I'm convinced Return was planned to have more promotion by now but has been pushed back due to fan reaction. When the backlash happened the news suddenly dried up.

I remember them saying they will do a proper reveal long before the release. My two predictions are... 1.) a reveal in July with a release on Pirate day on the 19th September 2.) Grumpy Ron will transform into jolly Ron and release it on Christmas day as a Christmas present. Ho ho ho 🎅

Omg i could totally see that. The fact that they announced it on April fools rather than E3 etc makes me think they will do it in some funny, jokey, untraditional way 😆

Just looked up Gamescon and its not until nearly September... I'm starting to think they won't do it at event. So fingers crossed for July.

@Lagomorph01Haha I went to wedding but I did have my eyes on the clock... 8pm " 3 more hours and we will finally see Guybrush!" We were heading back to the hotel at 11.08pm and i was desperately trying to watch the stream on my mobile in the car. But due to low battery I had to wait. When i got back I was excited to see our long wait rewarded. I couldn't wait to see all of your excited reactions. But... seems like we are all still stuck in the waiting room... 😐 So when is the next big event it could get announced at?

That was the perfect place to promote it. I'm... so devastated. I know its just a game... but I was so excited and certain it would be there 😫 I'm worried we are just going to be waiting until near end of the year for news...

I'm going to sound like an old man.. I still don't like the Telltale Sam and Max voices. Even though I adore these games, the loss of the Hit of the Road voices still bugs me to this day. I'd give anything to get those old voices back. You always hear about the Bosco redub but I think they should have done more and redubbed Sam and Max. Lets be honest, I'm pretty sure if Telltale could have got the original voices they would of. But they were a very small new company and it would cost too much. P.s mad respect to the Telltale voice actors. This is just personal preference. 😊

I juat rewatched the Broken Age documentary. On the final episode Tim makes a comment that it will interesting to see what the general opinion on Broken Age will be in 5 years after we forget about the Kickstarter funding stuff and just judge it as game. So I was curious what all of your opinions are 7 years later. Did you love the game? Do you still have issues with it? I replayed the game in lockdown exactly 5 years after the release. Overall, I still find it hard not to think of the game as two halves and compare. I still feel the first half is wonderful and I think they did a great job overall. The second half is where I had some issues (no new locations, puzzles weren't as fun, some story issues) So although my opinion hasn't changed much I'm still grateful to team Red for all their hardwork. What are your current thoughts?

Wow yeah i fully agree with this I was really tempted to add the Day of the Tentacle verbs menu to this but ran out of time.

But Day of the Tentacle has some fantastic design solutions for that, and they create a lot of variety and a sense of rhythm and flow as you move from one screen to another. I knew it!!! This background screamed of DOTT vibes.

I found this interesting. It makes sense Ron would need to replay MI1, MI2, MI3 since they need to handle the MI2 cliffhanger. However, since Ron didn't play Escape or Tales it looks like they won't be important or referenced. Somebody on the team must have replayed Escape and Tales though if they want to avoid contradicting the canon.

Thank you so much, I'm so interested to see how Rex will interpret Guybrush in this game. His art style is pretty unpredictable. It's not like Matt Groening where the eyes, nose and mouth often look the same. I think its a safe bet that Guybrush will have dots for eyes based on the characters we've seen. I've heard others talking about Guybrush being an old man. I don't mind this idea but only if they don't alter his personality into a cranky old man.

I posted this sketch before but thought I'd share it here too. I tried to predict what Guybrush would look like based on Rex's previous art. I'm probably way off, but fun to guess. 😁
