Cutting it close

((Yeah, that's pretty much it))

The Commander, a sergeant as his co-pilot, and the second ARC-170 followed the shuttle into immediate danger of the planetoids, even if the turbolasers of the mining station were constantly securing the very immediate areas by constant fire. The lasers shots flashed as the shuttle and fighters plowed throught, evading the asteroids as well they could, even if the shields took damage from the constant flow of tiny rocks. The escorted shuttle flew swiftly before finally detatching fro mthe horrors of the massive asteroid field. the Acclamator was silent, almost like a ghost ship, until the shuttle came within tractor beam vicinity. Then the comlink flashed open and the Acclamator contacted the shuttle, requesting for clearance codes and to scan the ship incase the shuttle had been captured by CIS within the mining station. Everything checked out and the shields were put off for the shuttle and the escorting fighters to pass throught and inside the hangars where they would depart from their ships just before the hyperdrives were launched and the shields put back on.

Victor looked at the rest as the ship docked. He had successfully sorted his thoughts without any of the others finding out his lack of focus. He sighed and relaxed a little, his hand resting casually over his blade hilt. "It's almost typical that a businessman would refer us to a politician, don't you think?" he thought out loud. "Almost like subliminal advertisement. Oh well. I'm looking forward to whatever scandalous deed this senator's going to want us to do for his favor," he stated.

"You are forgetting essential things, Jedi. We have several platoons, as they are consisted of 36 troops. We have currently about 1,900 troops onboard, including crew and support personnel. This is a Regiment" Trilby said as he walked towards them from the fighters, signalling for the other pilots to go ahead without him.

"With a regiment, I think they would even give us a golden palace" the Clone Commander said and smiled under his helmet

"We got reinforcements from the cloners just a few days before we left. All the platoons are mixes between grunts and newbies. However, there are seven veterans to every new soldier. They'll be quite sufficent enought even if we were to make a landing on a hostile planet" the Commander said and looked at the jedi

((I hope you guys don't mind, you jedi, to put you in the landing bay.))

Niner walked out of the deserted barracks, the other 3 commandos off doing things, and walked to the landing bay, waiting for the jedi to come.

The shuttle came in and settled softly on the floor of the bay. The hatch came open with a hiss, and out walked 4 jedi, and some clones. Niner walked over to the first one, a female (Annika).

Niner nodded to captain Trilby, and extended his hand to the jedi.

"Hello, commander," Niner said, Fett's style of voice still thick in his voice, "I am commando 1309. Welcome to the Acclamator."

Greg stepped off the shuttle into the ship. He was always fascinated with ships, even as a kid. even though it was just a docking bay, he looked around it with awe noting down every little detail, just form the docking bay he could already tell the specifications of the ship.

"Commando, I think the jedi knows her own command ship. Carry on with your duties if you have any. Excuse me, generals, but I must depart to make sure everything is going as planned. General Kitan, would you possibly care to join me with your padawan?" he asked and turned off towards the mechanics approaching.

"Ah. Fill her up and make sure the computers are fine. We need it ready as soon as we jump out of hyperspace. The captain's inside if you need anything from him" the Clone Commander said before starting off towards the hangar doors

"Victor, Greggs," Alexa said, turning to the two Jedi men. "Report the end result of our meeting to the Council and inform them of our next stop. Once you have done that, you are free to explore the ship or get some rest, whichever you choose."

She gestured for Annika to follow her and together, they followed after Trilby.

((Ok, sorry. It's just that in Republic Commando, even if it was a captain, they said, sir. I'm sorry if this upset you. I just thought that was the way. Sorry. Niner is under Trilby's control. Sorry. It's just that I have nothing to do and I feel worthless.))

((You don't need to give me the dictionary definition. I know how to use sir. But in the military, it's used as the name for your superior. I know all that. I'm as stupid as you think. If you were higher than that person you would call them by their name, or rank, or, whatever.))((Maybe I should leave))((People do this to me all the time, that's why I am pissed.))((Just give me somethin' to do, please.))

"Absolutely." Greggs said then chuckled and headed to the ship. He contacted the council and told them the result and where they were headed next. He turned back out of the ship and headed to the repair bay, he was always fasinated by mechanical things.

((Actually..from knowledge I know from JROTC, militarily, anyone who is the rank of an Officer (2nd Lieutenant or Higher) is properly addressed in a conversation by "sir" or "ma'am," respectively. The only time in which you would use rank is if referring to them in conversation, not when speaking directly to them. Example: to them - "Sir, reporting for orders," and referral - "I requested orders from Colonel Smith." There is nothing incorrect with addressing a superior/higher/lower rank as "Sir," if they are an Officer rank, period, it is the proper military address. I don't know how Lucas preferred to do it in SW, but in reality, that is how it is done. I didn't say you can't address them by their rank for formality, but, there is nothing INCORRECT with using "Sir."))

Victor nodded without speaking another word and followed Greggs and helped him give the report. Once it was finished, he went to meditate. He didn't consult the others on his choice of activity, merely going to his quarters and beginning to meditate, finding his center of peace.

Upon reaching the command bridge, the Clone Commander walked to a fellow officer to make sure everything was alright before walking back to the jedi and removed the helmet.

"We should arrive in a day. I have ordered skeleton crew for now. The crew will need rest until we get to wherever these creatures send us to" he explained and walked over to the center of the bridge, looking out at the bright lines of stars swooshing past them.

"You know, Jedi, I like this change. Not having to dodge droidekas or shoot those pathetic weak droids"

Alexa nodded. "We all agree there, Commander. I just hope that something worse won't raise its ugly head to fight us in the absence of droids."

"Sith?" Annika worried. Alexa frowned.

"We already suspect the droid armies of being supported by the Sith," she said. "But I do think the droids are a little weak to be the full Sith army."

"Something more, then?" Annika pressed. "An army of actual saber-wielding Sith?"

"The 'Rule of Two' prevents that," Alexa answered. "But I am certainly expecting something worse than droids."

"All the more reason to find this missing army," Annika observed.
