was a pretty bad time period xD, but man, it seriously made you want to play just that much more. So, Starcraft 2, and Diablo 2 don't count? The reason why there not making a new Warcraft game is because they've killed everyone who's in them. TOR takes place 300 years after TSL, that means that theres still plenty of things they could put into a potential K3. This are all single player games, all of those rules mean nothing when compared to an MMO. You pay monthly for this. The development team fixes the bugs, and keeps the servers running smoothly, sure they eff up every now and then, but that's natural. Alas, that is totally subjective. However, I partially agree, their work on Mass Effect was mediocre at best. Most of the Oblivion and Fallout mods are variations on some nude mod, or some revealing Armour for females, that's located in the craderside supply/balmora/Imperial City. Oblivion however, does indeed have a few good storyline mods. The Lost Spires is great, and I remeber a lot of good Morrowind mods. But the thing is, none of the can hold a candle to "The Pitt/Bloodmoon/Tribunal/Shivvering Isles." Most modders are content with reskinning the Daedric armour for the sixth time. I would love to be proven wrong.
  17. Actually, that makes a lot of sense, I'd have to say I agree with that. I still have to say I disagree, Caedus wasn't really much of a fighter in the first place, he barely beat Mara, and only did it because he pulled a "cheap shot" through the force. He's powerful yes, but he's definitely not as good as "Take-an-entire-army-of-droids-out-and-smash-there-big-smasher-thing-all-without-saying-a-word-or-breaking-a-sweat Windu" I Agreed that Vader wasn't tottally rational, but he's packed full of Emotion (Similar to Caedus vs. Mara), which is pretty much one of the key parts of being a Sith. That would have granted him tonnes of power. I totally forgot about him, he's definitely on that list, someone who can hold together an entire ship with his hate would have to be a pretty powerful guy. I know his sounds weird, but I feel TFU seriously over-exaggerated his powers, like yeah, he's was super powerful, but so was Sidous, and he wasn't running around throwing force pushes like pies. I wouldn't count him as being powerful, mainly because he wasn't powerful because he was, well, powerful, but because the TFU Development team needed him to be.
  18. I agree with this list, only slightly different: Darth Sidious Yoda Anakin/Vader Luke Skywalker [ROTJ] Revan Mace Windu Jacen Solo Kyp Durron Obi-wan Kenobi Malak I'd put Vader of Luke in ROTJ, frankly, because it seems about right. However, at the time when Luke took out Shimra I'd say him and his father were about even. I moved Jacen down mainly because he definitely isn't as powerful as Windu. Maybe in alternative uses of the force, but not in combat. Obi-Wan over Malak mainly because he could take out the #3 most powerful Jedi in his prime. And Dooku? Come on, Kyp could take him out in a second. But I agree with what was said earlier, this argument comes up way to awesome with the "Reven vs. x" threads. Also, with that "Reven Was good With Foresight" stuff, if that's so true, how did Malak manage to blindside him so easily?
  19. I think your just being a troll now. You seem to have this "I already hate this game and it already sucks" attitude going on. Since, judging by how you didn't mention anything that was truly exciting about WoW, you've probably played it for 10, 15 minutes max, alone, as a Night Elf Warrior. You don't have to play WoW either, there is plenty other MMO's out there, i.e Eve online, Warhammer, Age of Conan, Lord of The Rings Online, Final Fantasy Online (Which is the only one that runs on xbox at the moment). WoW is just the most polished and popular, for a very good reason. Or you could just keep complaining, that works too.
  20. From past experiences, you would need to pay the monthly fee for the MMO if it was on Xbox. Final Fantasy online worked on silver, if I remember correctly. Although I personally wouldn't buy it for a console. You would most likely have to use a keyboard, quickly defeating the purpose. But I guarantee, buying it for Xbox is NOT a way to get out of the monthly fee, MMO's cost significant amounts of money to maintain and keep running, cut out the monthly fee, and all the company is doing is losing money.
  21. While I understand your optimism, the chances of TOR turning into a single player RPG this far into development are very small. The game already has a large following, changing everything up now would be just too costly.
  22. I'm going to set t up so that he still appears in the ebon hawk, but, he can't be taken on missions. I'll include a small dialog option that will allow you to "re-recruit" him just in case you uninstall a recruit mod or something. I'm about 50% done now, I was expecting to get it done by the end of this weekend, however, the laptop I so recently got repaired, committed hardware suicide after 15 minutes of me having it out of the box. Moral of the story is, don't buy thinkpads and expect to get competent service. All in in all, I should have her done by monday.
  23. Without fail, Cathar, I like Ithorians, I like Aqualish, can't stand Cathar, everything about Juhani repulses me.
  24. Just found this, in development gameplay footage for ME2, looks pretty much the same as the first one, maybe they'll work on the terribad cover system.
  25. They wanted to avoid replacing Juhani because of Recruitable Kay, since a lot of people use it.
