Good question that I haven't answered yet. A coworker loaned me his console, convinced I would love the game. It's at least worth renting one. You'll know in the first 20 minutes whether or not it's something you're gonna like. I still love obsidian, but it blows anything they've done out of the water.

Thanks for the suggestion. Since zbyl2 was the person who posted in that thread, he was the one I tried first. I have a couple of PM; one or both may be from him.
Re: Deadlystream, I was trying to avoid creating yet another account on the internet, but if push comes to shove, I'll try that next. I appreciate the help!

Leviathan was fun. The new weapon mods were a pleasant surprise. Was really hoping that there were enough war assets to allow me to get the "perfect" ending without multiplayer. Come to find out, they bumped the threshold down to 3100 when the released the Extended Cut earlier in the month.
It could have used a tad bit more exposition, but it was nice finally getting an explanation for where the Reapers came from and how the cycle began. If you're going to steal, then I suppose stealing from Avellone can't be the worst thing that could happen.
And, in the interest of saving the glowing praise for last, they did a fantastic job of integrating the DLC with the game (i.e. crew members have banter and post-mission dialog, etc).

LOL. Oddly enough I was thinking about troll bowling today after reading my email
I'm between games atm. TSLRP 1.8 is something I've yet to experience. I started a PC run of FO:NV but didn't make it out of goodsprings (discovered GECK and got distracted). Also, feeling that I still have another ME2/3 run rattling around inside somewhere. Sigh.

got to a comfortable stopping place with Skyrim. Might circle 'round after another patch or two. Did a xbox FONV run to get the last pending achievement. Installing the PC version now. Any recommended mods you want to throw my way would be greatly appreciated
Hope you had a safe and happy 4th.

Todd Howard says Skyrim DLC will be fewer, and further between, but bigger and more substantial. The verdict?
"You're looking at around eight to 10 hours of gameplay to complete the main Dawnguard storyline, but the reality of it is still slightly insubstantial. Too many of the missions feel like padding, with lots of fetch-questing and "find X number of Y" objectives, and the story gets stretched even thinner as a result.
...
It's a strange one, then. Apart from the (sadly) expected Bethesda hiccups - erratic quest markers, odd spawn glitches - there's nothing really wrong with Dawnguard. At the same time, there's nothing here that demands 1600 Microsoft Points' worth of attention. If all you want is a solid side quest and some good loot, this will scratch that itch. If you were hoping for something more epic and ambitious, keep waiting."

I got through the first two this morning while getting ready for work. Impressed that they added an option, but don't think I'll be rushing to try it. I wish to congratulate you on your genius, sir. You appear to have been one of the rare humans who were able to figure out the end without the extra 6 minutes of PowerPoint slides
