even the best have bad days...ewok day was just a bad bad day.

As for the Evil Jedi...they were enemies of the Republic...the Clone Troopers did indeed take out the Evil Jedi.

as for uniform stylage...StormTroopers all the way. the way it was set, once an enemy figured out your color sets it was much easier to figure out who to shoot first....

"hey bob"

"yea"

"got two groups of clones heading this way"

"what colors?"

"im looking at Dark Blue and, i could be wrong, but pink?"

"oh, ok...take out the blues first...the pinks are standards...btw, thats just a faded red, nipplehead"

flash forward to epIV times

"hey bob jr"

"yea?"

"got some Stormtroopers coming this way"

"time to leave."

"aye"

all cgi/extra this is just a movie indeed convos aside:

Clone Troopers were the "good guys" till they "went bad" at the end of III

Stormtroopers were always the "bad guys"

movies are made that the good guys are more accurate, better fighters, and more prepared than the bad guys.

therefore: until the Clones went "bad" they were the mack daddies. as soon as they went "bad" they lost the ability to be mack daddies in combat.....sadly, STs were never the mack daddies because of that good/bad slant. the OT was writting and filmed to make the good guys, well, the good guys.

overall, though, I prefer the StormTroopers. not because of the OT thing as I look at all six now, but simply because they seemed more uniform...like the clones in epII...which is more intimidating and impressive.

It's not really fair to say stormtroopers were "bad guys". That's as simplistic as saying that all German soldiers in WWII were Nazis(they weren't, though the SS were a different story altogether). The stormtroopers, like many of the galaxy, believed in the new order, at least, at the outset.

As far as which I like, the clonetroopers seem like the more impressive of the 2, since they were portrayed that way in the films. Though, I must admit a certain nostalgic loyalty to the stormtroopers, who I felt were not really portayed as the well trained troops that they were in the original trilogy.

for the love of...

i was pointing out their portrayal in a movie as it was written. whether they were good or bad individually in that movie isnt part of the equation. teh fact is, for the movie, the good guys are more skilled and have better aims than the bad guys unless you are a member of the "extra" population then the bad guys will have superior aim and, if called for, you may get hit "accidentally." the whole point of the uniforms is to remove that individuality. similar to giving one live round and blanks to a fireing squad (if that was ever truely done). anonimity(ms) allows you teh freedom "to do many things some might consider...unnatural." har

I always said that the stormtroopers never being able to hit the main characters was a device of the filmmaking(obviously, LOL).

". . .and these blastpoints, too accurate for sandpeople. Only imperial stormtroopers are so precise. . .except when they are shooting at the heroes of this film."

The clone troopers are my favourite. Stormtroopers suck, soldier-wise, they can't shoot straight, but clone troopers...man, they are teh pwnage. Like in the Battle of Utapau, you had that clone run ontop of that crab droid and blast the crap out of him from on top (the one where they had to use a Navy SEAL for motion capture)

Well, stormtroopers have "diluted" qualities of clones due to some of the possably less effective clone samples used, and also due to the extra population of those "recruited simple humans" used.

Equipment wise, I guess general ST equipment have around the same effectiveness as the CTs. Sure tech is supposed to be higher in ST era, but CTs are somewhat of a elite, while STs are average soldiers. Now, vehicle wise its a 50:50.

Land vehicles its STs all the way(even pets for sand troopers!!) but CTs get better arial toys.

Yeah, it's too bad Jango's DNA got destroyed in that uprising at Kamino. the Empire was forced to use other hosts and conscripts. Oh well. . .

Jango's DNA was never destroyed. Jango clones were used in addition to other hosts and conscripts.

Where you hear this? what uprising?
