Jemrada Posted October 3, 2005 Share Posted October 3, 2005 I have been running a dedicated server on my WinXP for alittel while and I have been getting some hackers crashign my Jedi Outcast. jedi-Guard Posted October 3, 2005 Share Posted October 3, 2005 well i also though that i was the only one who had it, but i am paranoid so i have changed it 3 times allready, sometimes there can be something as admin that we type something wrong or forget a letter and PANG password have been typed and all can see it. aL BeasTie Posted October 5, 2005 Share Posted October 5, 2005 No he is right this is an exploit that allows someone to crash he server - more info here http://www.securiteam.com/securitynews/5AP051FFGY.html[\url] It relates to a dodgy print function that JKA uses being exploited, it's pathetic and disgusting that LucasArts have not addressed this problem with a new patch. This will allow someone to crash your server, I'm unsure and unable to find any more info. Someone has said that they could even create backdoors to the server and effectively hack the computer it's self but I am unsure if that is true. Can you stop hacks like this? thats a pretty vague description, you can carry up to 25 rockets at one time and you can fire them off pretty quickly in regular play w/o it being 'omg hax'. Kurgan Posted October 7, 2005 Share Posted October 7, 2005 As for the firing missiles thing.. test it yourself. Load up with rockets in your own game and fire them as fast as you can.
