Far as I can see just the back cover and the inside page. It has the girl doll from the toybox series. Great back cover. I dont know if he penciled the other stuff or not I cant find much on this comic. I can scan it if you wish. I also opened that magazine and sure enough there sits sam and max on page 94 and 95. Sort of a superhero biography fact file. Tells all sorts of stuff like height weight eyes hair, base of operations. A funny part of it is "the somewhat pathetic villains of sam and max" Also there is a picture of Purcell on the bottom left.

This magazine is called

Hero Illustrated #12 June 1994

If you find any info on it let me know. I can also scan these pages.

Cool, about time someone did this.

Dont know if you have this on but there is an oakland CA book with a 1 page bio on steve and sam n max are on there too. I will try to get a pic of it sent soon, I have other stuff too I need to send pics of. Some REAL cool stuff.

Also he told me he did HERO 1-6 not 1-4

Also again :p I found a site while trying hard to look for more purcell stuff and he did some early D&D covers, here is the site

http://www.pen-paper.net/rpgdb.php?...&creatorid=6581

And i read he had some involvement with "fish police" comics

And you forgot "amazing high adventure #5" that he penciled...yet another animax but i own it :p

He also did the back cover on "Marvel comics presents #42"

He had part in "Wolverine #55"

and "X marvel #21" as penciler

Also just read about inking in "Mr. Monster's super duper special #1-#5"

"superman man of steel gallery" inkin was also rumored to be done by purcell

Heck thats a load for now,

Let me know if u need more info I probably have some more not listed

Dont forget fox kids and that wizard mag too :p ill try to get any pics u need just let me know !

I sent a message to steve about the hero comics a while ago, here was his response

Hello Steven--

I've been on vacation and didn't get your mail until now. Yeah, I did

the

penciling on those Hero comics and I would best describe them as

"unremarkable". I don't even have a set of them myself. So that's the

scoop.

Take care,

Steve

I had asked about hero 1-6 he never said himself he didnt do 6 but he also never said he didnt. Ill dig up more but u might want to look at the GCD for some info on steve purcell, I got alot from there. Ill be in touch soon.

Ive always hated milehighs prices. I found differnet worlds for 3$ locally same with snake pipe hollow. Working on the beastiary right now, but they are asking 13$ per when you can get them at second hand d&d stores for less than 5$. If i get desperate Ill buy those but for now im still looking for Genertela, Crucible of the Hero Wars since the cover is badass. Someday soon I hope to make a purcell site mabye you could help with the info. Any other scans or anything you need ? let me know

Thanks for the info!

Just an update for the Hero comics, I bought them all and emailed Steve himself about it, here is what he said

Q: In the comic series Hero,

did you do all covers 1-6 or just 1-5.

A: "I penciled all those Hero issues and penciled and inked all the covers."

Steve Purcell

He did not give any new info on other items however but I came across a few things ill try to scan over the next few days.

I cleaned this up and updated it, if you guys ever want to put all this information on the website, then I will be happy to scan the covers of whatever comics I have so that you can avoid using scans with Mile High's watermark (assuming a lot of these links still even work.)

I didn't collect anything Steve Purcell didn't write though nor did I buy anything he contributed covers or artwork for.

Have you seen the List of Sam & Max stories page at the wiki yet? The bulk of that info is taken from the old comicography and this thread. Let me know if there's anything missing or wrong with it and I'll fix it up.

I'm keeping this thread in mind in case we need any covers, but I think we're good for the moment. I'll think about what to do with the non-Sam & Max comics by Steve Purcell. Some of that stuff could go on the Steve Purcell page if nothing else.
