  1. Once you have K1 and Kotor Tool downloaded you need to go to the following directories and select which Double-Bladed Lightsaber for Darth Bandon you're going to us (I believe that's why you VMed me), I'm going to assume that you're going to use the red one.

BIFs / Templates / Blueprint, Item / and scroll down for the g_w_dblsbr002.utc and double click it.

For now the main thing you want to focuse on are the four tabs, for you being a beginner you want to pay the most attention to the properties and description tabs.

Properties - This is where you go to add properties to the weapon such as damage bonuses and attribute gains. There are numberous things you can do here and most of them are selfexplainatory and I'm not going to take the time to describe each one because there are so many. But add or change anything you want here to you're satisfaction and you'll be halfway there.

  2. Description - You can change the name to "Darth Bandon's Lightsaber" in the name field and this will be the name of the item in the game. The same also goes for the item description, for that you might write "This was the weapon of Malak's apprentice Darth Bandon."

At this point you can save your item, but make it something unique so that it doesn't override another item. If you follow the same item naming system that K1 uses, name it anything greater than "g_w_dblsbr006.utc".

Once the file is in the override folder you can start up K1 one, enter in "giveitem 'item's file name'" and you should have it in your inventory.

Hope this helps and if you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

  3. Sorry, Canderis

  4. If I can dig it up in my hard drive, I made a mod a while back that allows the pc to talk to a Jedi on the Ebon Hawk making everybody except pre-existing Jedi such as Bastila and the droids into Jedi. You can decide what class the companion becomes, what kind of Lightsaber, and what color it is. I'll PM you a link to it if I can find it.
  5. Okay, thanks; that kind of clears things up. Looks like I'll have to use my imagination for this one.
  6. Responding to what?

  7. Does anybody know of any resources or anything about the most important people associated to Revan before the events of the Jedi Civil War besides Darth Malak. I'm trying to design something for K1 revolving around Revan's past and how he was influenced by the most important people in his life.
  8. Hey payne, sorry I haven't spoken for a while. Question for you though. I lost the New Korriban Tomb mod but it hasn't been forgotten. I'm working on a new planet that will have the New Korriban Tomb as a sequal.

Would you want to have a part in the new planet?

  9. the actual script is k_sp1_generic, though I highly recommend you stay away from this file. It's okay to look around and copy code but don't add anything. Bioware programed this file to make every Force Power work through this single file. I would recomment you simply make a new file. From what I understand you want Force Aura to be a continuous effect. You'd have to send the power itself through a looping cycle and apply affects; I would do this myself but have no idea what you want specifically.
  10. I'm not making any guarantees but I think I might be able to do this, though it won't be holding down a button. I won't be able to do anything with it until tomorrow though, too many classes going on for the rest of the afternoon. -----Edit----- Sorry but I cannot do this. The problem is that the script is looking for a specific area to walk to and if you're the PC that would like of suck, be forced to move from one place to another and I don't know of another way of going about the problem. Sorry.
  11. What he is saying is that the more people you get together working on a mod may sound logical, the more people working, the more that gets done quicker but in reality it only causes problems. Take my advice, learn how to: construct areas - easy reskin - medium script - hard Scripting really isn't as bad as it sounds, I've been working on a new planet for a few months now and presently now half way through. Guess what, I don't know how to write one line of programming for the scripts but there's an easy way to get around this. Take preprogrammed scripts, figure out what makes them work and customize them to fit what you want to do, honestly it's not as bad as it sounds. The best thing you can do is to learn the basics and work your way up. The Brotherhood of Shadow is deffinately the highest quality mod that I know of and this took one guy I believe a hard year of constructing the mod. You can go for less quality to a degree but not much before it begins to fall apart. Learn the basics and start modding yourself. If you are still consistant about assembling a team, make a few good mods (not storylines or Total Conversions) to establish a reputation, then go to work on this truly massive poject. You're talking about twice the size of the original Brotherhood of Shadow. Sorry, don't mean to blow you're bubble.
  12. I don't mean to burst you're bubble but the first one, completely doable, though I can't do it at the moment, too man projects I'm working on; but the second one I don't think is possible.
  13. I think this would really be cool to have but to do it just by posting an idea and hoping that somebody will do this for you will almost never happen. What you are trying to do will require from what I read (about 2/3rds) it will take at least 10 new modeled modules, probably on the closer end of 1000 scripts, and a hell of a lot of time, no lest than a year if it were done properly. The best thing I can tell you is to learn the basics of how to mod, work into various areas, start making a few really nice mods to gain a reputation, then proceed with this monumentous project of yours. I don't mean to disappoint you for not doing this but I encourage you to start modding so one day hopefully this thing will come out.
  14. Yes, the tombs need to be Sith oriented and they also did/do have lightsabers

  15. I'll be waiting for you

  16. That will be fine, I'll give you the go ahead for the "Minion" statues guarding the tomb. Also remember, be as creative as you want.

  17. Something to the effect of an ancient Sith Emperor decked out in some kind of royal robe and crown.

  18. Something in this position. Make the person more "Emperor" looking and dark sided.

  19. hold that thought about the statues, I'll look for something; it will probably be somewhere between 12 to 1 before I really have a chance to find it because of classes

  20. That's great and it will be for k1

    New GUI

I'm glad that I'm getting these responses but I need stuff more along the lines of how the actual buttons and icons should be arranged, changing colors will be easy; but I'm trying to get ideas bout the button arrangement. Also thanks for the posts you guys
  22. If anybody could make up an entirely new interface (I mean that as far as rearranging the icons and buttons) what would you like to see. And note to those who mod, don't say this is impossible, I found a way to do it.
  23. I read the first few posts and I'm still wondering, is anybody going to make this? If not, I think I could do it pretty easily. If nobody is modding this would somebody please give me a brief overview of what is desired?
  24. I'm not sure what your problem is but if you are familiar with modding you could do it manually. For example: One of the final steps with Dantooine such as the conversation about searching for the Star Maps with the Council just attach a script to the end of the dialog which would be easy. I know there's a tuturoial on Lucasforums for this but if I can locate it before you I'll give you the script itself. Here is the link you need if you want to do this manually: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=127001
  25. Cleaning the disk didn't work but I believe I found the problem. I tried to copy the CD files over to my hard drive but the process frooze just as the installation. I am now convinced that a particular file is corrupte somehow. If somebody would be kind enough to post or email the below file to me, I would be very much obliged. KOTOR 2 - The Sith Lords Disk 1 Name: data2 Type: Cabinet File Size: 598,864 KB
