  1. I know that feeling, especially after the 'Code Purple' page.
  2. Oh. My. God. I SO need that t-shirt!
  3. "LucasCast is dead, as the forum is, and should remain. Before the inevitable 'Get other members to do the cast' is proposed; No.

It was good while it lasted. Don't ruin it."

    Totally agree with you.

  6.

    You want it when?

  7. Chevron, you saw the post from the 23rd when I said keep it non-spammy, and suddenly seeing 23 posts gone should have been a huge hint, regardless of whether you saw the note in your post or not.

Devon doesn't have power over your keyboard and enter button. You don't have to respond if you know it's going to break the rules. Even my 8 year old knows that the excuse 'he made me do it' isn't going to work with me.

If you want to do IM style talking, take it to IMs or PMs.

  8. Det. Bart is very open-minded about a lot of things.

If/when my kids join, I won't be announcing who they are, because I don't want obnoxious people harassing them.

What do you mean, two? I have a lot more than that! Just ask Point Man.

  9. Do you have a problem with something?

Edit: Ah, I see from the now-deleted thread that you do. Good-bye.

  10. Don't leave me all alone with these crazy people!!!!

    ;P

  11. Finished projects are in the "Taris Upper City Emporium" (clicky), and the forum is labeled as the place for finished mods. They have tags in the thread titles describing if they're for Kotor 1 or TSL. Since this entire forum is only for finished projects, there is no need to label them as 'finished'.

We call what you describe as 'beta' mods "Works in Progress", or WIPs. The are located in this forum (clicky). They have "WIP" tags in the thread titles.

If you want to find a specific mod in the Mod request thread, use the search function. That will speed up the process for you.

  12. Hi. I don't have access to the admin control panel as s-mod so I can't change it. You made the request on a weekend. This is a very busy month for many people with proms, graduations, and jobs. Please be patient. One of the admins will get to it when they can. It can take up to a week or more if everyone's swamped.

    Please remember the following rule:

    5. Do not nag at the administrators. - Believe it or not, all the staff here at LF are volunteers, meaning we do not get paid for what we do. It also means we have lives outside of LF. So do not get snippy if we do not get to your name change right away. Chances are, one of us will come along and get to it in a timely fashion. Being petulant and saying things like "omg, it's been twelve hours, why isn't my name changed yet" will not get your request processed any faster; in fact, it may very well hold up the process. So please, do be patient.

  13. I can't remember what kind of laser we used at college--it was a red one and probably the same as the laser pointers we have now.

I can listen to everything from medieval motets to madrigals to the classical artists to rock--mostly Christian rock ranging from Keith Green to Michael W. Smith to Newsboys to Skillet and Red. I got hooked on Lacuna Coil from the VTMB game, then stoffe linked me to Within Temptation and Nightwish, stingerhs showed me Red and Disciple, and acdcfanbill thought I might like symphonic metal and linked me to some groups, and I ended up picking up some music by Epica and Kamelot. Epica's male lead is more growly than I like, but it's such an interesting melding of strings and metal rock that I really like it.

  14. I closed that thread because there are others exactly the same (see the link for another thread just like it in post 2 or so) in the Republic section.

How did Carth get so many votes? Moderator Magic. ;P

  15. I hate the big roller coasters. We went on Whizzer, Triple Play, their version of the scrambler, Ricochet, Ragin' Cajun, Logger's run, East River Crawler, the balloons, and the Carousel. I do all the spinning rides and Jimbo does all the rides with big drops.

We bought season passes (since we couldn't go to Disney world) so we'll tackle the other rides another time. :D

  16. I have seven charries, 4 of which I started in the last month or so for the kinship contest. I have a lvl 28 rune-keeper, lvl 24 or 25 champion, lvl 16 or 17 hunter, lvl 9 warden, lvl 10 captain, lvl 15 or so loremaster, and lvl 10 minstrel. I potter around a lot with crafting and play the different charries depending on my mood, so I'm not as high a level in any one alt that I could be if I concentrated on just one, but I'm having a good time with it. :)

Let me know when you've gotten the regular membership, and we'll add you to the kinship.

  17. I just KNEW you'd gloat.

They played a great game--very exciting. Sounds like the Buckeye player who got hurt is going to be OK.

  18. I like her a lot, too--she broke some new ground in an era when women were supposed to only be teachers, nurses, or the family manager. That's OK if that's what someone wants to do, but her position in the Trek lore made it OK for women of any race to aspire to something other than that, if that's also what they wanted.

Oh--my sister's quite tired from the chemo, but after only 2 treatments, her one big tumor shrunk by over 50%. Everyone was absolutely thrilled.

  19. I'll forward that to stoffe and tk to see what they can do--it's a good idea. :)

In the mean time--you could add a tag to each thread you've already reviewed with something like 'machievelli review' and then do a search to exclude any threads with that tag to come up with the fics you haven't done yet. It would require some work up front on your part (and anyone who could help you) but that's one possible solution.

  20. I'm a super-moderator.

As for beta testing, that's entirely up to you. That's actually not a staff function by the way--you'll have to recruit your own beta-testers. :)

  21. I'm permanently 29.

As Mary Kay used to say, a woman who will tell her age will tell _anything_.

  22. It feels the same 29 as always. :xp:

Thank you all for the birthday well wishes!!

  23. It helped me write a much better, more interesting story--you can see a huge jump in quality from my first few chapters of The Adventures of Jolee Bindo compared to my latest story I have going in CEC called The Dragonfighters.

I wrote AoJB starting after TSL--I got the idea from Mical commenting that so much had been lost from the Dantooine archives, including 'The Adventures of Jolee Bindo'. I'd love to write an entire series for that character some day. He's a lot of fun to write for.
