  1. All the licensing information I've seen from Disney regardng LucasArts is only for Star Wars games. Does Disney even know about the original non-Star Wars LucasArts' IPs?

  3. The rituals required for the fountain to work, such as the chalices and mermaid tear, are just like the meaningless objects required in MI to take up time before advancing to the next section of the game.

  5. I'm having a problem getting the game to work on Windows 7 (64-bit). Does the game only work on 32-bit operating systems?
  6. I am assuming that the SE only uses prices in the voiced category, so in that case you should change the lines of code that affect the price Stan will say to match the way it is computed in SoMI:SE.
  7. It works best when you play the original first for the opening cinematic and any cuts and then play the director's cut for the additional background story and new scenes.
  8. I really think it needs to include Guybrush, or at least his leg... Here I extended the leg upward a bit based on the graphic first posted by JezzaTheLagomorph, so you probably need to adjust the proportion and size a little.
  9. The position of the shoe makes it seem Guybrush is on a higher platform than Spiffy, or Spiffy has really short legs, especially if you compare the Guybrush and Spiffy sprites. Not sure if this can be adjusted much since the design of the top of Guybrush's shoe is a little odd.
  10. You can not redistribute the modified 000 and 001 files since they contain copyrighted material, hence the reason for the patches that only contain the changes to those files. The patches may fall under derivative work classification, but game modifications typically are not pursued by copyright holders.

  12. MI2 SE will allow voices during original graphics, so it may be possible to modify MI SE to function similarly.

Try following the steps xone posted, just in step 7, use this patch instead: (http://www.mediafire.com/?ntzj5ccnmjm) For the patch, just extract it into your MONKEY folder that contains MONKEY.000 and MONKEY.001 (or MONKEY1.000 and MONKEY.001) and run INSTALL.BAT. Follow the instructions it gives. For step 8, you put scummtr.exe in the MONKEY directory. Then you have to open the command prompt. In XP you can go to Start Menu > Run > type cmd > press enter. It's also in Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt. Once the prompt is open, navigate to the MONKEY directory (for instance, if it is C:\MONKEY, you would type cd c:\monkey and press enter. Once at the MONKEY directory, type scummtr -cw -g monkeycdalt -of mi1.txt -h -H and press enter. If that doesn't work, you might have to use scummtr -cw -g monkeycd -of mi1.txt -h -H instead. At step 9, you just put all the MP3 files and mi1.txt from step 8 and extract mkspeech to that directory and run mkspeech.exe. Step 10 is similar to step 8.

  15. Well, pretty much all the programming is done. We just need people to do the dirty work of putting in the lines that didn't get matched up properly into the missing.txt.

  17. I remember that sheep from STRAY SHEEP on Fuji TV. Village Center Inc. used to make the screenmate, games, and screensavers with that sheep as well before they closed the company last year. I still have some books, videos, screensavers, and of course the screenmate. I also used to make screen mates using Neko. Looking forward to more characters, like Sam and Max and more. Maybe purple tentacle from DOTT?
  18. Can you explain adding logic to the sword fighting scenes? I believe I have done that with different lines based on text color, unless the SE changes lines from the original?

  22. Looks good, however, could you add in CursorShow() right after cutscene[2] and before beginOverride to make it less obvious that we're using a cutscene for this? EDIT: Here's an updated version of dialog splitter with the CursorShow() change added back in: dialogsplitter.zip - 0.01MB
