  1. The first issue of the new comic, Blood of the Empire, was released today. You can read it here. This looks promising to me. Instead of the 3-panel releases we got in Threat of Peace, these are coming out in 7-panel releases that allow for a lot more story to be told. It's also from a different author and the illustrations look much cleaner to me.
  2. The tie-in novel to the game slated for release on July 20 now has a cover. Click here for the full article, including an updated plot summary.
  3. StarWars.com published a short story about Hylo Visz, the smuggler we've seen introduced for ToR. It's called "The Old Republic: Smuggler's Vanguard". You can read the short story here.
  4. SWTOR.com posted a new article related to the "Community" factor of the game. It actually talks a little about gameplay, which we haven't seen much of to date. Link
  5. Check out the newest playable class announced today on SWTOR.com! Link I especially recommend watching the videos under the "Combat Tactics" section. Good stuff. BTW, the Aurebesh translates as follows: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Center Area: We wrote this haiku to say we hope you enjoyed April Fools Day Left Side: Jawa Extreme Sport: Sarlacc Salvage Fishing Title Area: The Original Noodly Appendage
  6. There's a new section of the holonet up on SWTOR.com titled "Biographies". I'm really excited for this - especially learning about some of the characters from the Deceived Trailer that I've been wondering about. You can check it out yourself here.
  7. SWTOR.com also introduced Belsavis today. There are some interesting screen shots to view here. I like having some more Rakatan lore inserted into the story also - I found them very interesting in K1.
  8. Whether Threat of Peace was well received or not, Bioware and Dark Horse have teamed up again for a second Web-Comic, check it out... Click Me
  9. Rebecca Harwick, a writer for the Old Republic MMO, describes the Sith Inquisitor's path and difference from the other Sith class of the game. Read the full story at swtor.com...
  10. http://www.pcgamer.com/pdfs/Jan10_StarWars.pdf PC Gamer kindly provided scans for a preview of TOR from next month's (and year's) issue, by and large it's nothing new, but it looks pretty and magazine quality, plus Bioware explained what they meant by the Agent being inspired by Tarkin.
  11. Here is the page for the Sith Inquisitor that I just noticed popped up http://www.swtor.com/info/holonet/classes/sith-inquisitor
  12. Interesting Interview with Lead Writer Daniel Erickson about the New Force user Classes, Tanks and Healers, and a few titbit's about Revan and malak Clicky
  13. Check it out. The link itself: http://swtor.com/info/holonet/classes/jedi-consular So...looks like...a tank/healer to me? Something of a Paladin. Very interesting approach. It seems both Jedi classes will be melee orientated.
  14. Here are some new screenshots from Coruscant. http://swtor.com/media/screens/coruscant
  15. Yet another fanciful Galactic Timeline update for this week. Linky. On a side note, I smell yet another Sith class... ...as well as another oddly-written element; Sith allying themselves with Mandalorians to defeat the Republic?
  16. Not big news (at least not to me), but swtor.com is launching localized sites in Germany and France. http://swtor.com/news/news-article/20090818_001
  17. http://www.swtor.com/news/article/20090814_001 Kinda interesting at the end, but that's about it...
  18. Hey folks, it's Friday, and you know what that means: it's time for me to inflate my post count with official 'news' because my ego demands it. Click me for Bioware's take on it! To sum it up, the smuggler fans on the forums have made a Smuggler and Skilled Criminal's Union Local 69 Smuggler's Alliance and have now released 3 potential logos which are surprisingly well done. I'm still trying to figure out how competing criminals decided to make an alliance, but it's not my place to judge. In other things the community has been doing, there is now a fan-made radioplay (podcastplay?) and video series being produced. There is also a thread of Star Wars themed ascii art. On the poll side of things, Bioware has proposed a what-if? situation for the playerbase to vote on. I'd personally tell teach the captain how to love again. With my lightsabre.* Apparently the poll is a lead in to next week's update, which will apparently involve a video. And finally, Bioware has released a new wave of avatars for their forums, including what looks like a rakghoul standing up. It looks like an albino Venom from Spiderman. *That was unintended. Seriously
  19. Clickez-moi! So Bioware have thrown us another bone with some more development of the preexisting plot. Why didn't they do this in the first act when people were paying attention? Discutez!
  20. Clicky Okay, so Bioware has just released a little blog entry about how awesome, epic, and heroic the smuggler is. I haven't actually read it yet, so I'm not going to go too in depth about it. Discuss! ******** yeah.
