I definitly like the idea of more factions, if I haven't said this before. Like if they had the Mandalorian Wars factions. I don't know who fought in them though, lol. I assume the Mandalorians. :D Then they could have a separate campaign line for the Mandalorian Wars. Of course, if they aren't going to spend time making each faction different, I don't see much of a point.

One thing that would be amazing is if they added another timeframe, the Old Sith Wars from KOTOR, or the Mandalorian Wars (like Niner said).

For the Old Sith Wars (I think it's the Old Sith Wars anyway...) there would obviously be the Sith and Republic Troopers from KotOR which would be awesome.

The Mandalorian Wars would have the super-cool Mandos from KotOR and the Republic Troopers, and the command class for the Republic could be the Jedi as there were so many back then.

answer- not very. what you really need is something that was built with gaming in mind.

My laptop isn't brilliant as the specs aren't high, but treat it like a mid-spec PC and it behaves AOK. Just that for gaming, PCs are more cost-effective, but if money is no object, then specialised laptops are smaller and more "gamey" in the fact you can take them anywhere you feel like.

(BUT NEVER PLAY USING BATTERIES ALONE!)

Well, there really isn't any difference between Hunt and whatever-the-normal-mode-is-called, besides command posts. Besides, I would want The Naboo Royal Security forces, Wookiees, etc. drastically different from the main armies.
Yeah on BF2 it gungans on naboo instead of the royal security force

Sorry if this has been said, but they should make it so in campain mode only, it is more of an Action/Adventure game, so you start with a ship then while they are flying through space... Oh Em Gee! Droids! the Droids start to fire and so do the republic, the republic wins, blah blah, they move on. Kinda like that, and you fly from planet to planet doing missions and crap. And you could go in a planet, and halfway through a battle, you can leave said planet and stuff.

Yeah, it sounds like an okay idea, but maybe a bit... I don't know, RPGish(?) For battlefront. I don't really see the point of entering/leaving halfway through a battle I guess.

I've been in favor of maybe some level specific factons or units. They could add an interesting flavor to some maps. Maybe some could have a sort of level specific weapon/ability that gives them a bit of an edge over the otherwise more advanced enemy.

Maybe there could be a campaign for each faction. I think that they have something like this in galactic battlegrounds. You could fight the Clone Wars as the Republic, the CIS, and maybe even as a bountyhunter? There would be separate missions for each campaign.

That would go hand-in-hand with map-specific skins, but what would the differences in the weapons be? Maybe walkers and treaded vehicles would go slower in snowy or rainy weather, or weapons would overheat more often on a desert planet. Of course, those are hindrances, and not advantages. :/

I've also thought of something like this. The order you would play the campaigns would be: CIS, Republic, Empire, and Rebels. The CIS would start out as the Trade Federation at the Battle of Naboo, and that campaign would end in the middle of the Clone Wars. The Republic picks up from there, and continues until the end of Order 66. Then there would be the Imperial campaign (until Hoth), but the troops would still be in the Episode III armor for a mission or two until they upgrade into the classic stormtroopers, since twenty-some years pass between III and IV. Finally, the Rebels would start right after the Battle of Hoth, and they would finish at the conclusion of the Battle of Endor.

With this, the single player wouldn't feel as scattered, as everything would be connected in a way. It would be even more so if you played as a specific trooper in each campaign: the campaign would end when your character is killed in a cinematic, and the next campaign starts with the soldier that killed your previous character.

I like the idea for faction specific campaigns, but I'm not sure I want them to link up into one continuous campaign, like BF1. Instead I think each would get their own seperate path playing their side of the story each with a seperate set of goals and endings.

Maybe some missions could sort of 'overlap'. For example, at the start of the rebel campaign some missions are the ones you played as imperials, only now your fighting from the rebel perspective with your own unique set of objectives. Such as holding off the empire for a certain period of time while an evacuation is prepared, or maybe hiding explosives around your soon to be abandoned base. Later the missions would be pure 'rebel only' missions, until their last fight. The space battle above Endor.

Personally, I prefer campaigns that involve "screwing history". For sure, make a campaign like BF1 where the CIS always lose and Rebels always win, but perhaps make unlockable 2 other campaigns where the winner is the side chosen in what-if scenarios.

I think it'd be fun to see what happens if the Empire win or the CIS had won. They're not linked campagins, they end when the "final battle at X" is done, but they are there to show how history could have gone.

After all, the Star Wars Canon has been done to death. Let's make a GAME not another history lesson.

maybe a sot of triggers likee say you fail an objective that is not a major/primary objective, then you would go there or there. and if you suceed you go here or here. if you fail the major/primary objective/s though you must redo the mission

That would be very cool. Your path could depend on the outcome of the battle. Maybe you'd have to choose out of a couple objectives what you think is the most important to winning the battle. What you choose could also decide your next battle. Maybe along the way you'd be confronted by the enemy team. They'd ask you to join them, stuff like that?

i know its not out yet but it is in china but do you think its gonna be out for x box 360

it cant be out anywhere because 1) LA has not made it 2)it has not even been announced and 3)the only SW game sceduled this year is the two EaW games. and to answer your question IF LA makes a SWBF3 it will most likely be on the newest game systems available and PCs

Jesus Christ, yes it will probably be for the Xbox 360. Even if they had made it, why the hell would it be out in China before the whole of the western world? Lucasarts is American!!! My God... The level of ignorance in some people really scares me.

1. Make maps bigger, more immersive. Combine the space and planet battles. Basically, say your playing the Rebels, on Hoth, you run to the cannons and shoot at the landing craft carrying Stormtroopers. As the Empire you would not only fly the landing craft, but a limited number of Tie Fighters to escort the landers to the surface. The Rebels could also send a limited number of X-Wings or A-wings to attack the Star Destroyer that the Imperials spawn from - this would be a Command Post that could be captured if the engines, and shields are knocked out (much like the current space battles) and likewise with Echo Base - the shield generator must be destroyed to get into the base and capture the CP. The AT-ATs would only spawn if the Imperials captured the first command post on the surface - the furthest CP from Echo Base (and to balance this out the number of Tie Fighters available would drop. The number of X-Wings would drop as airspeeders became available.). So in this case, the Rebels could win if they capture all CPs including the Star Destroyer or the Empire would win if they took all CPs including Echo Base. On planets like Endor, Felucia, and Mustafar the Rebels would spawn from a cruiser in space and attack the fortified Imperial planet.

2. more leveling of class specific properties (other than the general leveling of stamina, increased damage, reduced damage, and the upgraded blaster pistol) These “class points” last through entire campaign.

▸ soldier/trooper - - level 2 -carry more ammo/detonators

level 3 -better blaster rifle, grenade launcher, electric arc caster, sonic blaster rifle.

level 4 -carry two two handed weapons- i.e. elite blaster rifle and arc caster,

instead of pistol.

level 5 -can fire weapons while jumping or rolling

▸ smuggler/engineer- level 2 -quicker repair

level 3 -better blaster rifle, blast cannon.

level 4 -slice

level 5 -carry more ammo/health supplies or auto vehicle repair.

▸ vanguard/shocktroop- level 2 - missile lock-on is faster and/or lock-on distance increase

level 3 -carry more/ lay more mines

level 4 -remote missiles, better flame blaster, mortars with larger

splash damage radius.

level 5 -carry blaster rifle (instead of pistol)

▸ sharpshooter/scout troop- level 2 - increase number of auto turrets dispensed.

level 3 -can steal enemy uniforms and hear enemy comms (USB headsets of other team) (will lose uniform if player opens fire on enemy)

level 4 -better sniper rifle, repeater sniper rifle, beam rifle

level 5 -ghille suit (bends light like the “Predator” or makes

character look like foliage, ice formation. Firing rifle makes player visible for a second).

▸ pilot - level 2- automatic repair of vehicles/ fighters.

level 3- can carry more time bombs.

level 4- elite blaster rifle replaces pistol.

level 5- increased damage using enemy’s vehicles/fighters.

***

3. weapon choices for classes.

▸ soldier- blaster rifle, grenade launcher, electric arc caster, sonic blaster rifle.

▸ smuggler/engineer- blaster rifle, blast cannon.

▸ vanguard/shocktroop- missile launcher, mortar, flame blaster (shoots blasts of napalm at a short to medium range).

▸ sharpshooter/scout troop- sniper rifle (multi zoom scope), sniper repeater (fixed scope, fires rapidly), beam rifle (can punch through up to three enemies)

***

4. atmospheric fighters back on ground maps. ( Republic gunship, Droid fighter on Geonosis)

5. crawling /swimming

6. jedi blocking ability enhanced by covering behind them (like in the movies).

7. return of BF1 maps like Rhen Var port and citidel, Bespin platforms (enhanced, of course).

8. a map on a water planet such as Kamino or Mon Calamari with battles on and under water on hover craft-battle ships and a few assorted islands. One faction would start under water in a Mon Calamari base and the other team on the islands (or start in space).

9. more objective driven goals for on-line:

▸ Destruction of the Echo base generator to get inside to the CP.

▸ Steal plans from Imperial Base on Rhen Var (as long as the Rebel, who steals it, keeps it in his possession, the CP where the plans were will be captured. If he is killed and an Imperial runs over the plans, they will return the plans and regain the CP (basically a capture-the-flag- Command Post).

10. some class specific goals (for on-line):

▸ Laser barrier in cave must be destroyed by smuggler/engineer detpack (or Bothian time bomb).

▸ Auto turrets must be destroyed by vanguard/shocktroop missile (or grenade launcher).

hey i have an idea for the game battlefront 3.What if in the game there was three layers of battle and each war had 50 maps and in the battle its huge1. on the ground 4x how it is with battlefront 2 with 1000's of soldiers on ground and lots of jedi and new everything soldiers ground vechicles factions,2. air battle with 100s of fighters and 100s of capital ships.and all new ships.3.so to get up to space you will have to dodge and space and air ships can effect the grounds so space will have 11000s of capital ships and spacefighters and frigrates.and if the ground troops are dying bring a group of capital ships down so everything in the three layers of battle has a purpose and that is a good idea for the game if any one agrees quoet my message.and someone help me get my ideas get over to lucas arts pleas!
