It doesn't give credit when he's auto-killed. Because no one killed him... The *only* way to kill a Jedi and get credit is by running them over with a vehicle. You can also blast them into a death pit with grenades or vehicle weapons such as off Bespin or into the Sarlacc, but you don't get credit.
