My friend Mike is a dumbass. Let me explain.

After buying Mass Effect 2 he said after he beat it he'd let me borrow it. Three days after it came out he called me to say he beat it, but he didn't get the perfect ending, so he was playing through it again. Then he failed to get it again, so playthrough number 3 was started. Once again, he failed. He started playthrough number 4, and then stopped playing. For a while. Finally I called him out on it, and mentioned that he had FFXIII and Dragon Age Awakening on preorder and had just bought Bad Company 2, he wasn't going to be touching it for a while, and he finally let me borrow it a few days ago.

Well, I just beat it on easy (I always run through games I know I'm going to enjoy on easy first and then go through on retarded difficulty because I have more fun that way) with my first Mass Effect Shepard, a male Vanguard. I got the perfect ending on my first playthrough. Mostly due to the fact that A) I'm not an idiot, B) I'm a completionist whore and upgraded the Normandy fully and did everyones loyalty quests, and C) I'm not an idiot.

To be fair, I guess if you're not a completionist whore like me it's possible to not get it, but at the same time, if you're truly a Mass Effect/Bioware fan, you're a completionist whore :p

The perfect ending is everyone loyal and everyone survives. I had the perfect ending on my first playthrough too, and I got the achievement for level 30 right at the very end. I'm the only person I know that managed to get it in one playthrough (not sure it can be done without the DLC). Now THAT is what you call a completionist whore. :p

Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you technically get it without doing everyone's loyalty missions? Unless there's a special ending if you do.... Because I didn't do all the loyalty missions, but not everyone died.

Well, I just picked up ME2 on thursday and have played to the point where you meet Sheen's charachter. Like the way you can view your Shephard from multiple angles while creating the face. I'd hoped for something like that.

You can change the angles in the first one, it's just a horrible system and the lighting sucks.

TBH, I don't know, because on every one of my four playthroughs, I've done all the loyalty missions. I suspect that the people you use at the end for the choices you have to make at least need to be loyal, not sure about the rest.

I also decided that I should own physical copies of my favorite albums. So I started out with my single most played album according to my Zune account.

Your ship's name better be good, 'cause I want a good laugh, Dath.

I have 4 actually, my first was a constitution class called the Essex (got the gamestop version of the game), when I got promoted to LT Commander I chose a constitution refit which was named the Essex as well, same registry number but with A at the end of it, also got a science vessel called the USS Kristian and an escort vessel called the USS Event Horizon

Since my other netbook, an EEEPC 1000hd got its screen cracked the other day and replacements cost too much, I opted to upgrade:

I loved my last one and it was the perfect size for a laptop, although it only got about three hours of battery life watching video. This will change all that. :D
