But for a suave B&W Johnny Depp movie, I gotta go with Ed Wood. Especially since it also had Bill Murray, and Martin Landau as a heroin addicted Bella Lugosi.

Yeah, Neil Young did the guitar work in 'Dead Man'.

It also starred Crispin Glover, Lance Henriksen, Michael Wincott, Gabriel Byrne, Eugene Byrd, Billy Bob Thorton, Steve Buscemi, Iggy Pop, John Hurt, Robert Mitchum and many other fine actors actors and actresses.

Ed Wood was also great, being a huge Lugosi, Depp, and Burton fan, I thought it was a superb flic.

Bill Murray is great too, "I got to get into this dude's pelt and crawl around for a few days. Who's the gopher's ally. His friends. The harmless squirrel and the friendly rabbit." - Caddyshack (sorry, knida off topic, not a quote from Ed Wood, but I had to.)

Well since I see there is another David Lynch fan among you, and someone posted 'Eraserhead'.

This is also another fine movie by Lynch based on a true story of a man with elaphantitis named John Merrick.

Starring John Hurt and Anthony Hopkins.

The Elephant Man (1980)

Here is a poem by John Merrick:

Tis true my form is something odd,

But blaming me is blaming God;

Could I create myself anew

I would not fail in pleasing you.

If I could reach from pole to pole

Or grasp the ocean with a span,

I would be measured by the soul;

The mind's the standard of the man - John Merrick

I've seen too many B&W films...they're all just a blur in my head apart from a few...

It's a Wonderful Life

Seven Samurai

Harvey

Them!

Fiend Without A Face

Quatermass 1/2

The Day The Earth Stood Still

King Kong (1933)

20 Million Miles to Earth

The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms

The old Margaret Rutherford 'Miss Marple' films were good

Basil Rathbone's 'Sherlock Holmes' films...

Laurel and Hardy films by the dozen

Westerns...war films...gah, they're all a blur.

I remember watching Eraserhead late one night. Disturbing...

Some Like It Hot is good.

Psycho was never scary at all for me - in fact, I thought it was quite boring.

Ed Wood was also good - I reckon Mr. Landau deserved an oscar for his performance as Bela Lugosi.

You know...I can't remember whether some films are B&W or not. Lol... :p
