Behind Star Wars is the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, brilliant set of films. Some others that I like include...

Batman Begins

King Arthur

Pirates of the Carribean

War of the Worlds

Harry Potter

Coach Carter

Spider-Man 1 & 2

UHF

I'm a pretty big movie guy, there's lots more that I like but these are the tops.

Fixed. I like all the movies Moeller listed. But also, the Lord of the Rings Trilogy is with the Star Wars Saga. The main reason why I played BFME I & II is because of the LotR movies. :xp:

Ditto on Office Space, King Arthur, and Red October.

One of my favorite little-known sleepers: Reign of Fire.

Favorite classic: Forbidden Planet (1956) ...WAY ahead of it's time, and better FX than some of the junk produced today.

Here's a tip for King Arthur: The DVD has an optional trivia track that displays text at the bottom of the screen. It's got some cool facts about history and the movie production. They actually built a one kilometer replica of Hadrians Wall on location for the movie!!

As far as I know Indy Jones 4 was put on the shelf indefinitely.

As for me...well...hmmm...not really the most amazing list I've ever made...pretty sure several movies are being left off and several new movies are carrying some weight because I can't remember everything when my DVD collection is at home.

For now...

1. Shawshank Redemption

2. Band of Brothers

3. The Producers (original Mel Brooks movie)

4. LOTR series

5. Monty Python's Holy Grail

6. McLintock

7. Zoolander

8. Anchorman

9. The Quiet Man

10. Support Your Local Sheriff

If Harrison Ford is excited about it, we know we have something to look forward to (and not an ill-conceived attempt at reviving an old series). Definitely looking forward to that one.

My favorite movie is "Casino Royale" with David Niven and Peter Sellars. After that, certainly the extended edition of "The Return of the King", along with just about every action-adventure trilogy out there. Eventually they all blend together, and it's hard to categorize them.
