  1. It seems the Zone won't totally "remove" JK. You will still be able to access the game after logging into the zone here (I found out about this on massassi.net).
  2. Well, there's still the enjoyable single player mode to play on. As long as a game has a single player mode, it doesn't become truly extinct.
  3. Ahhhhhh, I love that box art. The tension and intensity it conveys is terrific. *right clicks image and selects "Set as Background"* Oh yeah...
  4. Well, I haven't seen it on store shelves in years, but you can still purchase it from Amazon.
  5. Well, there's no stopping you from playing the SP mode. I know it's not as challenging, but it's still fun to play. I've hardly played any JK MP. I tried Rbots, but they kept on running into corners. I suppose if you're desperate to extend the game's replay value, you can check out the custom mods and SP levels on massassi.net that Rhett posted the link for.
  6. People at the massassi.net forums have been talking quite a bit about a truly phenomenal feat. David "RandomEngy" Rickard has recently set a new record for a Jedi Knight "Speedrun," where you try to beat the game as fast as humanly possible. His time... 34 minutes and 3 seconds!!! Crazy! I can't even beat the first three levels in twenty minutes! You can find the info (and a movie!) of the speedrun here.
  7. Contrary to what the title says, I would suggest that the topic be moved to the Jedi Knight forum, as this just isn't pertinent to Jedi Academy. Besides, this topic seems like a good one to get people posting there again.
  8. If you have a problem with the moderaters and you wish to bring it to their attention, may I suggest that you PM them rather than post it on a message board for all to see. Technically, what you did does warrant a temp ban. Accidental or not, your DF thread and this JK thread adds up to two posts. Just remember that old adage: time heals all wounds. It was merely a mistake, something we all do from time to time. Just wait patiently until the ban is lifted. We do want to hear what other people have to say, (including you! ) provided it falls within the rules.
  9. http://www.lucasarts.com/companystore/jediknight/ If that option doesn't work, try looking for it in an electronic gaming store. That was where I found my copy, a full five years after JK was first released.
  10. From the sources I've heard, both MotS and JO assume that Kyle took the Light side ending in JK. That makes me believe that MotS takes up where the Light side version of JK left off. It also provides some background info to why Kyle abandons his Force connections at the beginning of JO, since
  11. This is pretty spoiler-laden, so if you don't mind finding out much of the Jedi Knight story without playing the games, feel free to take a look. *EDIT* Oops, looks like I took too long writing it up. Well, between the two of us you know quite a bit now!
  12. Just buy it, it hardly costs anything nowadays. I got it back in 2002 for ten bucks. It's probably even lower now.
  13. Yeah, I found Max on Baron's Hed. Took some time for me to figure the secret out and time it right, but I got it to work. That bunny's murder with a blaster! Hmmmm, I didn't know he made a second cameo in the Fuel Depot level. Sounds like I'll have to replay the SP game.
  14. http://www.massassi.net/levels/files/1774.shtml Is this the one? There's also a Beta 3 version that looks a bit different: http://www.massassi.net/levels/files/1284.shtml
  15. I got JK summer of 2002 for ten bucks. It's been worth every cent, as it has given me far more than ten buck's worth of entertainment. I would say bite the bullet and buy it. Or maybe ask for it as a Christmas gift.
