  1. It's not Lucas Arts related. See: SEGA Partners With Obsidian Entertainment To Create Original Content For Next Generation Consoles http://www.sega.com/corporate/corporate.php?item=pr_20060323a&id=hp_news or SEGA of America and Obsidian Entertainment collaborate on a next-gen console title! http://www.obsidianent.com/news_archive.html Azuth
  2. According to this 1up.com article entitled "PlayStation 3: Everything We Know from 1UP.com" Obsidian's next game will be a "third-person action-RPG using the Unreal Engine 3", for the PS3. http://www.1up.com/do/feature?pager.offset=5&cId=3148332 Project New Jersey web page at 1up.com: http://www.1up.com/do/gameOverview?cId=3148441 I should also point out that Joseph Bulock on the OE forums said that: http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=39422&st=0&p=528437entry528437 For those that don't know IP=Intellectual property. That statement means that it can not be a Star Wars game, as Star Wars is an Intellectual property owned by Lucas Arts for consoles and computer games. Azuth edited for spelling
  3. You're right... it was passed down through the forums with statements like this: http://swforums.bioware.com/viewtopic.html?topic=471185&forum=26 Bioware employees have been making these statements since they finished production on the first KotOR. I'll bet if you search Derek's posts on that forum you would find a 100 such statements. Azuth
  4. I haven't installed any mods for KotOR 2 yet so I had not created a override folder before the patch. It DID create a override folder. Also be warned it placed THREE files in my override folder not two. Those files are: 1. fx_step_splash.mdl 2. v_damagetat.mdl 3. w_rockpoisn.mdl Azuth
  5. YES!!!!!!! http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=33276&st=105 Azuth
  6. Sorry...been playing. Maybe it was a intermittent bug? I never got a lightsaber there and I always thought it was a bit strange. But then I reasoned that she didn't have a lightsaber because she had been captured. Azuth
  7. Before anybody gets there hopes up: I was in the middle of the game (on Nar Shaddaa) before I patched. The first thing I did after I patched was goto Korriban. Master Vash is still dead however you now get a lightsaber along with the datapad when you find her body....Oh-well. Azuth
  8. Ahh...It is nice to finally know what is going on. But did you read what he said on page 9? http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=32918&st=120 Not unexpected but still a little sad Anybody remember when LA was a great publisher and really cared about their customers? (X-wing and tie-fighter) Azuth
  9. You're not the only one .... and Thanks!!!!! I agree with you 100%. I have been playing Bio games since BG 1 and BIS games since Fallout 1. I have always really enjoyed the storylines and the romances that Bioware puts into their games. But at this time (perhaps it will change in the future) Bio is concentrating on developing its own licenses and has no interest in going through the head-ache of working on others licenses. Bio is currently working on Jade Empire, Dragon Age, and a as yet unannounced console exclusive game based on there own IP. Azuth
  10. Actully I could care less about the KOTOR3.com news. I figured it was just some guy trying to make money. The part that conserns me the most is this: http://forums.obsidianent.com/index...pic=32776&st=15 That can only mean one of three things: 1. There is no KotOR 3 (yeah right we all know that there IS going to be one) 2. Obsidian is not going to do it. And since we know that Bioware is concentrating on doing there own IP's we can infer that they also have no interest in doing it. Which would mean a completely new developer. (this is the thought that actually scares me the most) 3. Obsidian will start KotOR 3 after they finish NWN 2 which would mean we would see the game in 2008-2009 at the earliest. (I really don't want to wait that long) So as you can see...with the information we currently have (at least to me) the prospects don't look promising. Azuth
  11. Hey guys and gals. This is my first post here. ~grin~ I am usally the lurking type. But enough about me...I was just wondering if any of you had seen this....and what it might mean? http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=32776&st=15 kirottu: John Morgan, Assistant Producer, Obsidian Entertainment: Also I noticed on the swknights.com front page that KotOR3.com web site had already been registered so I did a WHOIS check on the site and this is the information that came back.
