  1. I loved the original x-wing and tie fighter; I was wondering if anyone is ever going to do a Mac port of Alliance (or a sequel, for that matter).

  3. Yeah i can agree with that, first time topic has gotten so far without someone totally flaming Macs.... I think Mac has the hardware potential to be a good gaming platform but .....well, we've been through this before......
  4. Yeah they are porting to Ps2, seems a little strange, doesn't it? I checked and Apple has about 4% of the computer market. Most of those users probably use it for video editing and the like (also, have you ever noticed how many times in commercials/ movies they are always using a Mac, wierd, huh?) I don't know how many people actually buy Mac games. But I know I do.
  5. I'm not going to pretend to have any real knowledge of how much effort it would take. However, they're porting to Playstation2 and I've heard that is a hard platform to write for. Another thing is, though, since there aren't that many high-profile games for Mac (and almost no MMORPGs) it seems like Galaxies might have a monopoly on the genre, (at least).
  6. http://www.petitiononline.com/swg4mac/petition.html I stumbled upon this site recently and realized that I was not alone in wanting this game for Mac. At the time of this writing, 500 people had signed the petition. This game needs to be ported to the Mac, I know it may not be as financially practicle for Lucasarts but they ported Jedi Outcast! Blizzard makes multiplatform games and they sure havn't gone bankrupt. I know I would buy the game if there was a Mac version. Anyway, If anyone knows the proper channels to contact Aspyr or Macplay or someone else for a port (and Lucasarts of course) Mac gamers would really appreciate it.
  7. I was in Cancun for a week, woohoo! Also, to statrt more debate, may i remind you that windows was essentially a bootleg version of an early Mac OS-Apple sued and lost the lawsuit (and about 96% of the computer market)
  8. I took your advice and picked up a 5-button mouse at CompUsa for like 20 bucks. It did say only 3 button support for Mac OS on the box but when I tried it all buttons worked. I think this is due to recent updates to 10.2. Thanks for your help everybody. (now to relearn my dueling skills......)
  9. No im not in a clan im just interested. And maybe I did put it on the wrong forumn but it has to do with servers, kinda.
  10. I would like to try to put together some hydroball games. The Clanhosted server at Ip address 195.23.133.158.28071 hostes it daily. Just respond and we'l figure out a time.
  11. Actually, what I meant was that the high end Mac processers are usually slower than the high end P4s. However, I have heard the way that Macs make up for this explained in this way: the "pipeline" that the data has to travel through when leaving the processer after it gets, um, processed, is much shorter than the one on PCs if that makes any sense. And Steve ive got a 933 mghz with 512 mb. ram:D
  12. If you are still interested in the game, me and my bro are on the clanhosted server right now.
  13. First off im not going to hug anybody, second, although it is a pain to find stuff for the Mac and their processers are usually slower, it is ALOT more stable on average than a PC and other stuff in the machine makes up for the processer disadvantage (Plus they look cool ,lol)
  14. I played the Secret Base Demo and it was really good. The "stormtrooper Laser Rifle" has alot more stopping power than in JK2. Also, I have a Mac and the game worked fine if that helps. Keep up the good work.
