Underworld - The Beginning of the New War

Darth NeoVenom

Recommended Posts

It has been weeks after the fall of Viktor, the oldest and strongest of all Vampires, and Lucian, the leader of the Lycans. Selene believed she was fighting a war against the Lycans, but in truth is in a war that her own kind have started and is now fighting a war against her own kind, against Vampires…for she was the one that killed Viktor and helped Michael, a person who is half-Lycan and half-Vampire. After the whole incident at the Lycan base, she and Michael have fled to temporary refuge from the people who are looking for them, which are the Vampires that know of what Michael is and the actions Selene has took against the Coven. Alliances have been made between some Lycans and Vampires, to go against those that still have the bias idea that they cannot coexist amongst each other and against those that still think that anyone that believes in the “blending” of the species should not live. There are still a whole bunch of Lycans and Vampires who hate each other and will go against anyone that doesn’t share their points of view, even their own kind. The remaining Lycans have fled their old base and have re-established at another location only known to some Lycans and to Vampires who are with them. Some of the Vampires who were living in the infamous mansion they once called home have fled after knowing the truth and joined with either Selene or with Kraven, another Vampire that went against the Coven as well. There is a new war amongst all of them, a war against the opposing faction and a war against their own kind.

Deep inside the sewers, sitting on one of the chairs in the main dining room, NeoVenom thinks to himself. He still can't believe that their leader, Lucian, is dead, not only him but a whole bunch of people who were good friends of his. Just the thought made NeoVenom feel angry and want vengence towards whoever has killed his fellow Lycans. Not bearing it anymore, NeoVenom got up to his feet and went to one of the training rooms to clear up his mind. "This is not like you...you are better than this", he thought to himself as he walked out of the dining room.

At another part of town, Sabrina walks the streets with two other Vampires, both being fellow Death Dealers, Lorelei and Razz. She use to walk these very same streets without any worries, but now she has to look behind and around her due to her actions. She has left the mansion which was under the control of Kraven but is now in control of Marcus and went against the Coven. "Wonder were Selene has left to...I haven't heard from her in quite a bit", Sabrina whispered to the others. This thought has had her worried for Sabrina knew Selene as good as a sister would. Is Sabrina all right? Is she safe? She didn't know the answer to those questions.

"Yeah...with Michael and all..." Sabrina replied. As she took her gaze off Lorelei, she saw Tyberius ahead. Thankfully, she knew that Lycan was on their side. In an alleyway next to Tyberius, two Lycans were there, Gabe and Naz. Unlike the Lycans that follow NeoVenom's idea of a truce with the Vampires, they still hated Vampires no matter what and would not bother to kill any Lycan that are with them. "So what's your side, Tyberius? You with us or against us?" said Gabe as Tyberius passed by. Naz clipped a magazine with ultraviolet light into his desert eagle.

"Pity...just as foolish as NeoVenom." Before Tyberius could draw out his axe, Gabe and Naz pushed thru him, knocking him on his back. They ran across the street, opening fire on Sabrina, Lorelei, and Razz. Sabrina ducked behind a parked car but Razz was hit in the chest. Ultraviolet light came out of his mouth as he clutched the spot he was shot at. Sabrina draw out one of her Glock-18s and opened fire on them. One of her bullets hit Naz's right leg as Gabe ducked behind a parked car. Naz screamed in pain as he clutched his leg.

One of Tyberius’ bullets hit Naz in the right shoulder and his gun drops to the street. Bullets shatter majority of the parked cars windows as Sabrina and Lorelei take cover. Another Lycan, who was hiding at a similar alleyway across the street from where Gabe and Naz came out, joins in the gun battle and takes cover alongside Gabe. He then starts to open fire at Tyberius. "Damn it...he got back up." said Sabrina as she notices the arrival of the other Lycan. She quickly peaks out of her cover and returns fire. The bullets only manage to hit the car and not the opposing Lycans. She looks to her side and sees that Razz is dead, his skin dissolved around his cheeks due to the ultraviolet light that dimly glowed thru his throat.

None of the bullets Sabrina, Lorelei, or Tyberius were hitting the Lycans due to the fact that they kept hiding behind a car. "Alright cover me, I'm going end this before the cops come." Sabrina took out her other Glock-18 from its holster, set them both on burst, and backed up a little. Quickly she got up to her feet, sprinted to the car she was behind, jumped on top of it, and then jumped up in the air towards the Lycans. She soared 10 feet thru the air while doing a clockwise back flip and opened fire at the two Lycans. Both of them got hit by multiple bullets since they could not take any cover from the oncoming fire. Sabrina then landed on top of the parked car roof. “Ok…let’s go, quick, before the cops come.” said Sabrina to Lorelei and Tyberius. Sabrina jumped down the roof of the car she was on and took the guns the Lycans were using. She then ran over to Razz’s body and took his guy. “Follow me.” Sabrina said as she went into the alleyway Gabe and Naz were in.

Meanwhile, at Marcus' mansion...

As Zaris descended the main flight of stairs in the mansion's lounge area he saw three Death Dealers run through the room and out the front door.

"What are they up to?" Zaris asked a fellow vampire as he reached the bottom of the steps.

With a hint of attitude and an akward glare the vampire replied, "Death Dealer buissness," Then the vampire smirked, "What do you care?"

Zaris didn't dignify the rude gesture with a reply, he made for the mansion's girage. Getting into his own car Zaris followed the group of Death Dealers.

Back on the city streets...

"Okay, reinforcements are on their way," One Vampire said to another. "Good, let's just keep an eye on them untill help arrives."

From a rooftop two Death Dealers watched Sabrina, Lorelei, and Tyberius.

"Thank you." Sabrina said to Tyberius. "Anyways, let us hurry. I'm pretty sure we almost caught everyone's attention by now with that little fight." Sabrina, Tyberius, and Lorelei went into the alleyway, the Death Dealers on top of the roof followed. When they got out the other side, they almost ran into Zaris' car as he was driving. "That was close..." Sabrina said. The weather started to get gloomy in the night and then there was a flash of lightning. A couple of minutes later, Rain poured down into the city. This weather change made it bit difficult for the Death Dealers on the rooftop.

Maria Cage stood alone just inside a bookstore's entryway and stared out at the rain. There were two reasons she hated rain. The first was how uncomfortable it felt, splashing and splattering all over you, slightly slimy because of oils in the skin. The second was that it had the potential to ruin books, books she wanted to read, books she loved.

Yes, rain was bad. Thank God the bag her books were in was plastic... but that still didn't much help her disgust for what water would hit her. Wrinkling her nose, she hurried out to her car and got in as quickly as she could. A shiver ran down her spine as she slammed the door shut and glanced at the books in her hands. Good. Not too wet.

"Home," she murmured, turning the car on and backing out. It was time to go home.

Finally the cars stopped, Zaris pulled up beside them and got out. "What are doing here Zaris?" One of them demanded.

"I just want to see what's going on, get more involved with things." He shrugged casually, "I won't get in the way."

The Death Dealer's growled but didn't tell him off.

Of the two Death Dealers who were following Tyberius and the others, one continued pursuit on the rooftops while the other dropped down to inform the newcomers.

Zaris listened intently as they spoke, "We heard gunshots and saw two vampires and a lycan kill two lycan, and then run off. That's when we called for back up."

"They must be with the new clan we've been hearing about," Another Vampire interjected.

"We should capture one for questioning," Added another.

One vampire laughed, "One," He arched an eyebrow hinting that at least they could kill two.

"We should proceed with caution, maybe find out where their base is. Be careful though, they could meet up with more."

"Yeah," Another one added, "There's no telling how many there are."

"Right, let's move."

Finally they broke up and pursuied Tyberius and the others, Zaris tagged along but stayed back a ways.

(Out of Character: Well Lycans can only smell another when they are in their werewolf form, well in my RPG. It would be kinda cheesy if they can smell in human form. Reason why I say this is because if this was possible, then NeoVenom's base will be easy to find for those opposing Lycans, not to mention that Lycans will have an easy way of defeating their enemies in any location...even if they are hiding. You can rephrase the post to a way that Tyberius saw the Vampire on the roof.)

Sabrina and the other two went in and out of alleyways and crossed many streets, making it really difficult for the Death Dealer on the rooftop to follow them. Sabrina looked back as she crossed the street and into another alleyway and caught a glimpse of someone jumping down into the alleyway across the street from her. "I saw someone behind us. I don’t know who it was but I'm not taking any chances, I'm going to cause a distraction." said Sabrina. She pulled out her gun and fired at a passing car behind her. The Death Dealer took cover for he thought he was being fired at. The car skidded in the rain and crashed into another car. The car that was struck crashed into a passing car going to opposite direction and that car crushed into a car in front of it. Moments later, there was a massive pile up on that street. Smoke and debris were everywhere, making it difficult to see. Various people got out of their cars to see the damage while others yelled at each other. Because of this and the pile up of cars, the Death Dealer lost site of Sabrina, Lorelei, and Tyberius. Once the distraction was made, Sabrina and the others crossed another street and went into a train station. Sabrina felt sorry for what she did but her life is more important than causing an accident. Once inside the train station, Sabrina looked around again making sure no one was behind them or looking at them. Once it was safe, Sabrina and the others cautiously slipped out of view from everyone and into the train tunnels. "We are not going to where NeoVenom and the others are at right now, not until we are safe. In the meantime, we can go to another location that's safe. There’s a club not too far away, should take us about 45 minutes to get there. It's not a place where Vampires from that mansion will not go to anyways. Usually the exiles go there. And if it helps, I know the owner." said Sabrina as they ran deeper into the train tunnel.

Meanwhile, outside, the Death Dealer swore and went to look for the other Vampires. The Death Dealer then met up with some of the other vampires. "I lost view of them. Last time I saw them, they were heading east of St. Benedic." Not to far from the pile up, Maria was a bit behind the location of pile up and luckily didn’t get into it but now there is no way for her to go home by car. Walking or mass transportation are the only options now.

The vampires groveled in their missfortune, "They knew we were following them anyway."

"Let's spread out and keep an eye open, but I'm pretty sure we won't be seeing them again tonight," One of the vampires said. They all agreed and seperated.

"You can make yourself useful and spot from a rooftop too Zaris," The last vampire said to him before jumping up and out of sight.

Zaris thought about it and kept walking along the sidewalk. When he finally stopped he found himself looking down into the entrance of a subway station, a hunch suddenly hit him and he descended the stepps.

After running for a bit inside the train tunnel, Sabrina and the others heard rumbling off the distance. "Quickly, to the side." Sabrina said. Moments later, a train sped its way thru the tunnel with quickness and continued to the station where Zaris was going into. After the train has passed, the three continued walking until they came upon a tunnel door with a wheel crank in front of it. From its size, it seems like the only way to go thru this tunnel is thru crawling. She gave it a turn with all her strength and turned it once. A clank sound was heard on the other side and she pulled it open. One by one, they went into the tunnel. Being the last to enter, Sabrina closed the door from the inside and turned it once to lock it. "Just continue going forward, we'll end up in a sewer after a while. Hope you don't mind the smell." said Sabrina. The smell did not bother Sabrina for she has traveled these tunnels several times.
