  1. Well since I see there is another David Lynch fan among you, and someone posted 'Eraserhead'. This is also another fine movie by Lynch based on a true story of a man with elaphantitis named John Merrick. Starring John Hurt and Anthony Hopkins. The Elephant Man (1980) Here is a poem by John Merrick: Tis true my form is something odd, But blaming me is blaming God; Could I create myself anew I would not fail in pleasing you. If I could reach from pole to pole Or grasp the ocean with a span, I would be measured by the soul; The mind's the standard of the man - John Merrick
  2. Yeah, Neil Young did the guitar work in 'Dead Man'. It also starred Crispin Glover, Lance Henriksen, Michael Wincott, Gabriel Byrne, Eugene Byrd, Billy Bob Thorton, Steve Buscemi, Iggy Pop, John Hurt, Robert Mitchum and many other fine actors actors and actresses. Ed Wood was also great, being a huge Lugosi, Depp, and Burton fan, I thought it was a superb flic. Bill Murray is great too, "I got to get into this dude's pelt and crawl around for a few days. Who's the gopher's ally. His friends. The harmless squirrel and the friendly rabbit." - Caddyshack (sorry, knida off topic, not a quote from Ed Wood, but I had to.) ___________________________________ Also an excellent black and white film, which hasprobrally already been posted. The Misfits (1961)
  3. _______________________________________________ In all honesty, I am glad. I really don't like hurting people. I am a pacifist. I have Seen too much suffering by others in my time. But I will not stand by and watch my loved ones get slaughtered when it comes to it, and will raise my sword. Do you remeber me posting this in your thread "I don't know anymore..."? "Just a suggestion out of honest concern: Don't think to hard or dwell on things, that will only makes things more unclear. Just relax and go with the flow, not everything must be explained or even have an explanation. Try to think of something simple that makes you happy and meditate on that when you get frusterated (like the sound of rain hitting the rooftop, works for me ; ) ). Remember every person is different, that's what makes us unique." ________________________ Well, whatever, I am a firm believer in Karma. Good luck in your endeavors, eniaC
  4. was I flaming? I am soooo sorry for stating my opinion. But I guesss only others emotions matter right? and not mine. I have what you would call a "retarded" relative (physically and mentally handicapped), but I won't flame you because I don't want do get banned. . But I suppose because he was born with a disease he had no control of that makes him less of a human being. I am sorry for your loss. In all honesty and seriousness. I am sorry if I have made feelings in you resurface that you wanted to try to get past. I know how that is, I honestly feel for you. _________________________________ I was not trying to flame, but by in forgetting the past, we are doomed to repeat are mistakes and lose the knowledge of how to prevent these things from happening again. Did any of you even read my post? Maybe you all would you prefer to go back to the dark ages? Sorry for stating my opinions, guess I am to naive to see the truth in the matter. I honestly don't care at this point if I am banned from this forum. I stated my opinions and was flamed for them, and then asked not to flame others for their opinions or I would be banned. I guess I should forget about the fact that my Grandpa served in the Navy on an aircraft carrier in WWII, it was his choice to put himself in the line of fire. Or the fact that my cousin is in the coastguard saving lives as we speak (or type), it was her choice to protect this country of ours from terrorist. Glad some people have the bravery to do it, I am just a useless Enviro. Scientist trying to protect this great planet of ours, and not just for the Americans, but for all of humanity. And for the future of our children. Peace, eniaC
  5. No, I was offended by what someone else said, and the fact they brought up something from the past that had no revelance to the thread at all. They were just showing disrespect for no reason. If they had felt that way they should not have posted in this thread to begin with, imho. Your post was not there when I began to type mine, Luke Sira Jedi. It would be nice to not have to think about what happened sure, but do you honestly expect America to forget about this when it has drastically changed are country. ie: -Are airports are in shambles _________ -people are being ridiculed for their beliefs _________ -scientists that were trying to find cures for the various diseases that plague the present are being forced to give up due to the new laws regulating the research on over 70 some bio-chemicals. Some scientist have given up. They don't want to face jail time for shipping a chemical wrong from one lab to the other, or mistakingly mis-label a petry dish in a freezer. You can be jailed for these things now. So tell me, where does are hope lie for the future when the scientist are affraid to experiment and by making a simple mistake they lose their career, the respect of their peers, and ultimately face inprisonment for trying to help mankind. Many labs have destoyed valuable research from over the years that would progress science because they can't afford(literally afford, not enough money) to keep up with extensive book keeping that it takes. ____________________ Many people are just plain out to naive to see how much 9-11 has affected are country and regressed are advancement and it pisses me off. There are still a few brave souls that will rise to the occasion, but the fact is, the process will be slowed now to find cures for biological warfare and its effects.
  6. nice picture:hattip: ______________________________________ I have a question for you acrylic. Did you lose loved ones in the 9-11 incident? Hopefully someone who did will see what you posted. You deserve a good flame, long time coming too. I have seen numerous arrogant posts by you, Mr almighty sig maker. I even believe I read one once were you where crying out for sympathy, guess all the people that posted should have just let it go though huh? Maybe you should have just left, instead of crying about it to see if you would be missed. here is the thread if anyone forgot: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=117636 Is this painful to read, I hope so. Now think of the pain that the families had to go through after their loved ones died. Your petty problems don't mean crap.
  7. ain't it great:guiness:cheers mate.
  8. hello, watch your back there some weirdos here.
  9. For the Johnny Depp fans, the finest actor of our time. This can be a difficult movie to track down. I could only find the VHS version for my collection, but a deffinate must see.
  10. Wrong, Nosferatu (starring Max Schreck, a German silent movie c1911) was loosely based on the novel by Bram Stoker (the creator of Dracula, a fiction based novel [c1896] that was inspired by Vlad the Impaler), but they could not get the rights to call it Dracula.(there is a movie based on the actors and producers called 'Shadow of the Vampire' starring William Defoe as Max Schreck) Dracula (1931) did get the rights to call it that, and was based closely to the book that Bram Stoker had written. It was in black and white and starred Bela Lugosi, one of the greatest black and white actors of all time along side with Boris Karlof.
  11. Not that often, it just rains here 9 months out of the year. Snows about 3 or 4 days out of the year with just a few inches(sometimes we get a good amount). But I can drive about and hour or two to find some. Mt. Rainer (WA state, US) is not that far from me, I just want it in my yard. It snowed here a little in mid Nov for about 3 hrs and the foothills got a decent amount.
  12. I appologize if I made you feel that way with my comments. I wasn't implying you were rascist, I am very sorry. I was pissed from another thread regarding disrespect towards women and when I saw the title of the thread and what some of the other people said I just lost it. I am not appologizing to the fascist ones though, and they know who they are.
  13. Tell me about it, there are hardly any g_forceregentime 200s' out there. I am so damn use to the high respawn settings.
  14. *edit* /snip oops. But that's great Prometheus you jumped on it so quick to offer this.
