  1. I decided the frags in my other videos weren't l33t enough so I made one more frag highlight movie. It's fairly short but has lots of nice action. Check it out.
  2. Well, JA does have some drawbacks vs. JO, but the addition of wallclimbing adds a lot to CTF, and strafe jumping with Speed on feels smoother (to me, anyway). Detritic, you did make some great maps, not the least of which was Can Yun-O Ace Is?
  3. Thanks! Yep, that was me on the final flag run. On that scene with two kills of stubert, funnily enough, redstar thought I had put the same shot in the movie twice in a row and asked me about it and I had to explain what happened.

  7. If this is for all-weapons games the ability to use protect and absorb at the same time would be way overpowered.
  8. My clan's server is an FFA all-weapon server with no silly rules about "laming" or anything like that. It's usually empty (which is kind of sad, because the JK2 FFA server was the best one out there and was typically near full capacity for several hours each evening), but sometimes there are some good games going there.   9. Yes, read the thread that griff linked to. Also note that in JKA v1.01, you can now press keys during demo playback without stopping the demo (finally!) so you can bind keys with commands like "timescale 200" (to fast forward), "timescale 1" (to go back to normal speed), "cl_avidemo 20" (start taking screenshots), etc.
  10. JO is easily superior, mainly due to the annoying lack of hitboxes and the retarded disruptor nerfing in JA MP. JO also has better FFA/TDM maps (ffa_yavin, ffa_bespin) than anything in JA. JA is still pretty good for CTF, at least. For SP, I haven't finished JA yet--it's fun, but there's no sense of urgency to keep playing because the story is so weak. JO didn't have a great story, but it did keep my interest a lot better because Kyle Katarn is a great character.

  12. Hey, any chance this awesome map will be converted and released for JA? I just tried playing it in JA and it seems to work fine except that the sky is completely messed up. I don't think a whole lot of people actually got to play this map for JK2 and with a re-release for JA I bet it would gain a wider audience. It's really a fantastic map.

Actually the sniper nerfing isn't the only change to guns... the DEMP now briefly disables people's weapons when you hit them so it's in fact more useful now... the trip mine secondary mode is now a proximity mine instead of a timed explosive... the lack of a hitbox means it's harder to hit people with any gun, much harder with some (like the pistol) - so you could argue that guns in general have been nerfed to a certain extent. There might be a few other minor changes, but I guess none of this really affects your basic point very much.
  15. The JA taunts suck compared to the JO taunts anyway. In JO the characters wave their hand in a cool taunting manner and say something amusing like, for my Chiss model, "Out of sight, out of mind, says I." In JA I taunted and found that my Chiss became stuck in place, said "Take that!" in a voice sounding nothing like the character, and did some stupid saber twirling. Why would anyone want to do that?
