They supported the Republic, and when the Empire came, their king sold them on ships for slave labor. The squibs eventually joined the Rebel Alliance. He is briefly seen in the Clone wars: the Animated Series, where, from Hypori, he calls Obi-Wan for help. This gesture is ultimatly in vain, as he is slain there by General Grievious. These wings are subdivided into six squadrons of 12 fighters each.One of these squadrons is typically made up of TIE interceptors while another consists of TIE bombers. Each squadron consists of three flights of four fighters each. Each flight contains two elements. They were shaped like smaller YT-1300 light freighters, but with the side cockpit moved to a location in the center. Their armaments included frontal torpedo tubes, a top-mounted quad laser cannon, and a bottom-mounted bomb/spotter droid drop pod. They had three engines and were painted black. Their pilots wore green and black suits. As of 40 ABY, only ten late-model prototypes and several earlier models existed.
