Many Bond fans think Tarantino would do a great job making a film adaptation of Ian Fleming's book Casino Royale, he could do a great job of bringing back the suspense and realism that it should have.

A petition has been made asking for them to allow Tarantino to make the film (Tarantino has already said he wants to do it and only needs $40,000,000)

As much as I love Tarantino, and as much as I love Bond, I simply don't think Tarantino's style would suit a Bond film. Unless he is prepared to adapt his writing to fit the Bond template, I really don't think it would work.

Then again, the last couple of Bond films have been utter ****e - in particular the last one, I don't think you could really do any worse. So, if he wants to do one, let him - it'd probably add a new dimension to the ageing series...

I had some pretty huge deja vu there for awhile, thinking perhaps it was a glitch in the matrix... :p ....I was knockin myself on the head saying "hey I posted in this !"......

but yes, in that other post too, although I think the Brits wont have a bar of it, the Bond series defintely needs something good to happen to it quick.... like the opening sequence of the most recent Bond flick, we're all used to silhouettes of sexy ladies, instead we get 4 minutes of Pierce Brosnan getting his head shoved down a toilet.....

Meh.

I'll let it run it's due course, they'll either let him do it or they won't, and an internet petition isn't going to sway them either way.

I agree. I don't think an internet petition would sway anybody for anything.
