  1. 24 levels!? That's a ton of work for non-professionals. Do you really need that many?
  2. It doesn't look promising. It only takes a few minutes to post some info. The last update was a long time ago...
  3. I've never heard of this happening before in all the years it's been out. After the cutscene, the game should've loaded the second map. Do you have mods in your base folder? Sometimes mods can mess up other mods so if you have some remove them and try again from a previous save point. Also, if you have Jedi Academy you should play the version for that game instead because it's more refined, better visuals, added videos and some minor bugs worked out. http://mercenary.bravehost.com/dash2.html
  4. After you kill the Imperial Commander, the Gran and the 2 Rodians the doors should unlock and open. You should see another Imperial standing in the hallway. He should say something like "No, don't shoot"! Approach him and it should trigger the next cutscene. If that sequence didn't happen I don't know what's up. Are you using cheats? Can you restart from a previous save?

  6. You want the message to be displayed but not in a cutscene, right? Use a target_print entity. I don't understand why you're using a trigger_multiple though because it'll repeat the message over and over. Also, this isn't the right forum to ask modding questions. The forum here is dead so I can't recommend it either but you should go over to map-craft because that's where you'll find the most knowledgeable and active mappers. http://www.map-craft.com/index.php
  7. I saw that movie 2 weeks ago and I loved it. The 2nd one sucked a$$. Just a bunch of prison fights.
  8. I think it helps if you're really drunk and you have rivals nearby that you really hate. I think that combination makes it more fun. I played a lot of soccer/football growing up but I'm not really into watching it. I admit I'm fascinated by football hooliganism but not really the actual games. Except for Mexico, soccer/football isn't a big deal in North America but I do have a mild interest in world tournaments.
  9. Yeah, it would really surprise me if they made another Jedi Knight game at this time. It seems like The Force Unleashed is what they're focused on in terms of Star Wars actions games. The first TFU, for some reason, sold so well that they'd be crazy not to follow it up with a sequel.
  10. It looks like it says Jedi Knight III on that piece of paper. To clear things up, Jedi Academy is not Jedi Knight III - it's Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. Until LucasArts announces it I won't hold my breath.

I don't have time to try it right now but maybe someone else can test it and give us some feedback.
  12. Holy **** is that for real!? I wish I had that feature a couple of years ago because I could have some of my life back.
  13. Check the noweapon spawnflag on the info_player_start entity. The game won't force a lightsaber on the player and you can assign the weapons you want the player to have with a script.
  14. You'll have a much better chance at finding some mappers if you post a thread on filefront forums. I think those who are still active hang out there or at least visit from time to time.

  16. Finding secret areas is a game within the game. It's also a tradition in this series.
  17. I'm glad you enjoyed it. The NPC bug in the original was a good thing after all because it was worth going back and improving the mod and enhancing the whole experience. Yeah I made the jump easier. I figured since people have their own way of jumping that has been reinforced with countless hours of gameplay it would be difficult for many to change. The only way to continue the story would be to make a prequel perhaps showing what happened on Bespin. I don't kill off important SW characters so with that in mind you can figure out the end. Now to clarify the title of the mod, which some people found confusing, it describes the day before the main character seeks to redeem himself for his failure to defeat Kyle Katarn which led to the eventual death of Desann and his plan to rule the galaxy. I wanted to simply call it "Redemption" but that was already in use in the EU. Having said all that, I won't say never but I'm most likely done modding for JK2 or JA.

  21. I've submitted the final version to jk3files today. I don't know how long it'll take to be posted but keep your eyes open. For those who have played the original version I think this new one is worth a replay because it's more refined and it's a much better experience overall.
  22. Thanks for your support katanamaru I've made a last minute enhancement that has forced me to rework a few things. It'll be another 2 weeks or so before it's all done and ready to go.
  23. It's too bad LucasArts thought that there weren't enough PC gamers with good enough computers to run the game. That doesn't seem to stop other companies. I've never played role playing games before and I don't know if I could get into them. So what's left? Another Jedi Knight game would be nice.
  24. Testing will start this week. I don't expect it to take too long so the project could be released in a couple of weeks or so. Here's what you can expect: VERSION 1.1 FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS - fixed an issue with certain NPCs not spawning on the easy skill level setting, preventing the mod from being completed - fixed a few minor cutscene skip issues - improved opening videos and cutscene - improved map textures and skyboxes - new voice-overs for main character - many small tweaks and refinements
  25. That's reality. Game levels are so much work and require a lot of dedication and perseverance. You have to make a lot of personal sacrifices to get it done. If you've never made a single player level with all the bells and whistles you might not understand.
