I'd like for us to have the English copy back online before other sites start running translated versions. DrMcCoy Posted November 10, 2003 Share Posted November 10, 2003 stephen king's dark tower is a story about roland, the last gunslinger in a world that "moved on" and his search for the "dark tower"... the 5th book will be out in germany this month... "jake, were are thou" just reminds me of roland being somewhat torn apart (in the 3rd book) because he can't tell whether jake, a boy from new york in the 70's, really was there (jake stepped in rolands world because got killed in his world, but roland stopped the murderer (later in his)/(earlier in jake's) world). so jake never died and came into roland's world. roland knows that, but he also know that jake _was_ there. one part of his mind is yelling "He was there" and another part his yelling "No, he wasn't"...
