  1. Heres that Graham Norton dream I mentioned on the last comment: (Foul language will be anagramed [AND TYPED UP LIKE THIS] and if you cant figure out what they mean then send me a private message please) Last year during Christmas on the night before I bought my copy of the LucasArts Entertainment Pack™ (about two days after Xmas Day) I was staying down at my Papa's house watching Graham Norton talking to Shannen Doherty from Mallrats and Beverly Hills 90210 (Was anybody actually sad enough to watch that?) and it entered the conversation that she owned a couple of horses. She goes on to say how she and her dad went and took one of them to the vet and she talked about how in front of her dad the horse had a [i FEEL SLURPY CENT] and was thumping it against his stomach. She asked the vet what the horse was doing and he said it was [sAM TURBIN GAT]. Thats all you need to know of the show, that night I was dreaming of the same episode exept after Shannens talk of the horse Graham went on to Mixnmojo.com and started reading a news post about the horse (wierd) and one comment went like this: "But why was the horse doing it in the first place?" And the reply was: "Oh well obviously because it was covered in SCUMM™!" And then Graham faces the camera and goes "Hmmm, THAT sounded a bit suspicious." And.. thats it for the "Horse covered in SCUMM™" dream. Pretty wierd eh.

  3. I mean what I say. "What a pointless thread!"
  4. Tell me all your wierdest dreams people. They can be about anything. I once had a dream about Graham Norton visiting Mixnmojo.com but I'll tell you later as I dont have time right now.
  5. I like the scene in MI3 where LeChuck is telling Guybrush his plans, the music in it along with a couple of monkey sounds makes it quite sinister. I love it. I also love the music in Grim Fandango when Glottis is driving the Bone Wagon in the Petrified Forest. Also the music in the NES version of Maniac Mansion during the scenes with Dr Fred is cool. Plus the Main theme for MI3. It's Proper Bo I tell thee}:¬) I'd also tell you some music from other adventures but there not from LEC adventures
  6. Heres something strange. In "A Link to the Past" when you are wandering around the castle a bit of the music ALMOST sounds like the LeChuck theme. Only a bit slower and with less notes. Its something that I seem to have noticed.
  7. I have actually thought up a better idea that could be used for a MI fangame. A prequel... starring LeChuck. If you think about it, it could actually work. Remember the scene in MI3 where LeChuck is telling Guybrush about what happened before the events of MI1? About how he discovers Big Whoop and how he kills Marleys crew, etc etc? Well we could have a game based on that story of his and we could visit a lo-res Blood Island etc, and the scene where he trades the Goodsoup diamond to King Andre. It'll be amazing. Btw If anyone does make this in the future be sure to give me credit or else I'll kill you.
  8. I noticed the similarities between the two quite a while ago. Anyone who doesnt notice the similarities are StuPiD.
  9. Does anyone know the email address of Niel Cicierega? I've got something interesting I'd like to show him.
  10. Dan Petitt was the Lead tester on Curse of Monkey Island™ and he also tested a couple of games before that. The guys at Mixnmojo.com seem to have some unexplainable obsession with him (Like in the polls for example, his name always appears on one of the options to vote. Hell they even had a poll deciding on how his last name was correctly spelt) and so obviously they are blaming him for Mixnmojos closure. I hope that answers your question.
  11. What really pisses me off about this is the fact that people are bad mouthing the graphics and whatnot. Take it from me it is a BAD idea to judge a game on graphics alone. About 6 years ago when I was 11 I saw Monkey Island 1 & 2 at a store and I didnt buy it. Why? Because the graphics "were'nt as good as Monkey Island 3"(I had the demo). A few months later I bought Flight of the Amazon Queen (An adventure game inspired by MI) and soon found out that Monkey Island was the main insiration behind it and I also realised my mistake. Since then I was on the look for Monkey Island. The second time I saw it was in the LucasArts Archives Volume 3 alonside The Dig and Full Throttle. I should have bought it but I had no money so that was another oppurtunity slipped away. The third time however I was lucky. The Monkey Island Bounty Pack. I had the money, I bought it and it was fun. It really ****s me when someone judges a game on graphics. I dont know what the problem is. The graphics are excellent by my count. And it looks like it will play well. So remember what I said about judging by graphics. DONT. I did and I regretted it. You also need to consider that, although it isnt an extreme hardcore adventure title, niether was Quest for Glory. It was an adventure game with RPG elements (You had a health bar, you had to fight and other stuff, whilst still retaining the puzzle solving and inventory like in all adventure games). So just because FT2 isnt full of the stuff old gamers desire doesnt mean its gonna suck. Oh and for the record, The Dig didnt suck ass.
  12. Back in the 80's Sierra's games actually had better animation than Maniac Mansion or Zak Mckracken
  13. Next you should try to make ScummVM compatible with Flight of the Amazon Queen
  14. If there was a Movie Based on The Secret of Monkey Island™ who do you think would be suitable to appear in the movie. I think Mel Brooks should play Fester Shinetop
  15. MI1 Otis: The cook brings me food, mostly lips and trimmings but sometimes he brings me this really odd rump roast. Guybrush: Whats so odd about the rump roast? Otis: Its the only one I've seen with a prehensile tail. MI2 Lechuck: I will then gather your bones alive and in great pain and make them into a chair. I will call it my screaming chair, every night I will sit in it and hear you scream.
