    Anyways, I am going to enter the coordinates and see some stuff in-game... I will try to send you a screen. I have my override still installed, so the Stalker still had the Tuscan hunchback animation in the dialog. Did Dak fix that? I think I remember that he did.

    Well, I actually got my hands dirty and played through the Endar Spire just now! It was fun to play KotOR again, which is a good sign for my modding!!

     

    Anyways, I have coords for various things. I have decided that because of the flow of playthrough, I think it works best to only spawn one group of the duders... otherwise it is overkill, as there are enemies at nearly every turn in the two Endar Spire modules.

     

    I also have an idea for a computer console in the PC/Trask dormitory. That console could be used to implement whether people want to see the tutorials that Trask provides (because they are noobs) or they want your improved immersion, sans tutorial, approach. That is then accomplished by simply including the original dlg and the edited version, and from that point on either the original dlg will continue, or the edited will take over. Just a thought....

  7. All you need to make the Jawa Shop and Mekel mod work out is a merged global.jrl

     

    I know your computer cannot use the tools, so if you are still wanting this, let me know, and I will make a merged .jrl that you can put in your override and play-on.

  8. Are the items I am giving overpowered? I know I need to edit the Sith Stalker... way too hard to defeat at that level, even though you have the temporary invincibility thing going on. Although, with the new items in the footlocker, maybe that battle will be a little more manageable... hmmm.

     

    Anyways, the main thing I need to do now is make .utc's for the assassins. I have to make two versions, one for the leader that will "see" your PC and Trask, and the other two will follow the leader. We will need someone who actively plays the game to test the encounters for balance... I have a tendency to make enemies too strong :)

     

    The good news: the scripting actually really is done now. It is saved, and as soon as I make the utc's, I will send you a package!

  9. Enjoying time off between jobs, playing with the new psmove controllers, just finished playing Jedi Academy (on PC) for the first time and loved it (GOD MODE was necessary).... I cheated a lot, as I found a very hard time competing in the swordplay. Then today, I decided to look at the laser of my mouse and found a giant dust bunny in there. Needless to say, my mouse is tracking much better, and I perhaps didn't need to cheat SO MUCH!!!!

     

    You deserve some rest! I am always watching the progress of your mod, although I will stay away from the Demo.... I am practicing patience, which helps me mod :) , and I want to see the finished project and play it for all its glory then!

     

    Now if I can only figure out the best way to accomplish this little goal, going for a small yet seamless ( :p ) integration to K1. Or, if I can only figure out the right questions to ask Holowan...... ;)

  10. Going pretty well Logan, thanks for asking! I hope you can say the same :)

    Holowan has been pretty slow lately, and I haven't been modding much meself... although I am writing a bit for my K1 special character Redux... At some point, I am either going to need to learn a little about modeling or get a little help from redrob41 on a "leisure suit" for a certain dude. My big obstacle is voicing all of the dialog for the mod... it is just one character, but there is a fair amount of vanilla VO to redo/replace, and then all the added content. I will probably do it myself, as it would be hard to get someone else to do all that work in a timely manner, and up to the standard I am looking for.

     

    Hope RoR is continuing strong, and that you are able to balance work/life/modding... with a little time for a lady and recreation :lol:

    i am going to look at the talk-fight-talk tutorial again... i think it may be the answer here, as well as using the dialog editor to break things up into several smaller scripts rather than one big ring to rule them all

     

    EDIT: the talk-fight-talk sequence tutorial is excellent for this. we can apply the looping dead animation when the leader gets < 10 hp (while making him also immortal so he cannot "die").

  12. Having a busy stretch, but I am not frozen... My difficulty now actually lies in dialog extraction. I have been having a major brain fart and actually cannot remember where to find the dialogs for extraction, and somehow cannot find that tutorial here in our own forums :lol:

     

    That is silliness to be sure, but nevertheless true enough! It will be done, the issue boils down to ( in my veteran but not expert opinion ) is that the spawning of the Assassins and the Stalker in the OnEnter, with their corresponding OnPerception events, is too much for the engine to think about. This turns up with everybody appearing, but either not in the correct placement and/or not spawning invisibly (sigh... yeah that again)

     

    Hopefully knock it out on Saturday. If you have trask's dialog extracted and laying it down, send it to me and I won't have to bang my head on the desk :p

  13. Hey bill, just noticed you were online... What you doing with that GTX480 lately? Sure could use that powerhouse again on the folding@LFN team! Get back in the fold man!!!

     

    A weak guilt trip... and not an important one, to be sure. If you are cutting back on the power bill, or trying to save your rig, I understand. I just know that when you were folding, that thing kicked ass!

    I will send you a PM tomorrow, with a few questions and requests for you, so that I can more easily finish what we have started.

     

    The new show is called "Single Ladies" and will be on MTV... We did our camera test today while I was rigging the sky with socapex and 4aught.... the actresses and extras are head-spinning, some quite stunning, I nearly fell out of my condor!!!

  15. Hey bud, my stuff will be done today, with the exception of thorough testing.

     

    I have made the container script so that we can add other class-specific items to the container if we please, as well as adding items regardless of class. I remember you not wanting to make it an uber-item locker, and I agree with that... My question is, what other stuff do we want to put in that container?

     

    If you can give me a little list of items, I can add them to the script. They can be, as mentioned, class-specific or general.

     

    Hope you aren't too busy this weekend! It should be enjoyed my brother!!

     

    By the way, you asked me how things are going on my end, and I simply hoped things are going well for you. A little rude on my part if you ask me :ugh: So, what's going on with you in RL?

    I just started a new show, which means my time for the next few months for modding will be limited, as will my forum time :(

     

    I will be sending PM's to a few of my fine feathered f®iends, as there are a couple loose ends for me to tie up.

     

    I will be around, just not as much.

     

    @j7 - PM I did get... so sorry, but I had to work Saturday and Sunday and never had the time to respond. It is weird as an American that is a freelancer, working on Super Bowl Sunday... I will be in contact soon!

    i want to ask you a question about the [edit]bad arses[edit], so I can do appropriate spawning for what we are looking for (then I will actually go in game and get some coordinates). Also, I want to maybe get an item list for what we should be dumping into our PC's container in his/her quarters.

     

    In my imagination, we want to spawn in one, maybe two groups of 3 [edit]bad arses[edit], (spawning in as immediately hostile and on the attack) spawning in the same as the stalker but without the convo, and bearing the appropriate weapons... is there a comparable weapon in K1 to what the [edit]bad arses[/edit] used in TSL?

It is up there, I went wacky and removed all the brackets.... otherwise you wouldn't be able to see anything but the sig....

     

    Hope you are well, sorry about the BSOD, if it is GPU related let me know, I have a spare BFG GT210 512mb laying around collecting dust... not strong as a folder, but perfectly good enough to max KotOR settings. You want it, pay for the shipping and it's yours.

    Glad that you are folding... we need to get Milt back into the "fold"... I just passed him on the list!!

     

    Anyways, I always see your name on the list of folders, and I think back to when we first met on those old forums... I was pretty tough on you, and you took it like a champ. I really hope that you are winning more than you are losing, and always keeping your head up!

  21. Hmmm.... has the Deadly Stream userlist been purged again?? It seems that my account has once again been destroyed, which is mildly disturbing as I am still considered (I think I am still) a part of the M4-78RP.

     

    I can say that Hassat Hunter covered most of the bases. What I do not know about the leaked beta that is out there, is if it is JUST the leaked beta, or if it is the *updated* leaked beta.

     

    If the person who posted the leaked beta updated it before they put it out there, the mod is hopelessly ruined by a poisoning done by Dashus to put the screws to the leak-lovers out there. I liked that then, and still kinda like it.

     

    If it is just the plain old leak, then HH covers most of the issues. Honestly, it is impossible to recall what else might have been wrong, as I was testing 9, 10 and 11 before the mod went dead, and to know what was wrong with 8 is just too far back...

  22. I am about to fall into fifteen million particles of Georgia red clay, sweat and blood. Rigging has been hardcore lately, involving a great deal of actual ditch-digging, trenching, backfilling.... not my normal job description. The joys of working on a period piece...

    Good excuse to shake the rust off and do some work on some old projects of mine. I have great ideas on the shelf, with very little work done on them.... familiar amongst us wannabes like me!
