Raven2001
A model for the Sith Tremor Sword... After all, they were only given to the Sith Elite in sword fighting, so I wager they should get something artesanal http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y188/sb38R2/SithTSword1.jpg Here is a pic of the face in the guard: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y188/sb38R2/SithTSword2.jpg You know you like it when you see Sith Lords' Faces in a sword EDIT: Oh, and here's a WIP for the Das'Kar hunting Mask http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y188/sb38R2/DaskarWip.jpg I'm running out of imagination on this one, anyone has a thought on any knid of detail I could add to it?? Juha Avery
Looks great, i would prefer the blade to be little bigger but its great now.
Jeff
Looks pretty good. For the mask, I think if you just add a few colors to it, it should look great.
General Kenobi
Both the sword and the mask look REALLY good man I especially like the face in the sword very cool idea! I bet it will look amazing when finished. Are you gonna put a real face? or a metalized face like gold, chrome and the like? The mask looks really cool as well Can't wait to see more from this thread
Raven2001
I'm not gonna put anything... you are I was thinking of a metalized look, anyways... Here's another two, straight from the factory... A revamped Circlet of Saresh... see the plate on the forehead??? It's supposed to have a symbol on it: the symbol of the Saresh family. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y188/sb38R2/Saresh.jpg The Ryyk Blade... now the wookies will have serious fun http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y188/sb38R2/Ryyk.jpg Enjoy

Friendly competition, mind you it helps everyone push the envelope that way! Anyways, here are the Rodian Death Sword (above) and the Rodian "Standard" Sword (Below) http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y188/sb38R2/RodianBlades.jpg hmmm... I've gotta think on some cool designs for the Zabrak and Echani... Maybe a Samurai'ish design for the Echani?? They look very martial art oriented, wadda you think??? General Kenobi
I'd LOVE to see a samuri fighting sword with the curved blade and the like in game :D would be very sweet man. I vote YAY
Mav
IMHO... The Sith Tremor sword's handguard and handle look fine, but to me I envision the blade of a "Sith Tremor sword" to be more exotic. The Hunter Mask, looks aight The Saresh Circlet looks pretty cool with that circle thingy on the forehead. The Ryyk blade... again just personal preference, but I like Achilles Ryyk blade better, it's more traditional. And for the Rodian Blades, I'm not too fond about the size of the teeth, maybe make them smaller and more numerous, but I know that will raise the poly count substatially. Anyway, they look a lot better than the swords I've made, keep 'em coming.
Emperor Devon
Ooh, good models. The sith tremor sword could stand to be a bit longer, but otherwise they're all great!
T7nowhere
They look pretty good, but I can imagine those masks you have made to be a whole pile of frustration. Fitting masks can be trouble some in KotOR and TSL* Here's a tip when rigging masks(in gmax). Select and Line up the new mask to one of the old ones that is similar in shape then click on hierarchy tab and select "Affect pivot only", next select the align tool and click on the old maskand finally hit "reset Xform" ont he nwmax toolbar. abd your mask should fit pretty well on almost any head. Oh and when your done with the old mask just delete completely and create a new Aurora Base

Raven2001
@T7: I'm using Darth Bandon's head to line the masks... won't that work?? Also, I don't use 3dsmax for the modeling part, but I think I understand what you mean... I'll see the alignement of my masks with pre-existing ones, and change as I see fit. thanks for the tip @Achilles: thanks, that will help alot! Gonna do something with it tomorrow
T7nowhere
hmm, Bandons got a small head , probably why he only had 4 lines of dialog in KotOR For the basic shape of the head ya that will do, but getting a mask to fit on all heads is a bit of a challange if there isn't some leeway in the masks design. Tight fitting masks will always be tough to align well, and most of the time you will get clipping on atleast a couple of the PC/NPC heads. Raven2001
Well, but every mask\visor in TSL will clip through a character's head (the force focusing visor in jolee, for example... it clips on the nose). The thing is, I only use the head model for the proportions, then before converting the model can be resized... when their done I'll see how they turn out, and change as I see fit... I only used Bandon's head because he is bald Well, this seems to become a bit of a problem, but it can be overcome I think... I'll have to worry about it later EDIT: Anyways, here's the updated Das'Skar Hunting Mask... I think it looks much better now... Notice the theet coming from the sides, as illustrated by Achilles' info. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y188/sb38R2/DaskarMask.jpg
