  1. I don't exactly know how to define 'cause.' I am frustrated that someone had taken my reputation and dragged it through the mud and I can't complain about it because she's a moderator. I react because a problem was ignored. I caused trouble, but wasn't the cause exactly.

I know... you don't like it, get out.

  2. Lesson #1: always agree with my side of the argument... (no, support what you think is right)

#2: If in a debate, always have a good source to include with your post.

#3: Use 'when did you stop beating your wife' questions. That often gives you the edge in those kind of issues, since the opposite side does the same thing.

#4: Focus on the strongest pieces of the argument first and don't try to push something that people don't seem to agree with. They will chew you out with something that they don't like

#5: People are often biased. Take these suggestions while keeping that in mind.

  3. Well if I can be of any help, I could tell about some of the people who you shouldn't argue with. I'm an example of one who take on very controversial subjects and don't take a side unless I have proof enough to make such a claim.

I find that when a moderator takes a side, they won't directly use their power to win, but influence others more to their side than someone without a high reputation. I would suggest not to really push serious subjects under unfavorable conditions.

  4. Yeah and I got banned for disagreeing with Jae Onasi. I would admit I had it coming, but so did someone else. As much as I want to think it doesn't really matter, I don't want someone to win an argument by insulting me for not using 'common sense' or what people don't want. I can stand losing an argument, but I hate people saying that they proved themselves right because of it.

Redhawke is like that, I think.

  5. Doing fairly well. I'm getting on the nerves of one of the moderators, but I'm still pressing on another irrelevant issue somewhere else. I guess I should've expected anyone would be blackballed for backing my views... and I really shouldn't feed the fire, stick a fork in the toaster, or whatever the term would be.

Summer's been going on for a while and I'm trying to keep busy.

  6. And I see that you're fairly new to this site. You already have more friends in two and a half months than I got in a year.

I really shouldn't be so provocative in an argument. It's odd how some people take such irrelevant questions (SF vs. DS comes to mind) and make a big deal out of them.

  7. Is there something you need, Mandalorian? Make it good for I have little patience.

    Seriously, what's up?

  8. Good to see you back as well.

I suppose that I got too worked up with a certain topic, but I was not going to let someone proclaim some falsehoods about a point I was trying to make. Well I now have gone through the whole 'sanction list' and have to be on my best behavior with the consequence of being exiled.

  9. Don't worry about the timeline unless it's very important that you want it right. I got my timeline all wrong with Telos and the age of the Exile's son, but I just sacrificed one date to keep the rest on track.

And I also find that you can completely ignore certain dates altogether by not mentioning ages or how long ago events happened exactly. That is just one solution that you can do to avoid the problem.

  10. I guess you just need to find a character or person from... anywhere and model him/her for your fiction. A good SW fiction for me is more focused on the plot than the SW elements. Although I liked the trilogy pretty well, I liked KOTOR more because of the characters and the story.

If you have a good story that doesn't fit SW, then don't worry about it and do whatever universe you want to write about.

  11. I was just throwing out an example. I really thought 'The False Peace' was a great story because it was mostly original characters with only one KOTOR return character going into the mix. The galaxy doesn't revolve around Revan or the Exile, so it would give you more freedom to shape your characters/story as you choose.

You also don't have to embark on another story if you're satisfied with what you're already working on.

  12. If the original trilogy... I would think that a story could be done with Luke Skywalker's new Jedi Order... a lot of potential for characters being non-Jedi if you want. Someone who works alongside a Jedi would be interesting to me.

Was that what you were hoping for with ideas?

  13. I don't exactly know what direction you would want to go with it. Is it KOTOR era? The trilogy?

If KOTOR... you could create your own original character, or take one you really like, but they don't have a story yet for. Mira actually was quite open for a good fic. It doesn't have to be with Revan or the Exile, either.

  14. On here, it's titled 'Destined to Live.'

On Deviant art, it's 'A life of sacrifice.'

I guess it's not exactly 'latest.'

  15. I think I started SiD for the same purpose. My latest story is something more like a realistic kind of story where everything is not perfect and I'm leaning to make it less maladramatic than your normal SW fiction.

That story of your has great potential and looking forward to it.

  16. Hate rules as well. People only want rules so they can break them.

Out of curiosity, what inspired you to start Hazel Eyes?

  17. I got banned. 32 days ago... I'm not at liberty to discuss it. It two people at fault, but when you're a moderator, you can do anything you want.

  18. Wow, I just got back in time to catch you on this site. Glad to see you here again.

  19. Hello there. Just wanted to welcome you to Lucasforums. If you have any questions, comments, or anything; I'll gladly answer to the best of my ability.

  20. Burnseyy!

Miss you on this site. Deviant art is decent, but I wouldn't mind seeing you back here every now and again. You still have ties here, y'know. Hope to see back here again.

  21. Kavar's is fine. Sorry about posting it w/out specifying exactly what it was and in the wrong location. Thanks.

  22. Do you know from where you got it? Sue them!

Well it's always better to avoid getting sick, injured, or anything that disrupts normal life. Other than that, anything interesting going on?

  23. Just read... the hospital? That's never good... for the wallet in America. Of course, if it's that bad, there's really no choice.

I hope that whatever is making you ill turns out to not be as severe as all that... healthy body = healthy mind.

  24. Cool. Are you gonna have a huge party and bring all your friends to trash the joint?

  25. So what's new in your life? Just same old same old?
