been pretty good, honestly. This is actually our second pregnancy, but she miscarried about 3 months in last time, and it's taken a while for her body to recover from it. She's 8 weeks along now, so we're hoping she'll be good next month. As such, it's been just a little stressful.
It was frickin awesome, though. We had an appointment yesterday, and our baby is 1.45cm long, and has a good steady heartbeat at 134bpm. :D:D:D:D:D I've been showing everyone and their brother's dog the pic today. And alot of them don't care, I know, but too bad for them. If they want to buy something from the snackbar(which I'm running right now) they have to see it.
I guess that's one advantage of being out of school....I just go to work and then go home...no homework, no studying...well yet. When I get ready to test for my next rank next year, I'll be studying...but that's a while off still.
Now, Burnseyy and I are going to take over the world....we have plenty of openings in our organization. Want a position? Perhaps in PR? Or are you more of a R&D person?

No, actually, as my primary advisor, if you question a course of action I have decided on, I will hold off on it until I have satisfactorially answered your question. After all, why would I have an advisor if I never listen to them?
And that's fine hun. You know I'm here.
So, have you tried the Lost in Blue series? If not, you should. There are 3 titles for the NDS, and 1 for the Wii. Pretty much, the story is this: You're on a boat, it sinks, and you get washed up on a deserted island. The first thing you do is find another person from the same boat on the same beach, of the opposite gender of you. Then, you need to survive and escape the island. In the first, you have to be the boy. In the second you get to choose gender. In the third, you choose your gender, and you find two more people(one boy and one girl) further in the island. On the Wii, you have to be the boy, but you get a pet monkey, and the girl has a pet dog. Very laid back games, making tools of survival(bows, firestarters, spears), hunting and gathering enough to keep your hunger and thirst meters full, etc. Very open ended, if you like those kinds of games. You don't need to even "finish" the games, but you don't see the endings if you don't.

That's why I've got the math and science nerds in the basement lab working on the superweapon. We can't take over the world without being Evil Overlords, and every Evil Overlord HAS to have a secret superweapon. *nods sagely*
And don't worry. I don't grow a goatee. In the old days it made one look diabolic. But now, it's more like a degenerate from Generation X.
I'll be the front man, and you'll be the Most Trusted Lieutenant(Lefttenant) and primary advisor. *nods* Just never ask me when I plot to destroy the hero, "My liege, he is but one man. What can one man do?" Because I will say "This." And shoot you.
I love the list of things every evil overlord needs to know and do/not do.
And, on a serious note. I'm not pushing, I need to stress that. But you know me pretty well, from the way you know yourself. If you just need to vent, I'm here.

Well, I've always been an empathic person, able to read emotions and the such. Alot like your ability to play up to a person's ego, only a couple steps deeper. I have a very trustworthy aura, and people can open up to me at suprising rates. It's one reason I took psychology, I was thinking of being a shrink. BUT...I get too attached, and I'd take my work home with me all the time....just would have been bad. Anyways, my empathy is very deep rooted, and sometimes I can actually feel a person's emotions emenating from them. As such, I have a very good knack of not just feeding a person what they want to hear, but have a talent for saying things, for good or bad, that really GET to a person. For example, if I wanted to get something, I can do more than just say what they want to hear to get my way. I actually know the best thing to say, and I mean it. By the same token, though, if someone has gotten me mad, I know the absolute worst things to say to them. I've lost it on a couple of old friends when they were REALLY stupid, and they had absolutely no clue I could be mean enough to say what I said...or mad enough to actually say it. And...it worked. It made them see how dumb they were being.
When I took psychology, I started to understand the thought process as well, how different personalities work, react, etc. So, take a talent for getting into people's heads, and throw on the learned knowlege of what makes the tick....and you get a person who can be very good at saying what people want to hear.
Of course, I'm never going into politics, because that's the one area where I refuse to just say what people want to hear....instead I'll just tell the truth. Seriously, though. I don't know if you ever pay attention to the US presidential elections, or the debates that run during the campaigns. A big question that always comes up is "plans for taxes". This would be my responce: "That's a very good question, however this is the wrong place to ask it. After all, I'm running for president, and I have absolutely no say in the financial bearing of the country. I can propose new taxes to Congress, but they are ultimately the ones who inact new taxation laws. Next question." People don't want to hear that in this country.

Better than yesterday, that's for sure. hehe.
Monday, I had off. One perk of being a government employee, any minor stupid government holiday I get off. We celebrate Columbus Day here....and if you know history, Columbus never stepped foot on the Americas. We're celebrating him finding the frickin bahamas. HA! But....yeah. Tuesday, I worked, went home. I had to get up early yesterday for an OB appointment with the wife. I woke up a little too early...I got 1 hour of sleep between waking up at 10AM Tuesday and 4AM Wednesday-night-to-Thursday0morning. I got 7 hours of sleep, so I'm doing pretty good right now.
I was too tired yesterday to be excited, but I'm showing off the ultrasound pic to everyone and their brother here at work. If I had a way to upload it, I would. *nods sagely*
Other than that, I'm just chilling out, doing my j o b. Bleh.
I'm going to will that you get to go to that party. *squinches eyes tight* EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEUNGH! There. Willed it to happen.

hehehe. I also forgot my gamecube games, and of course Psychonauts(for the PS2 for me). After all...my little avatar/icon/guy-thingy is a Cencor from that game.
Hmmmm....a good openning line might be along the lines of going up and apologizing, but you just HAD to tell her that *insert superficial obsession of hers* is SOOOOOOOO awesome. Hair, shoes, etc. Something you've noticed she really likes. But make sure said obsession is actually in good condition that day.

Heyya HOP. I know I haven't been on in a while, and I'm sure you're still waiting for my full-length DS Revan story, and I'm sorry I haven't even started it. I'm just here to 'splain why.
I'm gonna be a DADDY!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D *GLEEEEEEEEEE!!!*
*ahem* Sooo, yeah. I'm gonna need you to come in on Saturday...no..wait...I'm NOT going to channel Office Space. <.<
It'll be a little while longer before I get my story up...I'm taken with other games and lost my Star Wars kick. But when it's back, KotOR is going in, and I'm gonna do my whole story. It'll probally happen in a couple weeks to a month.
So, how've you been?

Oh, don't get me wrong! I love me my games too!
I've got an Atari 2600, a Commadore 64, an N64, a Gamecube, a Wii, a PS2, an old Gameboy Colour, Gameboy Advance, 3 Gameboy Advance SPs, Nintendo DS(lite), PSP(slim with Darth Vader on the battery cover), and a computer. XBox just doesn't impress me that much, and the only game that ever came out for it that I wanted, came out for the PC, and by the time it came out for the PC, the developer finally finished the game. Of course, I'm talking about Fable. Fable2 is going to do the same thing, eventually, and I'm the patient type......if I have to be.
I've got Final Fantasy Chronicles, Final Fantasy Anthology, Chrono Cross, Tekken 3, Jedi Power Battle, Star Wars Demolition, and Spec Ops for the PS1; Xenosaga 1-3, Rogue Galaxy, FFX, FFX-2, FFXII, FFVII Dirge of Cerberus, Shin Megumi Tensai: Raidou vs. the Soulless Army, Steambot Chronicles, The Legend of Kay, Fallout Brotherhood of Steel, Soul Calibur 2, Soul Calibur 3, Dragonball Z Budokai 3, Sly Cooper 3, Zone of Enders, Zone of Enders 2, Neopets Darkest Fairy, Kingdom Hearts, and Kingdom Heart 2 for the PS2; Wii Sports, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3 Corruption, Guitar Hero 3, Guitar Hero Aerosmith, Soul Calibur Legends, Super Mario Galaxy, Bully, and Lost in Blue Shipwrecked for the Wii. I forget all my titles for the N64, but I have both the Zelda games, and a couple others. For my PSP I've got Megaman Maverick Hunter X(a remake of Megaman X), Megaman Powered Up(a remake of the ORIGINAL Megaman), Neopets Petpet Adventures, Untold Legends, Star Wars Renegade Squadron, and Kingdom of Heaven. And for My Gameboy/Gameboy Advance/Nintendo DS....just WAY too many titles to remember.
And that's not touching the two binders of PC games I've got.
So, I know whatcha mean about loving our gameses.

I actually don't X-box. PS2, Wii, PC, yes...but no XBox. I really don't like Microsoft, but I don't have the time to learn Unix/Linux.
I can totally relate to the insomnia. It REALLY sucks when you need to be alert the next day. And you're not bipolar, or manic-depressive. Bipolar is a chemical imbalance in the brain that takes a person's normal emotional limiters offline, allowing for very extreme ups and downs, and the transition between them can be incrediably rapid. Manic-Depressive is a person having the same symptoms, but due to an emotional cause. You, my dear, are a social introvert. Large crowds aren't your thing, you're better off on your own, and as such, in a social setting you tend to be quiet. But, being a social creature, every now and then you NEED contact, and the more the better, and you become this all-out energetic person.
If you really take like I did, your energetic bursts will become less "HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" as you get older, and the quiet-times will become shorter, to where you're somewhere in the middle most of the time.
And when I become the Evil Overlord, you will be my right-hand woman. Most Trusted Lieutenant. Sound fun? And don't worry, I won't go Revan on you if you say no. You'll just be one of my minions.

Nerds of the World UNITE! We'll have a party, separate into our little cliques...the D&D-ers will be in that corner with the big table, the computer nerds upstairs on the LAN, the Band Geeks in the garage "jamming out", the psychobabblers in the study with the cigars and brandy...we won't smoke any, since we all know the hazards to our health since we're nerds, but you can't have a psychologist's study with brandy without the cigars.....and the Math & Science nerds down in the lab, plotting to take over the world with the secret super-weapon I have them building....errr...I mean comparing math and sciencey-type notes. Yeah, that's what I mean. <.<
And I appreciate you not wanting to bring me down. The offer's still open indefinately though.
-
You had mentioned it that you were thinking about it. And hon, it's not a burden to just listen if you need to vent. I'm good on not giving too much advice, and what I do give is normally spot-on. The offer is open, if you ever just wanna talk.
Right now, I'm playing Bully, Lost in Blue 2, Lost in Blue shipwreck for the Wii, and Rune Factory(so that I can actually have that game beat before RF2 comes out). They're all fun games, if you haven't tried'm.

Life's been good. A bit busy, with my schedule changing week-to-week, and getting the home cleaned and baby-proof and the such. And I haven't even started working on the backyard yet. :D
My wife's only about 7-8 weeks along, but I've gotten to see my baby's heartbeat on the ultrasound.....it's just....wow and awesome and stuff. I get butterflies just thinking about it. :D I forget if I told you, but I also am finally able to finish Through the Fire and Flames on Medium.
Other than that, not too much is going on. How's school treating you?

Hmmm...if you've still got KotOR for the PC from your friend, it should come with the free version of reader.
Here's a link to Adobe's page, the free version of Acrobat Reader 9.

Here ya go.
http://www.aimostudio.com/index2.htm
Head to Doujinshi, the bottom of that page(it's framed flash style, so the link is always index2.html). It's the KotOR comic. Very good stuff.

Very true, very true.
In the end, I think the reason was simply an even ratio. Males get Handmaiden, Females get Disciple. That, and more than two party members vying for the exile's attention would be a little overbearing, considering this is just a game, and the romance is a minor subplot. I would like to see them expand on it more, sometimes, but that would be difficult, because different people have different ideas of what romance should be like. *shrugs*
I loved the conglamorite comic books on Aimo's site. Especially the Ahto City Beach comic in the first book. Zalbarr liked Carth. hehehe.
-
blah blah blah, we'll be in trouble, what's wroYEAAAAAAAAAAAH! *squilch*
hehehe. Classic.
And I agree, it is highly bigoted if that IS the reason. But, one thing you have to understand, especially here in the US, there are alot of people who have issues with human inter-racial relationships...they would riot if the movies had inter-species relationships. Whether or not Lucas himself, or his company as a whole, agree with them, or not, it's a sound business decision either way to avoid the self-rightous protestors.
And I don't know, a totally dark side exile with a thing for fluffy? A broken Hanharr could make them happy. And of course, if we include the furry one, we'd have to include the droids.....but it wouldn't in so much be romance as..toy...
-
Good question. Probally because Bao isn't human, and served under Exile in the War. I hate to say it, but Lucas' policies probally have a bit to do with it. No same-gender relationships, and aliens in the movies were like tertiary characters. Chewi was the only non-human organic in the party for the originals, and JarJar only existed in the first movie of the new ones, with one line in the second, and a cameo in the third. I could be off base here, but that's what I see.
I think there should be a mod that allows Bao, Mira, Hanharr, same-gender, polygamy, and polyandry relationship(for all fairness). THAT would be interesting.
[Force Persuade]: You two REALLY like each other.
Atton: "Oh, Di, I'm so sorry. come here and let me make it up to you"
FExile: This is better than the Republic Spice Channel. *munches on popcorn*
-
Well, I'm at work. When things calm down a little more tonight, I will try. I can probally write, proof, and post the Endar Spire while here...that isn't too hard to remember. I just wanted to throw it and Telos into one whole chapter.
Now, I think you're right, if all three girls are force-trained. Handmaiden is Soldier/Guardian, so she's got the combat skills, Mira is Scout/Sentinel, and Visas is pure Sentinel. Handmaiden would beat Visas down, no questions. Mira is a little better off than Visas, with Uncanny Dodge, and her wrist rockets. If she starts at a range, then she could get a couple free hits with those in before Handmaiden jumped the distance. That's a tough call...I think Mira's red-headed awesomeness would give her the edge, though.
-
*patpats* I'm so sorry hun.
Something to take your mind off of it....Bao-Dur.
Gah, I hope I get to at least START my story before this weekend. o.O
Work, sleep, and other unmentionables are keeping me from being able to play. I'm not complaining, because I'm having a good time in the end, but I'd like to be able to play. *sighs*
I'm not so sure about your analysis for the girl's fighting over MExile. IF you don't teach Mira or Handmaiden to be Jedi(I know, why wouldn't you...but still), then Visas would have an extreme advantage, due to lightsaber, and the Force. I mean, she starts out dark-side inclined. Handmaiden has her Echani training, but is easily distracted...and Mira has her rockets. I'd see it running something along the lines of Visas wanting to see MExile, Handmaiden being "I won't let you near him", the two fighting, then Mira pops in with her rockets to blast them both away, suprise attack. I think, personally, Mira would come out on top, but I've got a soft-spot in my heart for redheads, followed by Visas.
-
I think a F-Exile/Bao-Dur romance plot would have been great...especially since your "beloved Master" Kreia HATES aliens.
But then, who would M-Exile get? Kreia, HK, T3...Bao? I know the logical choice would be Mira, but if I'm Darth MExile, I wouldn't get her. *pouts*
But this of course arises the question...if I'm light M-Exile...who would win in a no-holds-barred cat fight between Mira, Visas, and Handmaiden? Hmmmm....
The male equivalent of that fight would be Bao-Dur in first, Atton in second, and Disciple in bloody-mess.
