The Hundred Year Darkness (The Second Great Schism)

This will help a story I’m writing about Juhn-Kai Ryu…your participation in this RP will be most appreciated by me :):D

The Hundred-Year Darkness (The Second Great Schism) (7,000 BBY).

The Dark Jedi created monstrous armies including Leviathans. The Dark Jedi lost the war in the final Battle of Corbos (6,900 BBY).

This conflict, called the Great Schism, led to the Fallen Jedi being banished by the Republic. These outcasts found a new home on the distant planet of Ziost, a desolate world inhabitated by the relatively primitive but unusually Force-sensitive Sith people. Using their training in the Force, the fallen Jedi amazed the Sith and elevated themselves to god-like status on Korriban, becoming the rulers of the Sith people. As years passed, and interbreeding occurred between the Fallen Jedi and the Sith, the term "Sith" came to mean not only the original inhabitants of Korriban, but also their fallen Jedi masters.

Remnants of the Dark Jedi casted out by the Republic are amasing an army to destroy the Jedi.

Several reports from the republic have confirmed that the Dark Jedi are going by the name of Sith Lords and seem to be gathering followers. The Sith have threatened the Jedi on a full scale Jedi War. The Sith have thousands of followers and the Jedi as well. They are to meet in battle on Rhen Var. The Jedi order gathers as many Jedi from the different Temples to Dantooine…

Rules: No godmoding, etc…you know the rules Redwing posted on this board….

On to the beginning…

- “Focus!” – Juhn-Kai said as he watched Jill practice with droids.

Jill quicly dispatched the droids and looked at Juhn-Kai, she bowed.

- “Good Jill, you’re becoming powerful…but you must remember a Jedi uses his power…” – Juhn-Kai said but was interrupted by Jill.

- “To protect those weaker than himself..got it Master” – Jill said.

They left the training room together and arrived at the hall. There were several encampments on the courtyard and hall. All the Jedi from all the different temples were arriving, even those from Coruscant were coming. Master Juhn-Kai and Jill had arrived only a week ago from a mission they had gone with the Banking clan on Muunilist. Jill went to their tent and entered it. She started meditating. Juhn-Kai was walking along the encampment and saw his friend Val-Kan. They greeted each other with a hug.

- "Juhn-Kai, long time no see my friend, how's Jill?" - Val-Kan asked.

- "Temperamental al usual, and Nomi?" - Juhn-Kai asked.

Val-Kan looked down and then turned to face Juhn-Kai again.

- "She fell in an encounter we had with Trandoshan slavers" - Val-Kan said.

- "I'm sorry my friend, she was a good student" - Juhn-Kai said.

- "Yes... but well I have to get going, several masters are arriving and I'm part of the welcoming party, see you around" - Val-Kan said and went away, Juhn-Kai started to walk around the encampment again.

Then the ship from Coruscant arrived.

Name: Emukiel "Eki" Ae-Saefar

Age: 39

Gender: Male

Species: Weequay

Appearance: 172cm in height with blue-greenish eyes and the topknot on his right side of head. He wears usually a dark brown jedi tunic and is rarely seen with his robes, even if he has them with him at most times. His hands are usually covered by leather gloves and his artistically made lightsaber hangs from his large belt. The belt is almost covered with small and large bags and pouches where he keeps his small stuff

Homeworld: Sriluur

Rank: Jedi master

Equipment: Lightsaber, communicator, holoprojector, water-bottle, etc.(What you need to survive, practically)

Bio: Trained from young age, he was a good student and did well. His master used to be one of the jedi from the great schism but was murdered while trying negotiating a deal with a Hutt. Once Emukiel had finished his training under a second master, he left for Sriluur where he started training youngsters from nearby systems on how to use the force. Most of the Sriluurians in the Jedi Temple of Coruscant have been his students. Eki has always loved helping people, even if his words have nowadays grown small and almost non-excisting. The Weequay can often be seen meditating or doing other type of force training

Other: Runs the jedi academy of Sriluur

---

A large shuttle with both of it's sides painted red and the middle in silver with the Republic logo in the front, landed softly onto a landing platform inside the jedi temple. A wide ramp lowered and the doorway above it opened, revealing three figures. You could see that the insides were cream white, instead of most republic ships with the pure white interior, and that it was larger from the inside than it looked from the outside. The three figures moved down, the light revealed the figures into jedi of three species. A Weequay, a human and a Twi'lek. The front man was the Weequay with only his tunic on and the other two wore robes, walking behind the man.

"Juhn-Kai! Where are you, you lousy worm? Do you call this a camp?" Emekiel shouted after stepping onto the steady ground. He smiled widely and headed towards Juhn-Kai with the two jedi still following him.

"I picked a couple of jedi on my way. They might prove useful" he continued a moment later

- "Eki old friend, it is good to see you after all this time" - Juhn-Kai said smiling, he then turned to the other jedi briefly - "Go report yourselves to Master Val-Kan, he'll set you up in a unit."

He then turned back to Eki.

-"How's the temple on Sriluur? I trust you must be as busy as we are with all the recent reports of these so called Sith" - Juhn-Kai said.

Name: Seriphyn Estranho

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Appearance: Dark skinned (not black) with longish, black hair and brown eyes. Tall, and seemingly lanky, but is actually very toned and muscular. Wears the standard Jedi robes (beige clothing, with brown robe)

Homeworld: Coruscant (parents from Corellia and Telos)

Equipment: Purple electrum lightsaber, composite battle armour and helmet, two customized commando pistols

Rank: Jedi Knight/Republic Military Commander

Bio: Seriphyn's mother, Renuka Premila, came from a large, underclass family on Corellia, before moving to Coruscant. There, she worked in the administration area of the Galactic Senate and quickly moved herself up the social ladder to middle class, along with most of her family. She soon met Edwar Estranho, an immigrant droid specialist from Telos. Eventually, they got married and had Seriphyn. Seriphyn was a leader from a very young age, and was slightly arrogant and egoistical, as most children are. At the age of 6, the Jedi Order took Seriphyn for training. The Council requested that Renuka and Edwar move elsewhere so they wouldn't interfer with Seriphyn's training, so they both moved to Telos. Seriphyn was seen by his masters to have great potential, but was no Chosen One. During his Padawan years, his master, Vijaay Thuri, was growing increasingly concerned of his arrogance. This led to his falling out with his romantic partner and fellow Jedi, Cla-Riice at 15 standard years old after five months of a secret relationship. Seriphyn reflected on this, and took the effort to control his arrogance. Now a Jedi Sentinel at 22, Seriphyn acts as some sort of reserve officer with the Republic military, as well as simply exploring the galaxy with fellow Jedi Samuel Nostaw and astromech droid, MY-175. Has the ability to use Force lightning, but has never used it as a tool to inflict suffering, unlike the Sith.

====================

NPC

====================

Name: Samuel Nostaw

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Appearance: Short at 5"10. Has long, circular blonde hair. Blue eyes and brown freckles

Homeworld: Taris

Rank: Republic Military Officer

Equipment: Repeater pistol, long-range beam rifle, customized vibroblade

Bio: Met Seriphyn during a Republic/Sith skirmish during his Padawan years. Is Seriphyn's de facto best friend. Has great respect for Seriphyn, due to his Force abilities. Very skilled with the vibroblade; has taken down several Dark Jedi himself with Seriphyn's teachings. Currently commanding a Republic ship near Nal Hutta.

Seriphyn casually made his way down the landing ramp of the Republic ship, briefly acknowledging the Twi'lek to his side. After sniffing the air of Dantooine (a much cleaner smell then Coruscant), Seriphyn reached in his pocket for his holocommunicator. An image of a blonde-haired Republic officer appeared.

"Sam? What's the situation onboard the Templar?" asked Seriphyn

Sam frowned before speaking, "We've had a few incidents with some local gangsters. Nothing yet"

Seriphyn shook his head "Look, I honestly don't think you'll find anything in Hutt Space. I suggest you move the Templar to the Rhen Var system. I feel a strong presence of the Force there. Watch yourself"

"I'll get right on that, Seri" Sam nodded before fuzzing up into nothing.

Seriphyn shoved the communicator into his pocket, before blaring some orders through his voice communicator to MY-175 onboard the ship. Seriphyn gave a bored yawn before walking towards Emukiel and two other Jedi just a few yards in front of him.

"Greetings" Seriphyn bowed, not sure of the ranks of the other two Jedi in front of him, "Pardon me interrupting. I am Jedi Knight and Republic Commander Seriphyn Estranho. I came here with Master Ae-Saefar. What can I do to be of service?"

The jedi bowed and thanked before walking away to find Val-Kan

"Sriluur is fine, but I got the masters doing some extra work around the academy. I just hope that the Sith won't turn their attention to the younglings of Sriluuk. If they do and get younglings onto their side, the whole system might be lost" Eki said and looked at him.

"I have heard tales of a blonde beauty that you are training. Are you sure it's safe to bring her with you?" he asked as his smile faded.

The lights in the shuttle from Sriluur shut down and a whistling astrodroid came down the ramp and over to the wing to fix something and a small hatch opened above the wing. The captain climbed out with the technician and started to open a small piece of the wing.

Eki turned to see them and shook his head.

"Glir, what are you doing?"

"The wings aren't balanced. If we get in a fight, we're toast"

"Well, hurry up with it, then. I don't know how long we're going to stay here"

Eki then turned to see Juhn-Kai again

Juhn-Kai sighed at the mention of his apprentice.

- "Jill is a good student, but she's temperamental...I hope I can drive the anger that constantly swells within her, and I don't have a choice but to take her, all the masters are leaving for the battle as are all the Knights, and since the council decided she's ready for the trials I cannot hold her back...Master Embok said the war will be the trial for many students" - Juhn-Kai said and saw a young man come to them and great them.

- "Seriphyn, I heard of you in the Coruscant Academy, Master Embok speaks highly of you...If you can, please gather all students, Master Val-Kan will give a message soon to all of them" - Juhn-Kai said to the young man and turned back to Eki.

- "As I was saying, if she comes with me I have a better chance of looking after her, we do not know what will happen once the battle is over, I prefer to have her on my side than loosing her to the dark...If she must face the darkside, I will see to it that she doesn't face it alone, I will guide her to the end" - Juhn-Kai said to Eki.

Name: Malia Ratarr

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Species: Human

Appearance: 5' 9" tall, 136 pounds, shoulder-length golden-brown hair, light blue-gray eyes

Homeworld: Corellia

Rank: Extremely Force sensitive, but neither Jedi nor Sith... yet.

Equipment: small, heavily modified blaster pistol, a single full-length sword, and a sniper rifle

Bio: Malia Ratarr was born and raised on Corellia. She learned quickly to defend herself from many different forms of attack. When she was sixteen, her parents were killed. Both Jedi and Sith were there and Malia suspects they were both a part of causing her parents' deaths. Therefore, she doesn't trust either group.

Currently, Malia works as a mercenary, hauling legal or illegal cargo, sentient beings or droids. She is moderately known throughout the outer rim as somebody who can get a job done quick and efficient. She works alone.

-----------------------

Malia's ship came out of hyperspace over Tatooine and she sighed. The desert planet was one of her least favorite places to go, but it was also one of the best paying places. So here she was again, doing business with a Hutt that wanted Force knew what. Malia allowed a small smile to come to her face.

"That's what I'm here to find out," she murmured. With that, she directed her ship down into the atmosphere toward Mos Eisley.

- "Lord Bekura, the Jedi have assembled their army" - A man in black robes said.

Lord Bekura stood up from the chair he was sitting on. He started pacing aroun the huge room of stone he had been living in for three months.

- "Good Kendo, the battle is near, the Jedi will face their destiny and we shall be triumphant" - Lord Bekura said.

- "What about the woman, the mercenary... Malia Ratarr?" - Kendo asked.

- "I have already dispatched Lord Krobb to handdle her on Tatooine...he will recruit her, if she decides to get difficult...he'll terminate her" - Lord Bekura said.

- "Yes my Lord" - Kendo responded.

- "Who is leading the unit of the Jedi?" - Lord Bekura asked.

- "There are three main regiments according to out intelligence reports... Juhn-Kai Ryu leads one, Emukiel Ae-Saefar, and Val-Kan...they lead the unit that will engage our first regiment" - Kendo replied.

- "Again those troublesome Jedi... I trust the regiment is ready?" - Lord Bekura asked.

- "Yes Lord Bekura, final simulations have ended" - Kendo said.

- "Good, Juhn-Kai will pay for what he did to me all those thousands of years ago, when he stopped me on Alderaan, on the final battle of the Creation of the Republic" - Lord Bekura said.

((Thanks... will do.))

Malia found her way to the Mos Eisley Cantina and found a seat in one of the darker corners of the already dark establishment. After a moment of watching the crowded Cantina, she reached into her coat and pulled out a small holoprojector. Setting it down on the table, she switched it on. It was a simple projection of the name 'Malia Ratarr' and would attract any that wanted to hire her.

"Good morning, Miss Ratarr," a stranger said, approaching the table immediately after she'd set up the holo. Malia glanced up at him and motioned for him to be seated.

"What do you want?" she asked.

"I want to hire you," the stranger answered.

"Start with a name," she told him. He sighed impatiently.

"Krobb."

Malia chuckled. "That's amusing."

"Why?" Krobb demanded, seeming a little annoyed. Malia merely shook her head.

"What do you want?" she repeated.

"To hire," he began, but she cut him off.

"You already said that," she snapped. "My temper is rather short. Get to the point."

"You've heard of the war between the Jedi and the Sith?" he asked, further annoyed that she dared to interrupt him.

"You're recruiting for the Sith side," Malia stated, staring pointedly at him. "You don't look Jedi." She shook her head slowly. "The answer is no."

"What?" Krobb demanded angrily. He was not used to people refusing him what he wanted.

"You heard me," Malia answered evenly. "Now move along. There might be others who will want to buy my services."

"They'll not get the chance," he growled, reaching forward and lifting her up by the neck. She went limp, allowing him to carry her out of the Cantina, but as soon as they were through its doors, she became suddenly active. A hard smack to the face, a knee to the groin, and Krobb collapsed, loosing his hold on Malia's neck.

"Next time, pick on someone who hasn't dealt with Force sensitives before," she snarled. Krobb leapt to his feet and his lightsaber came to life in his hand. Malia calmly drew her sword and faced him.

"This is laced with cortosis," she told him. "And I'm very good with it."

"This is a lightsaber," Krobb mimicked. "And I'm very good with it."

"Bring it on," Malia growled, prepared to defend against the first attack. And Krobb attacked.

Seriphyn frowned as the masters chatted away, feeling left out, but he didn't really want to be involved anyway.

A distressed MY-175 came beeping down the landing ramp of the Republic ship, his bright blue eye staring at Seriphyn enthuastically.

"Alright, come on then Emwhy" sighed Seriphyn.

The young man continued on his way to the tent, with Emwhy whirring behind him. He brushed away the drapes to reveal a very delicate looking young girl. Seriphyn raised his eyebrows. The girl looked half a standard decade his junior, definetely a Padawan, and was a bit pale looking. Still, the girl was rather attractive.

He turned back to Emwhy, who stopped at his somewhat dastardly look "I guess, age gaps do close, eh Emwhy?". Seriphyn grinned before walking into the tent proper.

Seriphyn stopped at about two metres away from the meditating girl. She was very still, her eyebrows weren't fluttering, and her...'pronounced' chest wasn't moving an inch. Seriphyn shifted in feeling awkward, before clearing his throat. He did it again. And again. Yet still, the girl didn't move at all.

He stepped a bit closer, almost as if to look down the girl's cloak. Stupid Jedi robes, he thought, very VERY modest.

Seriphyn stepped forward yet again, crouching down next to her, bringing his face very close to the girl's. Seriphyn was intrigued by how smooth and clean her skin was. He raised his hand to feel the beauty himself.

"What are you doing?" a telepathic voice came out of nowhere.

Seriphyn jumped up and immediatley stumbled back, losing his balance and crashing into a pile of plasteel boxes. The girl gasped and looked at the direction of the disturbance.

Embarrased, the young Jedi smiled , "Uh...hi..."

((To Seriphyn))

Jill opened her eyes, she saw a young man infront of her, it was Seriphyn, he had fallen on a pile of plasteel boxes. She smiled and giggled a little. He had said hi to her, she could see he was embarrased, after all she had felt him while meditating and had stayed that way just to fool around with him.

- "Hi, you've been here a while, haven't you?" - Jill asked Seriphyn who was only lying on the ground. She knew perfectly well what Seriphyn had been doing while she meditated but she only smiled at him and then introduced herself - "I'm Jill Devious, and who might you be?"

Eki smiled quietly and looked at the sky where a few more republic ships arrived.

"I would like to test her, if you don't mind Juhn-Kai" he asked after a short moment of silence, turning to see Juhn-Kai again.

He did not wait around for an answer, as a negative answer would not be taken into consideration. He turned and walked over to a larger tent in the back of the small field. He walked in, bowing his head a bit as the door was too small for him to walk throught in his full height.

"Valgo, my friend. You still brag with your money, don't you?" he asked and grinned at the Weequay, sitting on a soft pillow.

"Master Emukiel, am I glad to see you!" Valgo screamed and jumped up, coming over to hug him tightly.

"Now, now. Use your head, Valgo. You shouldn't go hugging masters" Emukiel said, pushing the weequay off of himself.

"Excuse me, master" Valgo said and took a step back, bowing deeply.

"It's allright. I need a favour from you. The padawan of Juhn-Kai should be tested, and as you were one of my best student on Sriluur, I've chosen you to test her"

"Oh...? Allright then, master. I'll go right away" Valgo said quietly and ran out of the tent to find Jill.

"Always too eager..." Eki noted and shook his head slightly, walking out of the tent slowly. He gave a short sigh and watched the group of tents that exceeded all over to the landing platforms. He walked quietly after Valgo, just to make sure he wouldn't go too far... or that she wouldn't go too far

Devious? Odd surname, I sense something in this one, Seriphyn thought. Snapping back to reality, Seriphyn frantically stood up. This girl was obviously a Padawan; he had to make her realise that he is the superior here.

"I am Jedi Knight and Republic Commander Seriphyn, Padawan Devious" said Seriphyn, emphasizing the words 'Knight' and 'Commander, in a tone that made it look like what just happened didn't happen. Emwhy came bleeping through the tent curtains. Seriphyn smiled. "And this is MY-175, or just Emwhy, my astromech droid" he said while patting the round steel head of Emwhy.

Seriphyn turned back to Jill, her bright blue eyes making contact with his. He was almost blinded. "Master Val-Kan has requested all of the Padawans' presence. He will be giving you all a very important message shortly"

Lightsaber flashed and sword blocked. Malia and Krobb continued to fight in the streets of Mos Eisley. They'd attracted quite a crowd now and Malia didn't like it. She could feel herself tiring. This Krobb fellow was not going to go down easy. While Malia liked a challenge, she wasn't sure if this was quite the challenge she'd been looking for.

Krobb kicked Malia and she flew backward into the crowd that had gathered. They helped her stand and pushed her back into combat. With such a 'helpful' crowd, Malia knew there was only one way she could win... and it had nothing to do with running. It was an old trick she'd learned from her father that she'd used on occasion when dealing with the Sith. It required only a little use of the Force and a strong determination to live.

"Here goes nothing," she murmured. She knew that what she was about to attempt would leave her well open to any sort of attack from Krobb if she failed to do it correctly, but if done right, Krobb wouldn't know what hit him. With that in mind, she threw her sword at him. He dodged it easily.

"That was foolish," he smirked, approaching her with his saber held high. "Now, you have no weapon."

She held up a hand in his direction as if begging him to leave her alive. He laughed.

"My orders are to kill you if you don't work for us," he told her. "So that's exactly what I'll be doing!"

Suddenly, he frowned. What was she doing? She'd cowered down, hand still outstretched toward him. Shrugging off his confusion, he raised his saber up in preparation for making the killing blow... that never happened. The crowd gasped as Malia's sword lifted slowly from where it had fallen and suddenly whipped around, stabbing Krobb through the back and into his heart.

"What..." he gasped. Malia stood slowly and watched him fall. Then, she retrieved her sword from his back, cleaned the blade with a bit of cloth she always carried with her, and walked away with a smirk. The Sith would never learn.

Jill stood up infront of Seriphyn. She bowed. She knew he was a Jedi Knight, but smiled, she tried not to laugh when Seriphyn emphasized his title. Now she knew he was embarrased but trying really hard not to show it.

- "Thank you, 'Knight' Seriphyn, I'll go look for Master Val-Kan in a moment, after all I did not finish my meditation...your "actions" while I was meditating broke my concentration abruptly and Master Juhn-Kai will get grumpy if I don't meditate for the time I'm supposed to" - Jill said and sat back down and smiling to him one last time she went back to meditating.

=================

Juhn-Kai saw Eki walk away from him, not giving him any time to answer. Though he sensed that any answer was unimportant to Eki. Juhn-Kai's mind was dwelling on Jill, for a little more than 18,000 years Juhn-Kai had been training Jedi, and Jill was the most he was uncertain of. Juhn-Kai had the habit of picking as his students the ones nobody wanted. He had made great Jedi out of most of them. Some had fallen to the darkside in the first Great Schism, but that never got him down, he perfected his teachings and even brought new ones to the order. But still Jill was unpredictable, one minute she was fine and the next she was frustrated and angry. Now he was wondering what kind of test would Eki submit his padawan to.

Val-Kan once again was talking to the masters, preparing the battle plan. Juhn-Kai had been an Admiral in the Republic Creation wars and Val-Kan too. But Juhn-Kai prefered to stay out of military business and dedicate himself to perfecting and creating his teachings. Val-Kan on the other hand always was better on the field of battle than off. Still Juhn-Kai would lead the main unit of Jedi Knights against the Sith, behind him would be Eki and Val-Kan. Juhn-Kai stood on a high plain of the academy looking down on the thousands of tents in the camp.

- "I pray this is enough to stop the sith" - Juhn-Kai said to himself.

================

From not far a man in white robes watched Malia fight the Sith Lord. He was amazed that she had power to use the force that he hadn't seen on untrained force sensitives.

- "I guess Master Embok was right to think she's powerful, but I sense she is restless M3" - the man said to an astrodroid who beeped happily in response to his comment.

- "Yes I know she's great looking too, but remember what I told you, Jedi have no such attachments and to seek them is forbbiden" - the man said.

The crowd started to clear from where Malia was, the man in white approached her.

- "Miss Malia Ratarr, my name is Zek Retall, Jedi Master...it is most unfortunate that you had to fight this man, this sith lord, but I'm most impressed by your ability to defeat him...would you mind if we spoke?" - Zek asked.

((WJ, you can either control Zek or you can answer, do what you want with him, just try not to kill him if you decide to go to the darkside, or if Malia accepts his recruitment you can use him as Malia's master or create a Master (woman or man whichever you like) travelling with Zek so Malia can have a master))

Onboard the Templar,

Captain Samuel Nostaw shifted in his command chair, looking at the never-ending tunnel spiralling through the bridge windows in front of him. Suddenly, the ship jolted, and the blue hyperspace outside was replaced with the plain darkness of ordinary space. And something else. A Leviathan-class Sith starship, orbiting above a dull beige-coloured world.

Sam immediately jumped out of his seat, "By the Force!"

Alarms started wailing on the bridge consoles to the left and right of Sam. "Incoming Sith fighters sir!" shouted an ensign.

Sam gritted his teeth, "Charge up the turrets. Turn the ship directly at that cruiser. When in range, immediately fire the main cannons at will"

The Sith fighters, charging directly at the Templar, opened fire on the cruiser. Beams of lasers raced past Sam and his crew, safely under the protection of the bridge shields.

"Increase forward shield power!" barked Sam

The Templar continued on its course towards the Sith starship, the bridge shaking briefly as the main cannons locked themselves into position. Just as the Templar got into range, the enemy cruiser shot into hyperspace, along with the fighters buzzing around the Templar.

"What? Report!" ordered a perplexed Sam.

"All hostiles out of range, sir. Looks like they jumped into hyperspace" replied another ensign from a seemingly random place onboard the bridge.

"Lieutenant, what's that planet down there?" asked Sam to the entourage on his left.

"Tatooine, sir. No central government, therefore no allegiance. A colony if you will, sir, with a couple or so crime-ridden settlements. Seems to be nothing more then a wretched hive of scum and villany, in my opinion"

Sam nodded "Alright, ready a garrison of troops. Take them down to the surface and occupy any major settlement you can find. I want to know what that Sith cruiser was doing there. And why."

======================================================

Seriphyn frowned as he watched Jill get back to meditating, before sighing out of boredom. He shrugged mentally and then headed back outside, followed by Emwhy.

Seriphyn's pocket rang. It was his holocommunicator. He fished in his pocket for it, and accepted the call. Samuel Nostaw appeared.

"Commander Estranho" greeted Sam. Odd, he was going all formal on Seriphyn. He never usaully does that. Something is up.

"Uh...yes, Captain?" Seriphyn decided to play along with the whole formal business.

"We've encounted a Sith capital ship orbiting the planet Tatooine. Looks like it drew us out of hyperspace. It fled before we got close enough to do any real damage. We're not too sure why there is a Sith ship here, so we're in the process of occupying the planet to find out" the Republic officer explained.

"Tatooine? Occupation? Captain, that place is full of gangsters and bounty hunters. I'm not too sure if that's a go-"

"We *will* find out why that Sith ship was here, Commander."

Seriphyn shook his head in major disapproval, "Nostaw, Tatooine is a colony of no significance. If the Senate find out that the Republic military is carrying out hostile takeovers of peaceful planets, there will be uproar across the galaxy"

Sam's face went grim, "This is no peaceful planet. We have all the necessary evidence to state that this planet is harbouring enemies of the Republic...and you. We will continue with the occupation."

Seriphyn sighed in defeat, "Very well, Captain. Just keep a look out for Jedi Master Zek Ratall. He's supposed to be on some sort of mission there. Speak to him; he would know what is going on"

The captain, now temporarily devoid of the fact that he's Seriphyn's best friend, nodded.

"May the Force be with you" said Seriphyn, trying to remind Sam that he is his best friend.

Nostaw simply stared at the Jedi, tilting his head back, before fuzzing up into nothing.

Seriphyn shoved his holocom into his pocket and then looked down at Emwhy, who drooed in insecurity. Seriphyn sighed in fear, before going off to gather the other students.

***

Seriphyn's encounters with the other students and Jedi were much more brief then the one with Jill Devious. He actually took effort to make sure that he didn't suddenly become attracted to the other female Jedi, and made it as blunt as possible.

Seriphyn, along with Emwhy, went up the hill to Juhn-Kai, who turned to him in response.

Seriphyn bowed, "Master Juhn-Kai, we are ready"

Emukiel walked slowly between tents, following Valgo's route as much as he could. He could see padawans taking notes from an old holocron, masters meditating and some doing last moment preperations or training. The encampment was in a buzz, and the trace of Valgo soon disappeared from Emukiel. This could take longer for the master to find Jill than it took of Valgo, and if the two would battle, he would not be there to put an end to it.

---

Valgo quickly rushed past many jedi, made a sharp turn and then stopped to look around and trying to sence Jill. He had always been good at tracking people down, and he hadn't lost his touch. He drew his sword and cut a hole into the back of Jill's tent, sneaking inside. He rose his sword ready and swung it towards the padawan's head. If the padawan would not raise her sword in time, Valgo would stop his sword just in time...

---

Eki now started rushing forwards, as he senced that Valgo drew his sword. He grinned quietly and sped his walk into a jog as he followed the tracks left by Valgo and messed up by other jedi. Emukiel hoped that he would get there in time

Seriphyn, upon the hill beside Juhn-Kai, shifted in agitation. A disturbance in the Force. He scanned the sea of tents to find Jill's desperately. He caught a glimpse of Master Ae-Saefar briskly walking in a combat ready stance towards what Seriphyn sensed to be Jill's tent.

Seriphyn inhaled slowly before turning to Juhn-Kai on his right, "Excuse me, Master" he said before leaping off the hilltop and began sliding down the side of the mound.

The Knight, upon landing, quickly brushed the dirt of his boots, activated his lightsaber and then navigated his way through the maze of tents to get to Jill. For some reason, obviously something to do with the Force, he felt that he was homing in on the young Padawan even though he was taking a random route.

The panicking Jedi found himself several metres behind Master Ae-Saefar, quickly deciding whether to join him, or compete to get to Jill first. Seriphyn decided the latter, non-Sith option.

"Master Ae-Saefar!" he shouted

Eki turned and looked at the jedi knight calling his name.

"Yes Seriphyn?" he asked and stopped to look at the man, his eyes shining from under his wrinkled eyebrows

He crossed his arms across his chest and looked at his lightsaber, raising his other eyebrow slightly.

"Why is your lightsaber in your hand in a community of jedi, or have you doubts of someone?" he asked and gave a smug smile and stood as straight as he could infornt of Seriphyn

Jill suddenly broke off from the meditation and moved quickly to the side, not drawing her lightsaber, she only kept her hand on it and looked at Valgo.

- "If I may, why have you attacked me?" - Jill asked. She was starting to feel angry for this, but suddenly her master's words rang in her ears "Anger is of the Dark side".

She started to recite the words of the jedi code in her head cooling off.

"There is no emotion, there is peace." She managed to cool down a bit and took her hand off the saber. Then she asked again.

- "Why have you drawn your sword against me?" - Jill asked much more calmed.

============

Juhn-Kai sensed everything from afar, he grinned a little and then felt relieved that Jill didn't attack Valgo in retaliation.

Val-Kan began rounding up the Padawans on the courtyard.

Ten minutes after their first introduction, Malia and Zek were seated in the colony's little cantina.

"That was an impressive show of talent," he told her. She shrugged.

"A gift some might call a curse, the Force is," she answered pointedly. She leaned across the table, coming nose to nose with him. "I have it and I know it." Settling back in her chair, she went on. "That's why you and the Sith are so eager to recruit me."

"True," Zek agreed.

"If I refuse you, are you going to try killing me like that Krobb character did?" she demanded bitterly. Zek's eyes widened.

"Jedi are peacemakers," he protested. "Unless you attack me first, I will not engage in combat with you."

"Not all Jedi," Malia snarled, letting her anger flare. "Jedi and Sith were both at the place where my parents were killed."

"The Jedi likely to stop the Sith," Zek cut in. "When we see trouble with Sith, we try to interrupt... to help."

"In that case, you failed," Malia retorted dryly. Zek nodded slowly, sorrofully.

"We are not all-powerful," he said quietly. "We fail from time to time, just like anyone else."

Malia watched him in silence, surprised at the emotion in his voice.

"Recently, the Jedi have become argumentative," he went on, more to himself than to his guest. "I fear we are headed for disaster..."

"Disaster?" Malia cut in, beginning to feel slightly nervous in the presence of this saddened Jedi. His eyes rose to find hers.

"Disaster," he agreed. "Please. We could use your help."

"And train me to use the Force to my full potential?" Malia asked suspiciously. Zek nodded.

"You have great potential," he said. "To have used the Force to backstab that Sith without prior training in the Force is quite an accomplishment. With a little training, you could find yourself a Knight in our Order."

"And let me strike at the Sith," Malia grinned. Zek sighed.

"That anger you hold will be one of the first areas we will try to work with you on," he said. "Anger springs from fear and leads through other feelings... to the Dark Side."

"Are you to be my..." Malia hesitated, unwilling to say the word.

"Master?" Zek finished for her. "No. I have a student of my own already. You will be entered in basic training classes until a Master feels drawn to you. It may happen in a matter of days... but it may take months. Patience is another key you must learn."

Malia nodded and took a deep breath to drown the urge to punch Zek in the face for his lecturing.

"Basic training classes?" she finally said. She chuckled a little and shook her head. "Don't you think I'm a bit old for that?"

"Well, everyone has to start somewhere, Miss Ratarr," Zek answered with a laugh. "How old are you?"

"I just had my twenty-first birthday two weeks ago," Malia answered. Zekk nodded.

"We've taken older students," he said. "I think you'll fit in just fine."

Malia allowed herself a small smile. "Thank you. Where should I go?"

"I assume you're going to want to keep your ship for the moment," Zek answered. "I'll meet you just outside Tatooine's gravity well and then I'll give you coordinates."

Malia nodded and stood. Thanking him again, she left the cantina and made for her ship. She felt as if, once again after so long, her life had purpose.

Seriphyn stared perplexed at the Weequay master, surprised at his sudden calmness.

"Master, I...I sensed a disturbance in the Force. Padawan Devious....she is...was in trouble, I think" Seriphyn bit his lower lip in embarrasment before deactivating his lightsaber.

I'm not quite a master of the Force yet, he thought to himself.

================================================

The Republic command ship landed in Mos Eisley's spaceport. As soon as the ramp was lowered, Republic troops came marching out followed by Captain Nostaw.

The Czerka rep in charge of the landing pad, angered at what he was seeing, jogged up to the Captain, "What in the Outer Rim are you doing here? This is a peaceful planet!"

Nostaw shook hi head, "Stand down, corper, we have evidence to believe that this planet, whatever you call it, has its allegiance to the Sith. Care to explain the presence of a Sith battleship in orbit?"

The rep was flabbergasted "The Sith? Here? You must be joking! I don't know anythi-"

Nostaw cut him off there, "Enough" he turned to one of his entourages, "Sergeant, arrest this man"

The soldier nodded before giving a brief gesture to two of his privates. The Czerka rep protested, but was soon dragged off.

The Captain scanned the landing pad, his face scrunched up in disgust of the place. Suddenly, a woman caught Nostaw's sight. She was walking briskly, her golden-brown hair wavering as the command ship's engines cooled.

"Hey! You!" he shouted.

((talking to Malia, btw))

=== It'sa my NPC ===

Name: Borata Fey'lya

Age: 47

Gender: Male

Species: Bothan

Appearance: 169cm in lenght, he usually wears a purple Bothan scholar's uniform and has two blaster pistols on his thick brown belt. There is a golden and silver belt buckle on the front of his belt. Borata's fur is golden brown and his eyes shine in dark orange colour

Homeworld: Bothawui

Rank: N/A

Equipment: Two blaster pistols, a spy-bot

Bio: Born into a highly trusted family, he was the black sheep of the family. Instead of using the information his family name gave him, he sold it to the highest bidder. He soon got riches and power to himself that his family only dreamed of, and so banished Borata. Since then, he has lived on Tatooine, gaining power that nobody but Jabba the Hutt could ever achieve. He is a good merchant and has little faith in any commander, as all can be bought at some price. His motto is 'Trust in nobody but yourself, and do even that when you're sain'

---

A small robot scurried on the landing platforms of the town and bepped and whistled every now and then. It hovered quite loudly over the republic troops and sent out a message to it's master.

A large beast, escorted by two hoverbikes and a hovercar stopped infront of the hangar where the republc ship had landed. Only a moment later, the doors were thrown open and Borata walked in with ten heavily armed men of different races.

"What is this republic onslaught all about? You have no jurisdiction on Tatooine you Republic scum!" the Bothan shouted loudly, walking towards the Republic commander, pushing soldiers off of his way as he went, even if the republic soldiers raised their blasters at him. Under the though exterior, Borota was indeed anctious if the few mercenaries he had hired would secure the other doors in time if there would be a dispute

The men of Borota's stopped by the door and set up some heavier equipment to stop the troops from passing throught those doors.

---

Valgo gave a mad grin and swung his sword again at Jill. A slighly mad laughter left his lips as he came towards her, his eyes shining brightly. You could easily think he had fallen to the dark side.

---

"When you end your sentence with the words 'I think', it's not safe for you to look into it yourself. Go help Juhn-Kai with the padawan. I'll get Devious" he said and turned to walk towards Jill's tent again.

Sam turned round to the mercenaries barging into the landing area, losing sight of the woman, who now had no significance. He heard safeties go off as rifles were raised, and turrets crunch as they locked in on the mercenaries.

The Captain slammed his hand out gesturing to stand down. The troopers reluctantly lowered their weapons.

"An onslaught you say? No, no! This is a pacification! I take it you weren't aware of the Sith cruiser orbiting this planet? I believe that's enough evidence to prove this is a Sith planet. However, that might be taking it a bit too far. We're just here to...declare martial law and get to the bottom of this. Of course, that ship could have just been passing by, for some reason or another. If that's the case, well, I believe that Tatooine is a major source of the galaxy's crime; I wouldn't want my landing to be in vain would I?"

===============================================

Seriphyn shifted indecisively as the master walked off. He wanted an excuse to see Jill again, but he wasn't a reckless Padawan and he certainly wasn't acting like a Knight at all. Seriphyn sighed before deactivating his lightsaber, and then made his way make to Juhn-Kai.

With a bored look on his face, Seriphyn bowed before Juhn-Kai and asked for his next orders.
