  1. I don't think Microsoft ever really expected to sell it in the state they unveiled it. I think they wanted to make it as anti-consumer as possible to see what they could get away with, when it became apparent they weren't getting away with it, they were happy enough to tone it down a bit. But now they look like the heroes, because they listened to their consumer base. In actual fact, there's still plenty wrong with the console, but most people are oblivious because of the press surrounding how they made it so much better, so they've really played the game out very well, they'll sell just as well as the PS4 now, and they're getting away with a lot more.
  2. I think rather than trying to convince yourself of something you don't believe, your time would be better spent trying to come to terms with the inevitable, and to accept it and maintain a positive outlook despite it. I believe in living life to the fullest I can, so that when I die I can honestly say I'm happy with what I've achieved. I think once you've reached that point, there's no reason to continue anyway. I think not that people are scared of dying, but ending life prematurely, the only way to stop this is to live life to the greatest extent possible to you, until you can say that you're happy with your life, and ready to leave. Whether anyone actually gets to that point or not I don't know, but the determination to do so is what drives me.
  3. Having tried many other RPGs over the years, I always find myself going back to the KotORs. I don't know what it is about them, they're just great, timeless games. However, if you're friend is stupid and naive enough to believe that, he doesn't deserve to play such a great game. :/
  4. This is not an easy game to mod. The code is ten years old now, and half of it doesn't work properly anyway. As for .2da stuff, again it's not easy at all, I won't pretend to understand a lot of it, but I've been a member for a few months now (although admittedly I did some modding before that) and I am definitely improving. I haven't updated my WIP in ages not because it's dead, but because progress is slow. Practice makes perfect as they say, if you keep going you will get better. I agree the forum has become very bloated though, would it be possible mods to delete some of the older and less useful threads here?
  5. As Bokishi says, those games weren't made with a 10 year old, non iOS optimized, engine. I could be wrong, that's just my thoughts.
  6. It's quite possible that iPad graphics won't run shadows or grass. I know for a fact that intel integrated graphics are useless for grass, and I doubt that the iPad has better graphics (although I know very little about iPad internals.)
  7. I wouldn't try searching for an override folder, it doesn't always get created by default. I assume your new computer is 64 bit? If so, you should see two "Program Files" directories in the C drive, "C:\Program Files" and "C:\Program Files (x86)" check both of these for a LucasArts\SWKotOR folder.
  8. Went to see it yesterday. Suffice to say it did not disappoint.
  9. Hmm, does this use a modified Aurora engine, or something else? Was it released by BioWare? This is definitely an interesting development. You all have no idea how long I've been waiting for this, is it coming for android as well? EDIT: Can I put BOS:SR on this?
  10. Very enlightening. I will go through and listen to each track again and really hone down on each track. I agree I think that what entices me so much about Daft Punk is their very different style to anything I've listened to before. If you listen to Giorgio by Moroder at about 1:10 he talks about how he wanted to create an album spanning every era, and add new elements also. It's about time more artists experimented with music in this way, so many new releases are so similar in both style and message they become so monotonous it makes me sad for the future of music.
  11. So Random Access Memories came out today. It's the first time I've heard it since I refuse to install iTunes on my PC. Anyway, apart from the odd few songs I really like it. What are peoples thoughts? Especially people who have been long time fans, because as you'll know if you look above, I've only just really found out about them.
  12. I still need to go and see it, but from what I've heard it is definitely worth seeing. I agree people saying it's not true Star Trek is stupid. Going by the 2009 reboot at least, I thought that was brilliant, the new ones seem to show a different side of Star Trek that isn't shown in the originals, and while I'm not sure I'd like an entire series revolving around the reboot characters, the odd few films are definitely a fresh change from the originals.
  13. Eyes to the best of my knowledge are included within each head model, rather than separate. However you can have different objects within one file, which might be what you mean. If this is the case then you could design a head with a centered eye (or as many eyes as you might desire) very easily, provided you have some skill with a modelling program. As for your other question, it's been a while since I've played BOS:SR so I'm not entirely sure what capes you're talking about. If you're talking about Revan's cape then there is a fix somewhere for this, just do a search for 'revan's flowing cape' and it should come up. If you're talking about any other cape you're unlikely to find a fix. Animating the capes to move is very time consuming, so people tend not to bother. Hope I've helped.
