There's a lot of music in the game, so I'm curious... if you had to pick one location, which one would have your favorite music?
(This poll is a part of a larger scientific study.)

Yes, I did just read that post and reply to it not long ago. 😆
And yes to relativity. I'd rather play Escape than many other video games, but I consistently rank it last among MI.
EMI is great, don't knock it.
Well, it's good.
Or, it could be worse.
Or, at least they tried.
In all seriousness, I do think EMI is perfectly decent and unfairly maligned. It takes some pretty hard swings that sometimes hit home, and other times miss by a wide margin. And I think the ones that fall flat are what some solely focus on.

Are we sure Apple Bob is supposed to be Bob? I assumed it’s just a different ghost pirate Bob.
I doubt they'd use the same voice actor (Rob Paulsen) for different Bobs.

Amidst the war between 0 ratings and 10 ratings, I am getting a sense that people have medium-high view of the game. I commonly see it ranked third or fourth (even among those who loved it) because fans have such a high regard for the first two or first three games. And among people who have complaints against it, I see it generally ranked fourth or fifth.
I've never seen it ranked last; I don't THINK I've seen it ranked first.
I'm not sure it's accurate to say people have a "medium-high" view of the game. Some could have a very high view of the game but marginally prefer (say) MI1 and MI2 because of nostalgia or whatever. It's all relative. (On the flipside, they might just like MI1 and MI2, and hate the rest of the series. But that seems unlikely.)

He hangs upside down. You're upside down when you're bobbing for apples. I don't think there's more to it than that, other than possibly being the opposite of Iron Rose on the hardness scale.

I know anything I've posted to YouTube gets flagged as copyrighted but OK to share. That does mean they -- presumably Devolver -- can take it down at a moment's notice, but that seems unlikely, at least for now. (Might change if they do an OST.)

Also whenever I finished interacting with a hotspot, all the hotspot would disappear until I moved Guybrush, so I'd often have to keep wiggling the left analog stick if I'm near multiple hotspots, but I think that's just a bug.
I chalked this down to a bug, too.

Eh, what's the worst they can say? No?

Yeah, the lack of save slots is a real... "real"... issue. Makes it particularly hard for us Mojo professionals who may need to jump back and forth through the game in the name of journalism.

Re: "recency bias." Anyone who plays that card clearly weren't here for the EMI release.
It's fine not liking the game, but claiming recency bias for the many people who did like it -- most coming from different angles and backgrounds -- doesn't sit well with me. That's all.

I love the end-credit music. Or at least I used to. Now I need to relearn to love again.- 2

So uhhh... wait, the old pirate leaders only show up in this first act if you turn writers cut on? Hope I didn't miss too much by having it turned off...
In my mind that's the biggest omission from the "regular" cut -- they should've kept it in.
But hey, now you have an(other) excuse to play the writers' cut!

The Switch controls were fantastic. How easy they made hotspot switching with the L and R buttons? Chef's kisses all around.

Has it been confirmed about the multiple endings? I know Ron mentioned it in an interview previously.
Specifically in our interview. Sheesh!
And yes, I'm confirming.

I don’t know how much there is. I heard it described as playing a DVD with the deleted scene special features stitched back in. In my experience that is good for satisfying intellectual curiosity and sometimes it works really well, but often you say “ah yeah I see why that was cut, in context.” Seemed like a good “second playthrough” feature to me.
I'm playing it right now and am about halfway through it. It doesn't add that much but I actually appreciate what is there. The old pirate leaders are a good example: In regular mode their shop just appears out of nowhere and their descent from the throne is barely touched on. In the Writer's Cut there is a lot more information about both things. Good dialogue, too.
I suppose I can see why they did streamline the game, but for more... enthusiastic... fans, I think the Writer's Cut is the "ultimate" option.

This is close to my arc with it. I got to the end and literally sat back from my computer in my chair and said "huh." And then was quiet for a little while. Then paced around my house for ten minutes thinking . Then went and excitedly told my wife all my thoughts on it because I had no one else to tell because nobody knew the game existed yet (she said "cool" or something, and I can't blame her because it WAS COOL).
Weird, last part was not entirely dissimilar for me, either.

For the record, I, too, picked LeShip for the same reason as @Romão. The tracks drip with atmosphere.
Mêlée is a close second, and the Brrr Muda stuff is great. It's all great, actually, not a single valley that I can think of.
