FOC release date...

Hey, has anyone else noticed the ship date for FOC on lucasarts' store set as Oct 24th? I saw noticed this today and I didn't know whether that is truly official or not since I have seen just about everything stating TBA.

If this is the case I am gonna die waiting :ball: cuz 18 weeks (just about from now) is a long time and... with the cool stuff it's hard to be patient...

Let me know what you guys all think about this because I am very confused at the moment. (Not that it's a big deal or anything, just that it's some piece of info for the time being :D )

I figure September if we're lucky; October if everything's on schedule; November if Petroglyph need a little extra time... and next year if something goes horribly wrong.

lol yea let's just hope nothing goes wrong lol that would suck.

But maybe, just maybe, we'll get lucky... (yea right)

Although not confirmed but it could be on October 24th. But its shaping up to be great and because the basic game mechanics have been set, means that Petroglyph can focus more on gameplay etc.

LOL talk about out of touch. Thats the problem with no specialist sites. There is no way this expansion will be released then.

Hey, long time since ive posted been on Holiday, ive just been reading this and looked up STEaW:FoC on Play.com and according to them its not due for release till 30/03/2007(UK release)

Heres the link to see for yourself http://play.com/Games/PC/4-/1015356/Star_Wars_Empire_At_War_Forces_Of_Corruption/Product.html

Dont believe online retailers for release dates. When Empire at War wasnt confirmed on a release Amazon.com had the release date pushed beyond what everyone expected. And when the date was announced they quickly changed their date.

Stores do this so they can give customers an estimate, and they over do the estimate because they dont want to get customers mad if the date comes and no game comes with it. Better to over do an estimate and then retract it, to under do an estimate and expand it. :)
