  1. I won't judge too quickly... Can you explain what C8-42 is? I see that you said it's a comic and novel adaptation... is it also a game?
  2. I've only played through KOTOR once, and I chose the male version of Revan. I became addicted to the romantic storyline that develops between Revan and Bastila. What happens if you choose a female Revan? Is there a romantic storyline with a male character? I've always wondered.
  3. I chose Korriban because of it's history - where the Sith began, etc. I knew that part of the storyline before starting KOTOR from some reading I had done, so I was really looking forward to going there. I also really enjoyed the tombs - I'm a sucker for Sith & Jedi history/legacy.
  4. Top right corner - can't imagine using anyone else.
  5. I voted for Bendak because I actually never beat him. I was new to the game and tried several times before I gave up. I might have found it easier had I kept trying, but I never did. I did have a very hard time with Calo Nord as well. That took roughly 10 times before I finally ousted him. Malak took me 4 tries, and it was definitely hard, but I was much more skilled by that point. So to answer the question, Malak is the strongest, but not the toughest for me to beat. That was either Bendak or Calo Nord. Can someone remind me who Sherruk is? It's been a long time since I played and I can't seem to remember.
  6. I totally agree with this assessment, and the only thing I can think of to add is that Revan is a bada$$ name. It's easier for me to glorify a character whose name is as strong as his use of the force/jedi skills. I also think the mystery/aura surrounding his past leads to over-glorification of how strong he was as a Sith Lord. I haven't played KOTOR II/TSL yet, so my opinion is based solely on KOTOR I. Lastly, IMO, the story line of KOTOR I is as good (and probably better than) the movies, so it makes it really easy to identify and fully accept how powerful Revan can be. I also found this interesting about Revan's name (from wikipedia): The name "Revan" is possibly derived from the term revanchism,[1] which is used to describe a political manifestation of the will to reverse territorial losses, often by the way of war; a posture that Revan adopted against the Mandalorians.
  7. I decided to start my navigation through the forum here, and this is my first post. I played and completed KOTOR I back in August of last year, and was completely hooked from my first minute into the game until the last. I'm not an avid gamer, so this was a major time investment for me. I also am married with 2 little ones, work full time, and I'm getting my MBA full time as well, so it's difficult to find time to squeeze in for video games... but man this was well worth it. I believe the story line is as good as, if not better than, the movies. It really is awesome. And I informed my wife that she has some competition with Bastila. I'm about to start KOTOR II/TSL this weekend. I know there's been a long gap, but I finally will have some time to dedicate while I am out of town on a business trip. I hope to dedicate a good 40-50 hours to the game while I'm there, and potentially complete it during the trip. I am seriously so pumped!
