  1. Hey guys, just thought I'd pop my head in to wish you luck with the new website. I'll try to visit the forums on a regular basis and get posting again. I have my Force Awakens day one tickets and I'm hyped for the new film. Exciting times ahead! I have missed you nutcases.
  2. Heard this and thought of you. ;)

  3. Hey guys. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. How you all doing? Movie: None. Lots of disappointments. TV Series: Dexter. Watched every season on Netflix and loved it. Album: Rudimental - Home. Lots of great music this year, but this is the stand out album for me. Anime: Shingeki No Kyojin (Attack on Titan). Production IG continue to make great series. Watch it free - http://www.crunchyroll.co.uk/attack-on-titan Book: Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. Please read this book if you haven't already. It is a geeky gamers dream come true. Highly recommended. (Cheating a bit I know as it came out last year) http://readyplayerone.com Game: Animal Crossing New Leaf. I bought this and a 3DS XL for my daughter for her birthday back in August, because they have played every AC game so far. They got me to try it out one day and I have played it every single day since.
  4. Elder Scrolls Online. It will probably be the only game I will play for a few years, but it will depend on my impressions this beta weekend.
  5. Might not even bother getting any of the new consoles, and this is the first time I've ever said that considering I've had pretty much every console since the Atari. Steam and The Humble Bundle seem more than adequate these days, but if I do it will be a PS4. I've only just realised how much I've been missing out on not being subscribed to Playstation Plus all this time, as I didn't realise it gave you so many games each month. Feel like a bit of a pratt tbh.
  6. Yeah, I'm feeling like I need to play Citadel too, been reading some really great things about it. Cheesy but funny and a nice ending to the series. I need to play Omega too while I'm at it.
  7. No, not at all. QTE's are few and far between, and when they are used they feel well placed.
  8. I finished Tomb Raider to 100% yesterday, and as a long time fan who has played every single Tomb Raider game, does this game satisfy my "tomb raiding" needs? No. Is it a great game? Yes. The environment is the star in this game. The island is very well put together and extremely beautiful. Ship and plane wrecks, storms, howling winds, makeshift towns made from junk, ancient temples and atmosphere are abound. Getting around is fun, with Lara's athletic ability's coming into full force, jumping and climbing and chucking herself all over the place. Lara herself moves very naturally and feels 'right'. They did a great job on the mocap. Combat set pieces are satisfying, and the AI has definately improved. They throw grenades and shoot with great accuracy, making it a good challenge and you definately feel bad ass after a long shoot out. The addition of the bow is very welcome, and using it to take out enemies stealthily is great fun. The RPG elements of gaining xp and ugrading your weapons keep the progression at a good steady pace, so you really feel like you are learning all your skills along the way. The story is good and fits the environment, but you don't really feel any connection to your fellow stranded shipmates other than reading their journals that you find lying around. It had a good ending, The tombs in this game are small physics based affairs that take 5 minutes to complete and are extremely easy. Gone are the huge tombs that take an hour to figure out how to open one door that we know and love, and instead we get a few pathetic excuses for tombs that very much dissapoint. This game is more about exploring caves, and feeling claustrophobic and that sense of the unkown rather than actual treasure hunting, but I guess as this is more of a survival game and the fact that Lara is just starting out and hasn't hit her stride, it can be somewhat forgiven in the context of a reboot. Hopefully in the next game they will have bigger, harder, longer tombs. I think Tomb Raider is a fantastic game, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and fans of Lara will love how well they have portrayed her progression into badassery. It is well worth your time and highly recommended.
  9. Are you selling all of your Star Wars Christmas tree decorations?
  10. So the reviews are coming in thick and fast, and they seem to be averaging around 9/10 across the board. So glad it's getting great reviews and I can't wait for my CE to pop through the door in the next couple of days. This is easily the best review of it so far... (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.)
  11. Haven't really played it much apart from the beta. Was going to try and get into it but I've been sidetracked by other things. From what I have played (only about 5 hours total) it seems like an enjoyable enough standard fare mmo. You would be better asking Lynk or Mimartin as they play it alot. :)

  12. Aww, you know I lubs ya Dath. *kicks you in the bollocks*
  13. Only Groovy. I haven't heard from anyone else in years. :/
  14. Oh I dunno, he did such a fantastic job on Star Trek that to me he has proven his worth in rebooting a franchise. I'm very happy it's J.J. Abrams and not someone like Michael Bay or Christopher Nolan. Can you imagine? The horrror.
  15. Hey Druid, really good to hear from you. I'm still around and pop by the forums every now and again. I have such great memories of Hermes Place, and I remember having some really amazing duals with you in particular. It was such a huge part of my life for two years and I do miss those days. I still game all the time, if you want to keep in touch friend me on XBL or Steam (links in my sig).
  16. Movie As a huge Marvel fan, this film was a dream come true for me. Joss Whedon absolutely nailed it. Game Cheating I know as it came out in Nov 2011, but I only got it a few months ago and I've spent over 250 hours playing this game and loving every minute of it. Album Absolutely nothing that came out this year grabbed me. Can I cheat again and put Adele - 21? That's what I've listened to most. TV Really got into The Big Bang Theory this year. A bit late to the party, but better late than never. Comic Comic book fans must read.
  17. The only games I'm really looking forward to are Tomb Raider and The Cave. Gonna be a slow year for me I think. :/
  18. Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere in this thread yet, so I just thought I'd give a heads up that the Mass Effect Anime is out on DVD/Blu-Ray now. http://masseffectparagonlost.com/
  19. Thanks my friend. I've decided to wait until it goes on sale. I'm the same as you, I've got all the other story DLC's as its my favourite series, and having a complete package has always been important to me including all the books and comics too. I need to finish my Insanity playthrough at some point anyway, but I'm in no hurry. :)

  20. Anyone played Omega? I really loved the Mass Effect Invasion comics, and would love to continue that on and play the DLC, but I'm wondering if it's worth the 1200MS.
  21. That was awesome. Thanks for sharing. :D

  22. I absolutely loved DAO, wasn't keen on DA2 but I'll still buy and am looking forward to DA3. I certainly hope they are taking all the criticism about 2 seriously and are making it more like Origins like they say they are.
