New Weapons/Feats/Armour/Robes/Force Powers

In KOTORIII, there should be some new Weapons/Feats/Armour/Robes/Force Powers.

Here are my ideas:

Weapons

Count Dooku Style Lightsaber: Better than a normal Lightsaber.

Sniper Rifle: Can attack enemies from far away.

Feats

Echani Strike: Can fight without weapons better.

Meditation: Meditate when not fighting to get the Force back to full.

Armour

Republic Armour: So you feel like one of the Republic.

Sith Armour: To keep this time.

Various Mandalorian Armour: No reason.

Robes

Count Dooku Style Robe with Cape: Be cool to have.

Palpatine Robe with Hood: Also be cool to have.

ROTJ Luke Robe: Be better than a Dark Jedi Robe.

Other

Revan Mask: Be good to have it.

Nihilus Mask: Be good to have it.

One hand glove: For style.

Blindfold: To look like a Miraluka.

That's all I can think of so far.

Well, here's my opinion of your suggestions:

Dooku lightsaber - the only thing different about it is the hilt, better to simply have an option for customizing hilts.

Sniper Rifle - good one, definitely would be interesting.

Echani Strike - to me it looks the same as TSL's Unarmed Specialist feat.

Meditation - Now this is really Jedi-like.

Armour suggestions - I like them all.

Robe suggestions - don't like any of them, it would be better to restore the KoTOR 1 style Jedi robes, I mean it's 4000 years before the time from the movies, the Jedi couldn't have been wearing the same type of robes all that time.

Masks - unnecessary, on the other hand, if you (by some miracle) get to play as Revan, his full body armor with the mask would be pretty cool to get at some point in the game.

Don't get me wrong - visually the movie version of the Jedi robes look better, but more importantly, the KoTOR 1 Jedi robes, though not to cool-looking, really made me feel like I was playing a Star Wars game with a completely original appearance, it really added up to the fact that it's happening 4000 years before the movies.

Just a few:

- Powers

1) A kind of force "flame" power, which at it's highest level would be like stoffe's Incinerate power.

2) Force Camoflauge/Deception/Cloak - I don't think it needs any explanation (those would probably the different level names).

3) Droid Trick and Droid Confusion - they already have these for Humans and animals, why not for droids (basically G0-T0's special power).

4) Droid Heal/Repair - self-explanatory, these would be the heal power for droids.

Weapons:

1) Sniper rifle - increased range and good critical strikes.

2) Flamethrower - a weapon with limited fire ammo (the droid flamethrower on a gun). This could have other weapons too, like a Carbon-Freeze Rifle, etc.

3) Rocket launcher - again, Mira's wrist launcher except a rifle. For this, so it isn't overly powered, probably restrict it to a strength level and a weapon specialization.

Armor:

1) Republic armor - I like this idea also.

2) Sith armor - perhaps used in conjuction with the storyline, but like you said, you get to keep it.

3) And then perhaps several assorted armors like this - Mandalorian armor (real Mand. armor), and maybe even Ubese armor, etc...

Robes:

1) TSL robes - they were good, keep them and add a few more like them.

2) KOTOR-like padawan robes - robes that don't have the big long cloak. Several styles would be nice; K1 style short robes, padawan robes like the Disciple's clothing (always thought it looked like robes), or stuff like RGB's short robes mod. (look on PCGM)

3) Several of the Sith robes, like the dark Jedi suit and the Sith Master armor from K1, and the different clothing worn by Assassin's and Lord's in TSL. Like the Sith Trooper armor, only dark Jedi.

I don't have any feats, I may think of them later.

Weapons:

-The Count Dooku style lightsaber is a really interesting idea

-Sniper Rifle

Feats:

-Perhaps the ability to wield a melee weapon in one hand and a blaster in the other but does very poor for your defense.

Armor:

-I agree with the Republic and Sith armor it would be very nice to have it, as well as various Mandalorian armor.

-I would like to see the robes from K1 but more bulkier; Eg: Give normal clothing on Jolee in K1, have them look like that, maybe I would actually want to put on the red robe for once.

Powers:

-Have the ability to wield three lightsabers at a time like Kreia in the finale.

-When your near death have some sort of regeneration power; something like Sion. Only this power depletes all your force and puts it in your vitality.

I agree with RobQel-Droma the TSL and Kotor robes should be kept. But there

should be more Force powers and others modified. For example Force Crush should be modified so you can get it wen you level up,but there should be two levels Force Crush,at level 6 single crush one oponent second duel Force Crush 5-6 oponents with both hands. The weapon idea, the best one.

Looking at some of the other ideas.

Force Camoflauge/Deception/Cloak

Sounds too much like Stealth.

This sounds good. It should be a Dark Side Power though.

The TSL robes look cooler, but the KoTOR 1 robes make the game look more ''4000 years before the movies''. Maybe the best solution would be a third version of Jedi robes, a version that doesn't look like the one from the movies, or the one from KoTOR 1, but still gives the game that look I was talking about.

How about simple options like hoods-up/hoods-down, or instead of chose-of-head we get head customization like SWG. Yes I do mean stuff like hairstyle, hair color, lips, eyes, facual features and such. Well, you can make the guy more like yourself, or not, depending on what you want.

OR more decorative toys to play with, like bracelets and such, that will SHOW UP on the models. Less pathetic looking armor... Remember the stupid looking armor of Bane and such when you get them?

Also, different looks for saber hilts and such would be nice.

As for showing up on the models, that might not be too bad for some. But not to any great detail, since some of the item icons for, say, the guantlets are kind of ugly, or would look ugly combined with something else. So maybe you could just have (for example) the guanlets show up without any distinction, but just with a grey/chrome, black, or maybe brown color to them. But I don't think that it should be something big.

Sounds too much like Stealth.

Er... Isn't that the whole point? ;) Exactly, a Stealth ability but as a Force Power, just like Juhani has. Sure, you could invest skill and money into a stealth belt and the stealth skill, but many Jedi/Sith could cloak themselves without - like Juhani and Kreia.

My ideas:

-tunics & robes being different item slots (this could mean both KOTOR 1 & 2 robes)

-different robes with hoods up or down

-hoods down gives a disadvantage to persuasion but advantage to stealth & vice versa

- saber forms should be used better. Each form should have different animations. The forms should have greater advantages/disadvantages, Form VII shouldn't be so much greater

-forms should be linke into the story. eg Choose a form as a padawan at the start of the game and develop it throughout although this might not work as it could disrupt character classes and learning all the forms

Any comments?

Kreia could do Stealth because she had a Sith Assassin ability. Only Assassin and Kreia can do it and Juhani. Well she might have a Stealth belt on. We'll never know.

Lightsaber: I would love to get my hands on an adjustable saber. I would be unable to control my excitement if I had a saber that I could manipulate from an off hand shorty to a full-sized saber then into a staff like Maul in Episode I.

Armored Jedi Robes: Color and texture modifications to the already existing Jal-Shey or Zeison-Sha robes would be acceptable.

Although, I'd like to see more of a realistic, ancient jedi look to them.

They should also be able to accomodate all the underlays and inserts that are dicovered.

Jedi Robes: The hood ideas sound great. Up for stealth at some penalty.

When down stealth deceases a bit. Or something similar.

Also, Revan's robe and mask are just too awesome to ignore.

I'd Love to wear them.

Force Powers: Force Mind Grasp (mind reading)

Although jedi masters very rarely use this form of manipulation out of their devotion to their strict moral code, sith lords rely on this to anticipate the moves of their enemies.

Kreia showed some of this in her mind assault on Atton. Maybe we could aspire to this level of mind control.

If we were so inclined, we could use this to gather otherwise hidden information.

Perhaps even discover side quests this way.

Another force power that would be useful is the already mentioned Healing Meditation. Health regen at force cost.

They utilize something similar in Jade Empire where you spend chi to regain health.

I'd like to check this power out.

I wouldn't mind sniping enemies at a distance at times also.

The next game should have improved saber moves and animation.

If it is different for each style, so much the better.

Frankly, I think yours is the best idea yet.

That's not true. If your prestige class is the Jedi Watchman, you gain the feta Force comoflage and that allows you to activate stealth without a belt. This is strictly from TSL.

As to the prestige classes, I would like to see a robe or tunic that reflects the new prestige class, makes it distinct. I based this off an idea Rob made about different Jedi robes for those from different training academies.

No he's right, or she...If you look under the feats Kreia has she has Force Camouflage, it says Prerequisites Kreia or Jedi Watchman or Sith Assassin this is for Force Camouflage.

Weapons:

-New types of sabers, more exotic ones. Maybe a Count Dooku saber, it has a strange way of moving, or (like in Advent Children) a sword with the blade pointing down.

2-handed sabres could be cool too, as well as the saber-fist, like the one from Oldflash.

-Fist-weapons for normal classes

-More staffs (maybe even little walking sticks like Yoda and Palpatine had)

Feats:

-Pure Force Style, unarmed fighting using the force. Mace Windu used it on Dantooine, and in Jedi Academy some people use it too.

-Force Charge: Jumping at enemys, taking the battle airborne, giving certain bonusses and penalty (vs High ground for example) We already have force jump for Guardian, but it should be accesable for all classes

-More class-bound feats, more unique stuff for classes.

Armour & Robes

-Creating sutom ones at workbench

-Battlerobes

-More Jedi robes and Tunics

-Mandalorian armor

Other:

-Maybe creating your own evil mask as Darkside

-Upgrading your ship

-Fighter-battles

-Longer gameplay

-Online (Cooperative campaign?)

If you read Pottsie's entire quote he said that only Kreia, Juhani and the Sith Assassin had the Force Camoflage. Let me clarify: he forgot the Jedi Watchman. I was merely pointing out an error, an easily overlooked detail.
