  1. Oh man, I can already sense a root-beer shotgun against a horde of zombie pirates!
  2. They've mentioned several times which artist was the definitive inspiration and they both said it was Maurice Noble, famous for designing the backgrounds for a lot of Chuck Jones shorts. I can't recommend this book enough: https://www.amazon.com/-/es/Tod-Polson/dp/1452102945 If you get soaked with Noble's body of work you can definitely see that they continue to pursue his style, even though the color rendering is different from the 2 previous games. I am very psyched to watch what they did, honestly I don't get all the hate that the art style got. We, as fans, should be rejoicing with joy that most of the original team is back (even though of course we all wanted Tim to be part of this). I get that not a lot of people loved the art of Broken Age but c'mon a lot of us waited so many years for this to actually exist so I will quote Stimpy: "Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!"
  3. Thanks for your insight, I totally get what you mean and I think it is exactly on point! For me, as a gamer and characters/plots lover, the story does matter in the sense that, it's one of the things that got me most immersed in the galaxy of the first three games. But absolutely, the humor this game offers is like a door that, when closed and opened again, can offer a different landscape and any thing is possible. If we get in meta-humor I suppose we can say that everything that happen in a fictional product is a product of imagination, but I guess I always chose not to believe that the whole plot/lore of MI could be all Guybrush's imagination because: Even though this can still be part of his private fictional world ๐Ÿ˜ซ๐Ÿ˜ž๐Ÿ˜ž
  4. I only hope Ron & Dave doesn't get into the whole metaverse bonanza to start merging characters/plot points from Curse or other entries It would be an easy solution with LeChuck's magic and all...
  5. I once had this very same idea, those memoirs are one of my favorite aspects of the lore of MI. Great job, I loved that your kid even left you a comment ๐Ÿ˜
  6. What beautiful news, I'm so happy they've got most of the original team back together!
  7. What about the content of the book? Hopefully someday they sell it separately
  8. I absolutely agree with you, today's tools are great and there is tons of coverage on "how-to"; I suppose I found myself fantasizing how awesome it would be if the original SCUMM creators made this new tool at making classic point&click games, i'm sure a LOT of indie developers would be super happy to buy this software from them. Just imagine how cool i'd be if they can finance their next adventure game with the profit made from this software, one can only dream
  9. The other day I've finished watching Double Fine's documentary on Broken Age and then went on reading Ron's blog on the making of Thimbleweed. When he talks about having to create his own engine from scratch for this game (and considering many point&click developers wannabes are constantly asking if Adventure Creator or Visionaire -just to put some examples- are best to create an adventure game), I just thought to myself how amazing would be to crowdfund a "Scumm creator" program, made by our beloved wizards that made these wonderful games... And yes, maybe if you're a programmer you'll go "but these games ain't that hard to code"; but damn, how awesome would it be to have these phenomenal and creative people make a software for us fans, to keep making "Scumm-like" games!
  10. Such great artist... Reminds me of Maurice Noble's work... Here's an awesome short clip from the Sam&Max days: https://youtu.be/1nSfN_Uwruo
  11. Thank you so much for those links, I'm from Buenos Aires and a friend of mine knows the people behind the argentine studio that made Dog Mendoรงa; I will definitely check Godot and Escoria out!!
  12. What do you think of the european software Visionaire? I'm thinking of giving it a go after trying Unity's plug-in Adventure Creator.
  13. I hope someone uploads a recorded version of this epicness ๐Ÿคค
