Make sure that "model dismemberent" in the options menu is on.

go to your base folder and look for "jaconfig.cfg" rename it to autoexec.cfg, and add these lines:

helpusobi "1"

seta g_sabermorerealistic "2"

seta g_dismemberprobabilities "100"

seta g_dismemberment "3"

seta rcon_dmflags "8"

seta broadsword "1"

Start up SP or MP and dismemberent should be on.

You can tell if its on when you see bodies chopped.

Actually, for MP all you need is:

g_dismember "100"

cg_dismember "3" (or 2)

For online play, if the server has the g_dismember cvar enabled, then it will work; if not, it won't.

btw, Crow_Nest...

What does the rcon_dmflags "8" do?

Dunno. But it doesn't do any harm ;)

Once again, (read my post on this subject here: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=1326811#post1326811) g_dismember controls the frequency of dismemberment (0-100) on the server side, cg_dismember controls the type of dismemberment seen (0,1, or 2) on the client side. Typing /seta cg_dismember 400 is the same as typing /seta cg_dismember 2.

dmflags 8 = no falling damage

dmflags 16 = fixed field of vision

dmflags 32 = no footsteps

The values are additive: seta dmflags 40 //no falling damage or footsteps

  • 2 weeks later...

If you were wondering what /broadsword 1 (thanks crow!) is, it's a client side command to enable "ragdoll" physics for bodies in MP.

Quite fun, and seems much more stable in the patch (my game would crash sometimes using it in 1.0).

Btw, if you haven't guessed, dismemberment means cutting off limbs (with the Lightsabers). ; )
