  1. ^_______^

Thanks! It's actually from a wallpaper I found on 4chan. =) I change my avvy way too often though. :p Anyway here it is in all It's glory ! http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e67/Pho3nix-/BionicWoman.jpg

  2. Indeed ^^

Ah yes, Terry Pratchett. I've been meaning to check his books out for a couple of years now. =)

  3. True, you get dyskinesia from the drugs which make you have involuntary movement in addition to the ones you have with P.D, at least that's what I remember.

Never heard of those books before =p I checked them out on Wikipedia and they seem interesting, this might inspire me to start reading more fiction! =)

  4. Heh, yeah I guess I read a lot of non-fiction (nowadays anyway since I've read the Lord of the Rings and the Harry Potter books) ^^ I should probably look into something a little less "serious" sometime. =p The God Delusion and The world without us are both a pretty heavy read.

And yeah, M.J.F has early onset Parkinon's. His autobio is a good read, definitely on my top 5 list. We're sort of similar too I guess, we're both born on the same day and we're the same height as well =) I do hope I won't get a disease of some sort later on, especially not P.D.

  5. Yea, slacking rocks ^^

I do read, but not _a lot_ =) I just finished Michael J Fox's biography "Lucky Man" and I'm currently reading "The World Without" us (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_World_Without_Us) and Richard Dawkins' "The God Delusion"

  6. lawl ^^

Now that I don't have school anymore I have no idea what I want to do in the future, I should get a part time job or something but I'm too lazy =P

  7. Yeah, stuff... ;D the usual, femanon troubles.

Indeed ^^ I love to mix languages.

  8. Heh, sorry for my late reply. I've been dealing with lots of stuff lately.

Swedes have a difficult time understanding the Swedish that we speak, usually anyway. We like to mix in words that are only found in "finnish-swedish" (if you'll call it that) plus finnish words which makes it quite a fun language that contributes a lot to our overall identity =)

  9. #echonet notice from ChanServ: jmac idle for 37 weeks and 6 days.

    :'(

  10. Actually we do have electricity there ^^ indeed, It's always great to come back home after a week.

AFAIK = As far as I know =) And no, heh I can't differentiate between different chinese/mandarin dialects. :xp:

  11. It was ok I guess, a week out in the wilderness is enough for me. =)

Most European languages are pretty distinct, and AFAIK Finnish is one of the hardest languages to learn in the world. Lots of Ä's and Ö's :p

  12. Sorry for my late reply, but I was on a 6 day trip to our summer log cabin. =)

I haven't seen that clip before, but it was pretty typical Finnish mentality ^^ don't you just love the Finnish language? It must seem pretty weird to you ;P

  13. Yes, indeed.

  14. I see you're pop with the 13-year old girls that inhabit the awesomeness which is the Swamp.

  15. I'm pretty sure you can apply for med/law school right after you're done with secondary education, I might be wrong though. =)

  16. Heh, indeed.

On a side note, I really should re-read the Hitchhiker. ^^

  17. Yeah :D I wish I had come up with that quote...

Thanks for the Cassini pic! I haven't seen it before. It is truly amazing, makes you feel extremely humble.

  18. Yeah It's pretty much the same I think. We just have different names for everything :p

  19. lulz, jaymack. I always imagined you as this...fat azn dude.

Your blog seems to prove otherwise :xp: :xp: :xp:

  20. Mm-m, I had a special-ed teacher with me when I did exams and basically I couldn't get an F, and on my senior year I didn't have math at all. Which was nice ^^

  21. Yeah, you don't need math for everything =P

I'm terrible at math, but I have an excuse though ;D (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dyscalculia) I was diagnosed 4 years ago, which was a huge relief since I always thought/knew something was wrong 'cause I kept forgetting everything I learned during the day over-night If I had a test or something. Nowadays It's sometimes hard to keep track of time, sometimes it takes a while for me to do even the easiest tasks like timing between two different trains etc. :/

  22. Yeah, srsly :p I'm referring to pretty much every type of math. If you know math you can be a programmer, economist, pilot...the list goes on!

The English skills in Finland are generally pretty low too, people know how to write english somewhat, but they probably couldn't have an advanced discussion in English. :/ I'd still say that you can get by work/education in Finland without having above average English skills, It's a plus of course, but nothing essential.

  23. Hah! :p thanks I guess ^^

True, it does have it's benefits in travel, but I hate the fact that if you're good at math for example, you can get a job/education a lot easier than if the only thing you're good at is english. :/

  24. Oh right ^^ I forgot about English, which is above average I guess =) maybe I'm being too modest.

    ^________^

  25. Minorities rule! I'm a minority too (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finnish_Swedes) being bilingual rocks =)

And yeah, I try not to be so cynical but I would feel blind if I didn't acknowledge all the evil/crappy/bad things in life.
