KotOR is born from Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate 2. D&D 3rd edition combat system and Star Wars D20 rules and a fantastic plot with tons of inter-party interaction - without losing sight of who *you* are. Compare it to JK. So, no it's nowhere near that. It's only the best game ever created. Here are some screenies and stuff. And I know the screenies don't show much about how the game really works, but trust me, as someone who's played it three times already, at 35 hours per game, it's awesome. I still give the award of "greatest RPG ever" to NWN, but that should take nothing away from KOTOR. Well, when I think point-click I think Dungeon Siege. KotOR combat is like this: - Game Auto-pauses when enemies sighted - Choose enemy to attack - Select attack (or stack up to 4 attacks in the attack queue) - Choose another party member and repeat. - Do same for final party member. - Un-pause and watch the battle play out, pausing at any time to alter the flow of attacks. I don't want to get into another JK vs. KotOR thing. Suffice it to say KotOR is a RPG, through and through. Not a FPS, not an 'action-RPG' or whatever. Breton Posted March 31, 2004 Share Posted March 31, 2004 Why can't you buy both? They're both great games, after all. But if you have to choose, choose Warcraft. Insane replayability, the best online play of any game I've ever seen, constant patching and balancing, fun campaign with superb story and great cinematics makes this definatly better to buy than KotOR. Warcraft is the game I've played the most ever, we're easily talking about 500+ hours spent on this game and still not tired of it. But take my advice: Buy both. No - I'd recommend: - Call of Duty - Tron 2.0 - XIII - Elite Force II - Neverwinter Nights - ... just about anything before ever recommending a RTS game. Because I don't like them.
