  1. Hi there everyone. Thought it would be a good idea to pop over here and introduce myself. As some of you know, I was the GM of a SWTOR guild that was closely aligned with The Walking Carpets called Clan Dukane. Clan Dukane is/was a small guild that existed since early access. The majority of our members are interested in end-game PVE, and as part of the Casual Alliance, which TWC was also a part of, we have organized a lot of in-game events. Recently Mav and I got to talking about what would be best for our guilds and came to the conclusion that we needed to join forces. To that end, Clan Dukane has merged in to TWC and will be bringing with us quite a few active players and fresh faces. As part of this merger, I will be taking over the day to day GM duties, with the help of Mav, Jeff and Lynk. I am really excited about this merger and hope that we can add to your enjoyment of SWTOR, especially as the game transitions to FtP, as this will allow anyone that is interested in following up on the KOTOR storyline an easy way to do so. (P.S. If you want the most KOTOR like game experience, definitely try a Jedi Knight!)
  2. Seijin has set up fun Operation runs for this weekend. http://thewalkingcarpets.com/events Both days it is set for 2:00 PM West Coast time (server time). If you have never done operations and want to see the story, get the achivements or just get your feet wet in group content, this should be a fast easy way to see the content.
  3. THE WALKING CARPETS THE OFFICIAL GALACTIC REPUBLIC GUILD FOR THE LUCASARTS FAN NETWORK We welcome anyone interested in friendly, mature gaming. Just like the original walking carpet himself, we are strong, loyal, friendly and sociable... and we pull peoples arms out of their sockets when we lose. Server details Name: Harbinger Location: US West (PST) Type: PvE (Player vs Environment) Want to join this guild? No problem, we're eager to have new recruits join The Walking Carpets. All you need to do is post the following details in this thread... Name of your character Class Advanced class (if you have decided) Role (if you have decided) Chosen Crew Skills (when you get them) You can also use this thread to update us on your character details if you decide what advanced class you want to play as or if you have respecced your advanced class and have changed from DPS to Healer, for example. Remember to make sure the character you've chosen to enter into the guild actually exists on the server named Harbinger so we can send you a guild invitation. IMPORTANT: We can only send your character a guild invitation when that character is ONLINE. Unfortunately that's the only way it can be done, the easiest way to expedite the process is to post your character's information here and add the names of the Guild Officer's to your in-game friends list. This allows you to see when they are online and you can send them a /whisper to ask for an invite. Of course you can also try to coordinate a time to meet via PMs here. Once you become a member of The Walking Carpets, you get a shiny new badge added to your forum profile that will identify you as a proud member of The Walking Carpets. Note: No member is allowed to use these badges in their signature. These are specifically made to be displayed under your user information on the left sidebar in forum posts and in your profile. Optional Step: If you would like to participate in end-game content, specifically Operations, you will need to register at the website hosted for our non-LFN guild members, which we use to coordinate our Operations. You can find that website here: http://www.thewalkingcarpets.com and follow the Recruitment tab at the top to be taken to an application page. LFN Users will have their applications accepted ASAP and will have member privileges at that website. Regardless of if you would like to participate in end-game content or not, I do encourage everyone to register there and meet your fellow guildies. 4. Hey everyone, as some of you may have noticed there's a new face here and you are going to find a lot more new faces when you hop back on to SWTOR. During the early days of being level 50 things had gotten stale and we were searching for ways to extend our experience with SWTOR. It was very apparent that we weren't going to be able to see all that the game had to offer without the help of others. By sheer chance we bumped into another small guild that shared our interest and desire to see all of the content beyond the class stories. Clan Dukane had set the ground work for what was to become the Casual Alliance and we were thrilled to be a part of that development. Patches and Game Updates were released, World Events came and went, Server Transfers were initiated and the line between our guilds began to blur. With the very recent super server consolidations and the imminent released of patch 1.4 and the shift to a Free-to-play system, it was finally time for that line to vanish. The goal behind this merger is to allow easier interaction between our members, increase our activity and strengthen our community as we push to meet new people and make new friends. As our server grows, we want and need to grow with it. In addition those of you that have been playing recently have undoubtedly noticed a dip in activity this merger is going to make our guild a much livelier place which I'm sure will help you all get more out of this game. So what does this mean for us LFN users? What's going to change? You're all going to have a much better opportunity to chat and play with a whole host of other friendly folks than before. You'll have many more chances to participate in end-game activities such as Flashpoints and Operations and see more of the game that could ever have alone. To that end all of the end-game operations and event will be set up through their re-branded website which you can find here: http://www.thewalkingcarpets.com. By no means are any of you required to go there and register, but I encourage you to do so. If you do choose to register there, please also fill out an application through the Recruitment tab at the top. When you hop back online and see some new names and faces, do your best to make them feel at home. If you have any questions feel free to post them here or send me a PM. Thanks and see you all online. Mav
  5. Well the thread is gone, but the plan is still the same. Hopefully we will get enough to form a group to give JasraLantill and Miltiades the opportunity to experience SM EV Sunday. http://dukane.enjin.com/events#op=detail/preset_id=3065296/event_id=261226/timestamp=1344204000 Militiades/Jasra plan on being in game 15 mins before the start time, 20 to 25 would be even better if you don't already have the weekly and speeder achievement quest.
  6. Alright I know most of our Officers are busy with Ops with Casual Alliance and HMFP and Dailies with our level 50s but we now have a number of toons at mid to high level and I believe it is time we do something as a guild... The easiest thing would be a low to midlevel World Boss, I'm thinking Taris or Nar Shadda (neither are that difficult), but I'm open to suggestions. I would rather go as my Shadow, but I'm willing to go as a healer. BongoBob, Lynk and I killed the WB on Quesh the other morning and it was a total blast. Mainly because Lynk let Brem fight between heals. However if we get a decent group and I play as Brem I promise just to heal and stun.... So who would like to tackle a WB? Pretty sure we can bribe Lynk into being our meat shield, so it would be relatively safe (as long as you don't stand to close to him) and it could net you some decent gear as you level up. I Want You, DEAD!
