Hi, I have a Voodoo 5 5500 pci video card and I recently installed Wicked gl to get jedi outcast to work but it got rid of the "block text" but the geometric and model detail is really gone bad and blurry and the textures have gone blurry too. When I did'nt have Wicked GL Installed I had the "block text" and the textures and the model detail were perfect. Please Help Me!

Q: 3Dfx Voodoo 3/4/5 display card users and Jedi Outcast.

A: At the time of release of Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast, 3dfx is no longer in business. Because of this, we will be unable to provide support for 3Dfx cards. This being said, we tested these cards in all operating systems with the drivers listed below to provide information for people still using these chipsets.

3dfx cards are not supported in Windows 2000 or XP. The official drivers for these operating systems are not OpenGL compatible. We suggest that you download and install the latest retail Windows 95/98 driver for your Voodoo display card. The Voodoo3 1.07.00 WHQL (DX ver. 4.12.01.0666) driver is available at the Voodoofiles website. The Voodoo4/5 1.04.00 driver is available at Download.com (do a search for Voodoo5 In Downloads) or try one of the following URL's:

Please note the following issues you may encounter using a Voodoo 3/4/5 card with Jedi Knight 2:

- The Mon Mothma hologram may be displayed as a white rectangle.

- Pre-rendered cutscenes may flicker between the movie and a white screen.

- The in-game menus may be a little blurry. If this occurs, they will still be readable.

- The screenshot of the saved game may be displayed as a white square in the Load Game and Mission Load screen.

- Games may not save or load properly.

- Saved games may take a long time to load.

- The screenshot of the saved game may be graphically corrupt in the Load Game and Mission Load screen.

For more information and help with Jedi Knight 2 running on a Voodoo 3, 4 or 5 video card, we recommend that you go to the following 3rd party website for recommendations from other users:

For less than $80 you could get a much much newer video card that wouldn't give you the problems you are complaining about. Also, you will be able to play the latest games, instead of struggling to get a 5 year-old card to play a 3 year-old game.
