*noob*maps and patches

can some one plz tell me how to put patches and maps inside battlefront?i dont now how.

Official patches such as 1.1 and 1.2 can be placed ANYWHERE and opened, it checks the registry where battlefront is installed and patches the files there.

 

Maps are placed in the AddOn folder in your battlefront folder. Check C:/Program Files/Lucasarts/Sw Battlefront ; should be the default install folder

alegis i have no hoth map in my addon folder so i cant put the map in.r u sure thats how u do it?

C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront\GameData\AddOn

where the f*ck do you put the custom maps, i loaded the rancor lair map and it loaded fine. tried 3 more custom maps with no luck, i down loaded them unzipped them put them in the add on folder nothing, funny thing when i open the add on folder the rancor file isn't there but i can select it in instant action. all this downloading maps reminds me of my cs days when i had to manually download maps which sucked!!! that is until i got a map installer which made loading maps a breeze.wish battle front would do the same.any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

crystal clear,i wrote it down to make sure i got it right, i probably forgot something. i really suck at manually downloading maps. i'll give it another try later today.
