  1. i guess i would like to see a tiny Palpatine training , then Kyle Katarn story are quite interesting enough to get a movie. But honestly a Yoda movie would be awesome there are so little info of Yoda's life story.

  3. lol, prove me wrong that all of this can be done with only the sdk. Oh make it SP and MP compatible, since you seem to be almighty in this knowledge. also "whiny"? really? is that all you came out with? All you did point out was absolutely nothing. have you done all that? because for the past 9 ~10 years that i play this game i've haven't seen most of that in mods. wonder if you did go to wikipedia to check what Pandora's box is.

  5. i would suggest you to go on the jkhub forums there is an ongoing project for mapping and etc. I'm having a hard time to fully understand what you want, at first you ask for how to make a new SP story mod, np we kinda helped. then you ask about making a map which has a start and an end, we kinda did answer, now you ask for animation tutorials? it's very confussing. you know how to map, right? then my suggestion "map" make a map that goes with your story (if you have any) make the map playable with puzzles to solve if that require animation make notes of where those animations have to be and then once the map is complete come back here post some screenshots of the areas that need those animation and i'm sure that some animator will help you out. multitasking at the same time isn't good at all, trust me on this.

  7. are you sure that is for Jk/JA? damn thins is looking amazing!! at first i thought it was taken from Doom 3 but after having a good look, i got confused if you are making those maps to look so good what went wrong at LA to make something this good?
  8. nope that wouldn't require a new engine it would require new animations and code related stuff to implement it on OpenJK. It is totally possible to do it since the JA and Jo source code are Open Sourced, OpenJK that is the main project has been busy to bug fix and adding new stuff to the games' source code. JK2 and JA can be run from a single *.exe, check the 1st post of this topic, which was updated today.

  10. oh alright, kinda nice thinking that one will be a pain, i meaning JA has the most complex gameplay that i know of. to implement that i would have to think about remaking the combos, and etc to be less complex. kinda like "Brink" but i don't want a SMART key that does every thing in game.
  11. 25 i didn't understand that one 26 only if you can aim at the cable hook to prevent it front coming back - just NO 27 not a bad idea though there isn't much to do in a lightsaber, if in the EU each light saber is unique upgrading them would require making a new entirely.

I understand your point of view Katanamaru,in my believe is that taking consideration of the AI, while playing at JA in Jedi Master, is still kinda easy to win against. the only challenging npcs are force users and specially Boss-lvl NPCs. making force power more powerful would make the game even more easy, that's how i feel. It is kinda like you make a motorcycle engine reach very high speed without making the break to be able to slow down your motorcycle.
  13. Yeah I get the idea. That would require things like new skin for force powers, new animations, new sounds probably. There was a supposed mod that aimed to implement a TFU mod to JA but I've no idea what end that mod had.

  15. Yeah since yesterday or so. Raven took the repository down to remove some files that could be very problematic, JACoders have created a tithing repository where they are working on the JA engine. https://github.com/Razish/OpenJK the idea for this project is toto fix the games and concentrate all coding efforts to a single place, an sdk will be made and they hope that all mods will be ported to that sdk when is it released.   16. well in the SW Expanded Universe (books+ comics) the the witches of Dathomir can use "spells" to use water, fire and maybe wind (air). Here is an idea, as i said in my previous post using combinations of basic force powers are a nice thing to have, then it would be possible to choose which power a player would want to learn, i.e. push/pull, sense and force speed/jump are the default force power like when Kyle in JO needs to go to the Jedi Academy to relearn his powers, then after a while (XP based or mission based, maybe?) the players unlocks additional powers, water, fire, wind, lightening.
  17. there are some nice ideas indeed, but i've been thinking about the force powers for quite a while, when i played TFU 1 and 2 I liked how simple the force powers were set. few basic powers like grip, push, lightening and then combined to make very powerful powers. By far, TFU 1 had a nice feel of becoming stronger. Also i would to see stuff like inventory management ingame and when you grab a mission in JA i would like to leave only with my lightsaber, using gun feels totally "uncivilised" (quoting Obi Wan). I know that JA has only stromtroopers to be mostly slain but i also would like to see NPCs like in TFU games that can fight with melee weapons and has shields that can stop a light saber and make you feel hell where-ever you are. Reborns are fun but unchalenging, i think. co-op for the SP would be nice to see it implemented
  18. errr, the title might be misleading but it's a (Star Wars Jedi Knight's fan) journalist wish. just like my own wish to have a reboot or remake of JK series with a modern engine and all.

  20. but at least we have JA src code and JO src code release as open source since earlier today. we can easily as a community make something good out of it.
