  1. So I sold the majority of the items but there are a few left that I have re-listed at a knock down price. also a few extra items have been listed too. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/thriftweed4/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg= I suppose I have german releases because I ran out of things to collect and they were slight variations what I didn't have. Take a look
  2. Weird.. It's here now anyway http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190634040050?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649#ht_500wt_1204
  3. Haha no it's not a girl.. I have had all of this stuff for years and it's time to move on and get rid of it all. I am keeping 1 version of each game just for the good old days though. The Bottle is open and the Handbuchs don't contain the discs, Cheers
  4. Yeah it took me years to collect it all but hey sometimes you just have to let things go. The handbuch is kind of a lucasArts encyclopedia telling you a bit about each game. I have added the Monkey Island Poster signed by Steve Purcell too : ) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1906340400...#ht_500wt_1331

  8. So I'm about half way through and I'm pretty disappointed, I'm just not finding it very much fun.. to be honest most of the time I'm totally confused about what I'm doing / supposed to do, It doesn't seem clear to me. It's full of a lot of things that should be really good fun in theory, like driving around an open landscape, running stuff over hacking stuff to pieces etc.. but for me I just find it really bland and boring. The Deuce handles pretty badly, it almost feels like i'm sliding around the place and not actually driving on the ground.. I know the dynamics are exaggerated and it's not supposed to be realistic but I'm just not finding it very much fun at all. And the fighting just isn't satisfying, I don't know why it isn't.. but it just isn't. I can't put my finger on why I don't like the open worldness of it, I'd love it if it was in Zelda - GTA but with this.. it has a emptiness to it, there are so many cool ideas and details everywhere but on the whole it feels really dry and dull, like the main element is missing and it's just a load of cool tiny ideas put together. It's like I'm going from one chore to the next just to see where the story is going. This'll be the only Schafer game I'll more then likely not finish. But anyway.. I'm sure I'm the minority, everyone else seems to be liking the game and it has good enough reviews, just thought I'd send my opinion over this way.
  9. I 100% agree..I was thinking the same thing myself after seeing the video by guy.brush.. TellTale seem to have gotten everything right apart from one thing.. Atmosphere. where the hell is it. Monkey Island is about 3 things for me.. Story, Humor and Atmosphere. without the dark undertones spot on artwork it's just not the same. and this is what guy.brush has nailed.. it's totally awesome. I was just playing the second ep of Tomi.. and it's severely lacking in polish and atmosphere.. and why the hell is everything so bright. The graphical glitches really drag you out of the experience and remind you that you are playing a game.. the line which constantly pans across the sky and the fact that there are only 2 models which a re-used for every pirate, it just makes it look amateur. I only hope that developers take note of what guy.brush has made here and bring back the atmosphere to MI.
  10. Yeah it's pretty much the same apart from a few UI tweaks.. like not being able to have both the Inventory and Verbs window open at the same time, I'm sure this will make the Grog puzzle crazy hard to execute. But anyway.. It's still pretty cool to have MI on my iPhone.
  11. I just downloaded it and I must say that the controls make it virtually unplayable. Instead of just pointing to where you want the cursor to go you have to drag it from one place to the other.. Which wouldn't be so bad if it didn't have an outrageously slow lag, Christ knows what they were thinking when they came up with this.
  12. So I just finished Mi-SE.. overall I thought it was ok but it didn't really add anything to the experience for me, it took away if anything. I thought the voices were pretty good and by the most part can get over the way Guybrush looks.. But the backgrounds were far too sloppy... they were so ameteur, I have seen flash based web games that have more care and attention than these. especially in the forest.. there are so many errors and bad cut outs that I can't mention them all but have a look at the image at a couple, oh and the interface.. man! even knowing exactly what to do it was difficult combining items... god knows how someone who has never played it is going to cope.
  13. Same thing happened to me.. I found the game to be very buggy, especially graphical glitches. But I really enjoyed it non the less, a really great game looking forward to avs 2
  14. I'm from London, England too.. Originally from Staffordshire. :- P
  15. Thanks for the reply.. I'll give it a whirl. Cheers : )
  16. Great news!! I was wondering.. Does this fix problems with playing GF on dual processor machines? I was having the classic stuttering sound issue when playing on any of my new machines. For years I have had to keep an old PC just for playing GF : )
  17. I went for a look at ScummBar just and i was re-directed to 'Dotster' with the notice 'domain name expired' Although this isn't a big deal I thought i'd mention it anyway. : )

  19. It is a tough one, Double fine seem to have higher standards and far more capital than Telltale, But Telltale are sticking to their guns with the old avdenture spirit. Telltale it is!
  20. Looks like something is stiring over at Autumn Moon, in the forums Bill says '...our tech demo was to be shown to publishers at E3, not for the public. Not that I am being mean. Let’s just say publishers are more forgiving of the rough edges around tech demos than the public is. But E3 has been a great leaning experience for me, and though I can’t say anything due to NDAs, let’s just say I am very happy right now, after an exhausting week. But I can say no more, though trust me I want to.' Does this mean they have finally got a publisher? I bloody hope so.
  21. I think it's looking great, I'm really excited about the trailer. apparently there is an interview with Dan Connors over at Gametap at 1:00 EST with the permiere of the Sam and Max trailer.
  22. Yeah I agree on the textures and detail point, the best thing about Sam and Max is the rich detailed scenery. But they look promising so far. And they should sharpen up Max's teeth for heavens sake.
