  1. They have a free transfer going on now if your not on what they call a "destination" server. It started the 13th of this month i believe. I'm on flurry and its gotten a lot more active of late... The action on Rori has really picked up in Restuss. The entire server feels way more packed now. Kinda nice - i get a lot more invites to do instances... thats pretty cool. And my guild has grown a bit more with new higher lvl types.
  2. Hey any you guys having trouble connecting to swg right now? or the station site? Just curious - can't reach the swg website or swg and the station launcher isn't connecting.
  3. Hello potential new recruits! Are you looking for high adventure in the OuterRim Worlds? -SF- is looking for a few good sentients to fulfill our Imperial/Neutral Guild charter. Your Parental/Breeding unit(s) made you strong... We Will Make You Imperial Strong! What is -SF- about?? We are many things to many players. Our levels range from the very new to 90th level masters: Cities: Atlantea, Lok Atlantea is our home base. Before planting our City Hall our Planetary Survey group conducted extensive resource surveys of the area and this place is rich and ideal for Traders, Merchants & Manufacturers. Picturesque: We are located just north of the large Volcano there between a river and a verdant crater lake - which makes for a nice backdrop. The city is laid out in the classical urban style: Long Avenues, Iconic structures, Beautiful Gardens. Mayor: Ionwulf Darkstryder Farwatch, Tatooine Farwatch is our second city and was designed to help build a community for our younger members just getting started. Its convenient & safe to get to and once again picturesque: Jabba's Mighty Palace rests in the background and nearby one can clearly see Wayfar. Off to the north one can visit the popular sites of the swg lore. This city is open to guildies and non guildies alike. Mayor: Skarrklaw, Wookie bounty hunter -SF- Navy - we need you! Our Ace is currently organizing our space force and we actively participate in regular space pvp events with other allied guilds. I myself am in line for a promotion within the Imperial Navy. -SF- Assault Groups - we need you! Our goal is to build a cohesive platoon of level 85-90 combat capable, heroic/instance-ready troops. We are stratified according to level and capability - with several sub assault groups within SF. -SF- Hoth Assault Group - we need you! Doing hoth takes a great amount of coordination, tactics, flexibility, and the right mix of professions. Our goal is nothing less than *Flawless* consistent Hoth runs. If you want Hoth Armor join us! -SF- Anti-insurgent Assault forces - we need you! The battle goes on, night and day, spanning the galaxy. Our forces on flurry are hard pressed by the rebels, but our superior training and equipment always sees us through the fray. Join us and fight the good fight whether its the dirty backstreets of Mos Eisley or the burnt out battlefields of Rori. We are there standing our ground, making the kills. -SF- Trade Alliance & Planetary Survey Group You can't fight a war with just your ideas - that's why we have the finest Armorsmith on flurry - but we need more. Our navy and ground troops help secure the continued supply of resources for our Traders so that they have the finest available. We have some of the best crafting stations one can find in the galaxy - whether your breeding some kind of strange beast or making a Decimator - we can help. Join our Trade Group and help us win this war. -SF- LateNite Orchestra & Fly Girls Dance Troupe We all need some R&R from time to time... sometimes all of the time lol. Join our Orchestra as a musician or dancer and help our combat troops fight the fight. Roleplaying: Encouraged XD, but not required. If you love to rp within swg, we are the guild for you. As leader, I am myself a RP style gamer. ^^ Contact: Ionwulf Darkstryder, Leader of -SF- or any member of our guild. Send a mail as well so we do not miss you. We are well organized and yet, we are not top heavy authoritarian in our structure - everyone is an equal in this war, everyone is valuable and important whether you're level 5 or 85. Your thoughts, actions, desires are all equally worthy. Together we can bring peace to the galaxy. Your Parental/Breeding unit(s) made you strong... We Will Make You Imperial Strong! (or neutral strong as the case may be) I think you will find us to be a great bunch of people to game with! Sincerely and /Salute, Ionwulf Darkstryder -Sf- Leader Flurry Galaxy
  4. Server: Flurry In Game Name: Ionwulf Item for sale: Dooku Bust Auction/Instant Sale: Item price: 6 million credits Method of contact: Send me a mail! Hope i did that correctly there DarthMaul
  5. I just received word from a GM that the cantina has been located, i am on the Admin list. I will now recover everything that belongs to us. I gotta say - all you GM's ROCK!! And i aplogize for my foolishness in placing such expensive items under someone's control. THANK YOU GM's - I don't know how you guys found it. I really thought it was all gone forever. I gotta say - the in game support simple is the best.
  6. other lesser items include half a dozen small glass top round tables with a curved 'J' stem supporting them. A starship crafting station with a custom name designed to look like a TV monitor above the bar Items may bear the -SF- logo as virtually all of the furniture was made by members of our guild and another guild. There may also be a small tat house deed As well as several box containers The cantina was done by guildies who had the pitch and roll collection completed so items will be angled and in odd positions if still placed in the structure. ***Somewhere in the neighborhood of 500,00 credits were deposited into the treasury of the cantina as well to keep it open for a long time.
  7. Hello, I hate to post this type of topic but here goes: I run an Imperial/Neutral guild on Flurry called -SF-. We have a city on Lok called Atlantea A master ent by the name of Asme (human female master ent)/ Strykers Ghougid (90 mando) recently left our guild during a holiday lull in our playing habits. She removed the Tatooine style Cantina i purchased for her Contained within were many veteran/loot/crafted/factional items. Those have not been returned.... A ticket has been filed on this subject. The saddest part is that we as a guild in a community effort contributed many valuable items to decorate it. Holograms: Death Star Darth Vader Sand Crawler Imperial Royal Guard Jawa 3 Imperial rugs Many instruments A magic poster changing thing A couple of Hunting Trophies Factional items from an imperial recruiter Many many furniture items crafted and donated by our Trader all primarily done in a Blue color: aprox 1 dozen long blue benches... can't recall the style name offhand... Plus other items i cannot at this time recall Possible and known associates (and these may be just her alts): Greves Darkheart Darkheartt If you know anything regarding the whereabouts of this character, the cantina, or the stolen items, Please let me know!! This is a terrible thing to do to our guild and the good members we have. Contact me or a GM if possible There is a support ticket My characters Ionwulf or Skarrklaw or any member of -SF- can receive information regarding this pathetic and low act of stealing. The person removed themselves in late December 08. They will have a tat cantina in their posession as well as the above named items The persona may have changed their names and perhaps even moved to another server from Flurry. All imperial guilds as well as some key rebel players have been advised to be on the look out. If you take in a new member please be watchful. Items were not only donated by members of -SF- but also members from other Imperial guilds such as DD on flurry. Please help me bring this person to justice. What a terrible thing to do... Ionwulf Darkstryder. -SF- Leader & MAyor of Atlantea, Lok Skarrklaw, Mayor of farwatch, Tatooine Thank you and may the force be with you unless you're that thief.
  8. So we ran into an issue with SWG As a guild - we had a base on Rori that grew to over 45 residents. Well above the number to qualify for our own shuttleport. However, when our city ranked up we found we were not qualified for the Shuttleport because the GM's said there were too many - the server was capped out on shuttleports and that it didn't matter how many people lived in our Metropolis - we were never going to get one. Now, not having a shuttleport - depending on how far away the nearest one is - is death knell for any settlement at city of metropolis level. Indeed, our guild fell apart within days of this announcement - our guild merged with the largest imp guild on flurry and many moved to lok to use the new guild's city shuttle. ---------------------- What id like to know - is there *anyplace* I can move a city's worth of structures and people and get a shuttleport? We have the residents to qualify for it. Please advise - i need to find a home for whats left of my guild and i need to get a shuttleport. Thanks Wulf.
  9. I've been playing MMO's since the launch of the original Everquest. I've played many MMO's over the past 9 years since. I took a break for a few years from the MMO genre but recently returned... I've found the landscape has changed dramatically and the industry has morphed from a very cool boutique gathering of players across the globe into something approaching a Wal Mart atmosphere - yuck. 1. The success of WoW has created a vast number of players - and I gotta say i don't like the game and i don't care for most of your run'o'the mill WoW players. There seems to be an exodus of them because I run into their types all the time. I can't tell you what a buzz kill it is to deal with them in general as a player or guild leader in this game or the other MMO I really enjoy. 2. I love LotR as well - but not as much as Galaxies. Why? Because MMO's have gotten shockingly easy! I love LotR but its real easy to level up in. When you have that kinda game mechanic you have that kind of players - people power lvling in days. This is not the kinda atmosphere I find enjoyable - these are RPGs, not a power drive to show how awesome you are in a game that is super easy to level in. Thusly, even LotR has lost my interest. 3. I love SW Galaxies because it is challenging and well developed as far as the breadth of gaming material here - space missions, ground missions, card games, and people playing the game like it was the SW version of The Sims - u can get to lvl 90 without ever being in a single fight! I love it! And its challenging. A great game. I hear a lotta people crying on and on all over the net about the original version and how this one sucks... But i've always been one to just make my own decisions - to hell with opinions. I purchased this game on launch day - but never really played significantly until now. To be honest, i prefer the new game over the skill based one. I found the skill based version frustrating. The only downside I can think of - is that the servers are old and populated with a high ratio of lvl 90 characters. Its very difficult to get a group together, or just to find people near my level. Other than that - i've gone ahead and sold my 360 because SW galaxies offers so much in one package and satisifies my gaming needs - to rpg, to be in a cool sci-fi world, to run ground missions, pvp, shoot guns, build houses, play a card game. I mean this game covers a lotta ground for 1 subscription fee. Plus now that i can hook up my pc to my 55" HD tv - i mean that's pure heaven baby! I can't tell u how much money im gonna save in gaming now! Also i like the difficulty - and because of that difficulty, certain mmo players types just won't show in SW Galaxies, Hoorah! Im going more MMO hardcore as i mature - the only other hardcore mmo rpg out in my opinion is that ncsoft game. So.... I'll be playing SW Galaxies until they turn off the very last sever!
  10. Sorry forum master, i posted this in the wrong place!
  11. So i noticed there are huge swaths of urban terrain wherein many many homes and structures are marked as abandoned and set for demoliton. Yet... nothing ever changes. Which is kinda frustrating because there are abandoned homes in great spots that aren't being actively used. Also - it makes me feel like im living in a ghost town... Any game mechanic that will allow the actual demolition of that abandoned structure..? Or is that just a roleplaying convention to cover players who have left the game but that soe is hoping will return??
  12. Play on Flurry (as my user name indicates) but also play on farstar when flurry is down.
  13. The above mission i got from the Yavin IV space station - i finished the first part then they gave me another segment to finish... It is on this segment that I am lost - I cannot locate this mysterious ship, nor do i have any waypoints in my datapad, zone map, etc. I cannot take another space mission until this is finished. I cannot seem to delete this quest so i can continue with Imperial space missions. Please advise - im stalled out in space now. Thx, Ionwulf on Flurry
