Aussie Shows?

They were definitely British cartoons. After all Bill Oddie was involved with Bananaman, he was in the Goodies (the DVD is in the player right now - go Kitten Kong!!!)

All those memories of British entertainment on the ABC for their childrens programming. They are all a new experience for me now they are on DVD, I only used to get to watch them on a small black and white TV.

For us Aussies, it was rare that an American program broke through for the childrens programming on the ABC.

Danger Mouse rocked.

Good Grief!

Who can forget the nefarious Baron Silas Greenback?

Duckula was good too.

And I remember The Goodies from my childhood - i.e., when they were originally shown on TV. :p

From showdowns with tomato kechup, to the Black Pudding sketch, and the kitten attacking London...it was classic off-the-wall humour. :D Oh...and the dive-bombing goose... Hehe...

And my kids watch Fireman Sam... Bet you Aussies have no idea where Pontypandy is. :p

I could go on for hours remembering lots of classic British kids TV, so I'll shut up now. :D
